Does anyone know what glamoury refers to? I've come across multiple vague definitions, and I'm still confused.

No idea what Glamoury is but it looks kinda like Grimorie. Could that be what you meant?

No, I didn't mean grimoire.

Below is one book that claims to be about this magical subject:
Glamoury: Magic of the Celtic Green World by Stephen Blamires.

I found one other message board talking about glamoury magic resources, but it didn't give a concrete definition, only a large booklist that had a lot of books with the word "Celtic" in their name.

if it is what I think you are talking about a glamour is a spell directed at altering the way one appears or is perceived. (in TV shows this takes the form of literal transformation) In legit magic it is used to change how others perceived you by altering your aura or creating an aura of a certain aspect (trustworthiness, responsibility , respectable etc.) or it can even be used to conceal ones presence (not literal invisibility but rather not attracting attention)
I hope this helps

I don't know about Celtic glamoury myself but I would look into those sources since the Celtic tradition is one that is one that a lot of misinformation has written about it.

Going to echo oceantail on this one - the only context I've really ever heard that in, is more of an illusion-type magic - like "changing your eye color" (which is more about influencing other's perceptions, rather than actually making any sort of physical changes).

Also, as he mentioned the misconceptions about the "Celts" are abundant. The very first of which is that there really isn't any over-arching "Celt" religion/culture ect... Celt is simply a linguistic grouping, and there really wasn't much commonality between the practices and traditions between the various peoples that are in that grouping. Llewellyn Publishing is notorious for putting out books that are full of misappropriations and misconceptions, so you are right to be wary of what they are claiming.

I can ask around a bit and see if I can find a better answer for you.
