Welcome to the Forest Outskirts!
This is where the forest thickens, leading into the deep wilderness. It is considered more wild than the Clans because the twolegs are farther away. Foxes and badgers tend to pass through and even live here but none settle for too long because of twoleg hunters that still have access to this area.
The Outskirts border ONLY StormClan; NightClan is surrounded by either abandoned twoleg homes or the carrionplace, BreezeClan is surrounded by twoleg homes/kittypet place, and SeaClan is surrounded by the sea.
So you can only reach the outskirts by passing through the other Clans or through one of the surrounding areas such as the kittypet place or the sea (and if SeaClan cats catch you swimming there you might want to watch out! ).
So basically only StormClan cats have access to this area and no other cat should be here without permission.
This is also where rogues make their home, if they would have any reason to stay. They usually just pass through, as the rogue way goes.

[A lithe black shape flowed down a hill, jewel green eyes glinting in the moonlight. Valiant had reached her goal at last. This was just like the place the old tom back at the dumpster had described. She must be close. Looking around, the she-cat felt a sense of security within the deep foliage and the tightly woven branches. She could get used to living in a place like this. Looking up at the stars, Valiant wondered if her mother was up there, silently guiding her towards her new life. Feeling as if she had all the time in the world, Valiant bounded forward, leaping over fallen branches and skirting around tree trunks. This sense of freedom was just elating her, giving her the strength to run and jump and frolic, despite the fact that she had traveled for many moons and hadn't eaten much in the past few days. As she ran, the she-cat came across a river. Thank the stars! She had been so thirsty! Slowing to a stop, flank heaving, Valiant slowly waded into the stream enjoying the feeling of the warm water on her silky black fur. Sighing with happiness, Valiant drank eagerly from the stream, then padded out of the stream and shook out her fur, feeling the cool air flow through her, bringing smells of flowers and new growth. It was fitting, seeing as it was a new beginning for her, leaving room for new growth, new friends, new memories. But first, she had to find the Clans]

[Ravenwing took a deep breath as his head broke the surface of the water, water running off his fur in small streams. When he said he was going for a walk or a small swim, his paws decided to take him for a very long swim along the edge of the giant expanse of the lake. Half of him regretted his pointless decision, but hey, how bad could a little exploring be? After all, he had never swam in this direction and it won't do any harm to explore the outskirts a little. The land did not belong to any clan, so no one could attack him. Shiftstar would probably get a bit annoyed at him and give him the owl stare, but she seemed preoccupied with Sunstream and probably would not take any notice.]
[The lithe black tom climbed to the shore of the lake where a stream ran into the large body of water, shaking his fur out once his paws touched land. He had been careful to stay along the shallow parts of the lake, but still it had been immensely tiring. A stupid decision? Probably not. A very stupid decision? Maybe. He snorted the remaining water out of his nose as he trotted onwards, hoping to do some exploring. It was at that moment he heard water splashing not far in front of him, and his whole body tensed. A badger, or maybe a fox? Ravenwing slowly crept forwards, staying downwind like how he would stalk a piece of prey. He let the streamside reeds obscure his form, then raised his head up to see what creature could be lurking in the stream.]
[If his jaws could reach all the way onto the ground, he was sure they would have dropped that far.]
[Holy Starclan, that she-cat was gorgeous. Ravenwing's expression was vacant as he stared at the she-cat in front of him, his jaws slightly agape. The Ravenwing in his mind had already flopped over and fainted from a nosebleed. Even Starclan itself couldn't create a she-cat as beautiful as this! [Valiant settled down by the quiet stream, green eyes half-closed as she relaxed. Geez, how long had it been since she had just laid down and enjoyed the scenery? Too long.. The thought made her screw up her muzzle in displeasure. But she was here now, and the she-cat had promised herself to stop dwelling in the past. The future was now, and it was time to start living. She had been suffocated by fear ever since she was a kit, but she had never let it get the best of her, didn't that entitle her to some kind of prize? Maybe this was it, a new home, a new life, perhaps that was her reward. Valiant was alright with that. Inhaling deeply, she let the scents of the flowers and the forest run through her veins, completely at ease. The surrounding area seemed to be deserted anyways. Or so she had thought. The she-cat's trained ears detected the soft sounds of something coming towards her. Whoever it was, they were obviously very skilled, hardly making a noise. Ears pricked, green eyes wide, Valiant leapt to her paws and padded forward, keeping near the shadows where she blended in well. Suddenly, an unknown cat appeared, slightly startling Valiant. Narrowing her eyes, she crept closer, feeling as though she was seeing her own reflection as she looked at the cat. Sniffing the air, she found his scent completely foriegn, reeking of the unknown. Her defenses went up, claws sliding out, as she took another step forward, tilting her head to the side as she inspected him, green eyes slightly confused]
"Who are you?"
[As Valiant inspected him, she began to find his expression somewhat comical. The cat seemed to be completely awestruck by something. Her guard still up, she padded forward until they were almost nose to nose. What was wrong with this guy?]
"Uh, are you okay?"

["Who are you? Are you ok?" Ravenwing noticed that the she-cat looked almost identical to himself, and even as she spoke he barely even heard her. Was he ok? He was more than ok, in fact he felt like he was soaring. She was undoubtedly the most beautiful cat he had ever laid eyes on! And that was saying a lot, since Ravenwing had laid his eyes on many, many she-cats. "Ah, I'm more than ok m'lady, in fact I'm -" Seeing her suddenly pad up to him and stick her nose right in front of him, he took a startled step back and slipped, plunging backwards into the stream. A few bubbles rose to the surface and popped, and it was a few long moments before his ebony head broke the water surface again, turning his gaze back to Valiant but without the blank look. "Perfectly fine." He finished off his sentence with a splutter, the Ravenwing in his mind repeatedly bashing his head against a tree for looking so stupid in front of a she-cat. "M'lady, my name's Ravenwing, and I must confess - my eyes have never lain on any cat as beautiful as you. May I have the honour of asking for your name?" Quickly regainint his composure, Ravenwing grouched down onto his front legs in what he perceived as a very elegant (cat) bow, the usual playful look returning to his eyes, replacing his previous blank and adoring expression.] ██████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ Layout Ⓒ iZann

[Valiant watched the tom curiously, green eyes taking him in. Very handsome, obviously, well-groomed pelt, that was a plus, nice eyes, even better. As long as he had a good personality, the she-cat felt as though she wouldn't mind having another conversation with him. Her ears pricked as he spoke, taking in his smooth tone, then twitched in surprise as he unexpectedly fell into the stream. Darting forward, Valiant peered into the watery depths, a small smile stretching across her muzzle. Kind of clumsy, but still sort of cute. As he broke the surface and climbed back onto land, the she-cat took a step back, still slightly wary of the newcomer. On the bright side, had hadn't tried to kill her yet, so he couldn't be all bad. As the handsome tom spoke his name, a puzzled look crept into Valiant's gaze. Ravenwing? That sounds..odd.. Maybe he knows of the Clans. Her thoughts were soon interrupted as she took in the rest of his sentence, feeling shock and slight embarrassment course through her at his compliment. No one had ever called her beautiful before. Realizing with a start it was her turn to introduce herself, Valiant composed herself and looked back at this.. Ravenwing, feeling her unease flare back up. The many moons of meeting nice cats during her journey had softened up Valiant. For all she knew, this tom could be plotting to kill her! What's the matter with you? Always be alert! Geez Valiant, trying to lose your head here? The she-cat eyed him suspiciously, then spoke]
"Ravenwing, huh? 'm Valiant,"
[Still watching him closely, Valiant's eyes narrowed in slight confusion as he bowed forward. What was he doing? Then it clicked. Maybe this was something cats did when they met each other where he came from! Or, of course, it could just be some sign that he wanted to kill her. Either way, she didn't want to risk embarrassing herself by bowing back, so Valiant remained upright, ebony fur still bristling]

[Ravenwing's ears flattened very slightly when the she-cat Valiant eyed him suspiciously, her fur bristling along her back. He definitely did not do anything wrong, so why was she angry and suspicious at him? He immediately straightened up after seeing her still standing upright, feeling a little awkward in his position. "Valiant, an interesting name. So are you valiant at heart, or only by name?" He asked teasingly, padding alongside her and flicking his tail across her cheek like he always did to tease she-cats. Most reactions he got were either nervous, embarrassed looks or a pawful of claws to his face...the claw marks from Dragonfire were still very evident across his nose. "So where d'you come from? Rogues aren't too welcome around here, y'know." He said in the softest and gentlest voice he could muster, in case she decides to pounce at him and give him a good smack across the face. Judging from how she glared at him when he did his polite-gentletom-bow, he won't be surprised if she spits at him and walks away. Am I losing my touch with she-cats? [Valiant kept her glowing green eyes on the tom, watching as he sat upright, seeming somewhat confused. The she-cat tilted her head to the side, listening to the sound of his voice as he spoke, very calm and smooth, her ears pricking slightly as his question registered in her head. Was she really going to launch into her history and tell him how she had come to be named Valiant? No! She had only just met this guy, there was no way he was gonna get to the deep stuff in the first meeting. Maybe after they got to know each other, Valiant would open up and tell him about her mother, her sister, and Shark, but for now, that would remain hidden. So, she avoided Ravenwing's question, not bothering to answer, instead, she kept silent and waited until he spoke again. As he did, Valiant nodded slightly. She could answer this question]
"Well, I'm on a journey, I'm searching for the-"
[Valiant cut herself off as his tail trailed across her cheek, green eyes suddenly blazing. She leapt to her paws and lifted one leg up, claws extended, glinting sharply. Who did he think he was?! The she-cat growled softly, then paused, leaving her paw a mouse-length from his muzzle, debating on whether or not to slice him open right there. But then again, he was the only one she knew at the moment, so she sighed and retracted her claws, placing her ebony paw on the ground once more, eyes still narrowed]
"Don't touch me."
