Let's all band together to give encouragement to anyone needing that extra boost!
This Tuesday I'm taking my second driving test and I'm beginning to freak out a little.. As in upset tummy and not sleeping well kinda freaking out/nervous.
Those of you that drive, how bad was your driving test and haw many tries did it take?

I know that you guys do it differently to us here. But I passed first time and I was like you, really nervous and was to the point of thinking I was going to be sick, before my test. But it was honestly a lot better than I thought it would be. Once I was in the car, I relaxed a bit cos I was busy concentrating on what I was doing. I did mess up a bit and got all panicky and thought I had failed. But it was no where near as bad as I imagined it would be. It helped when I was honest to the guy taking my test, and told him that I was really nervous, cos he reassured me.

I failed my first time but I got it my second time. The parallel parking was what I was most afraid of, because I am not good at it (and it's stupid, that's the only time I have ever actually used it!). If you obey the law and act, confident (NOTE: Not cocky) then you should do fine because a confident driver is a better driver. Best of luck! And remember, it depends on the person testing you too. Some just won't give a first timer there license no matter how well they do.

Lou: If i'm not mistaken i think in Europe most cars are manual transmissions? I can drive stick just not well. Thankfully my car is automatic and then one i learned to drive in. Mumsy gave me her car and bought herself a new one!

Yeh, the majority of people here learn and do their test with manual cars, because then you can use both, rather than learning in an automatic and not knowing how to do clutch work.
Carla ~ I passed my test in September, and I only had to do parallel parking for the first time a couple months ago! I try to avoid it, but it'll do me good to practice it I guess. Luckily I didn't have to do it in my test! I did reverse round the corner, which I hit a dip and thought I'd hit the curb ;_; and I also did a turning in the road. So the manoeuvres were easy!

I haven't even started driving, although I've been legal to for almost a year. Everyone else in my year at school were all like, "Woo hoo! I can start learning to drive now! Let's go!!" and got lessons for their birthday. >>;
Me, I'm terrified of the thought of me behind a steering wheel. O.o When I think of cars and me driving, there is no hint of excitement whatsoever - more like sheer terror. XD Give me a horse to ride anyday: at least they have a brain and personality, etc. You can connect with a horse. Cars are... Just, I 'unno, it's hard to explain. Cold, metal and alien. o.o
I probably sound really silly. ^^;

Do not worry about it so much. A lot of things appear a lot harder to accomplish because worrying is a dominant emotion that freaks your mind out. Take some deep breaths and go on into the test thinking positively.
I have yet to go for my license and I need my mother to allow me to drive places with her in order to warm back up for the time when I do take that test (which should be soon lest I have to take another class to get that slip to be able to take the damn test again. That class was a waste of five hours of my precious time). I just want to take it already because I am not a bad driver and parallel parking is not as bad as I think it is; I just have to get a hang of it better.

Lol yeah, two of my best friends took me out to an amusement park and and i was kicking a** on the go-karts and bumper cars.. I should pass this one no problem since I know what I did last time and my mom has been getting on me when I make the same mistakes while out with her

We don't have to do it a huge amount here, it's all bay parking, but guess what? I didn't get taught that D; So I had to get the confidence on my own.

Drivers test are easy I passed the first time when I had to take the driving part of the test but I passed the second time for the written part.

My test is in like.. 2 hours... The written was easy as pie.. The behind the wheel is what I failed the last time. Hoping I don't this time.. plus.. Gramps is giving me $100.00 a GPS and dinner out if I pass. Mom is giving me a freakin car if I pass.. So hopefully tonight I'll have pics of my little red car
