Alec whimpered as he was thrown into the small cage roughly by the guard. He jumped and shrank back in fear when the man slammed the cage door, touching his now bleeding lip. The cage was only big enough for him to sit up in but he did not bother, staying low to the floor as his ears laid back. Every time a guard would pass by or kick his cage the frightened neko would shrink back, trying desperately to hide. 'Why are they always so cruel?' he asked himself for the hundredth time just like every other time he had been stuck here. He trembled from fear and from the cold touch of the cement floor, wishing and hoping for someone to save him.

Alec silently crawled to the front of his cage when he heard voices. He looked at the angels then at the men standing and talking to them. As usual Alec was passed by, completely invisible to others around him. It made him feel all the more lonely and forgotten but he just sighed and backed up again, sitting up in the back of his cage. He shivered as his back touched the cold bars and brought his long brown tail around to wrap it around his waist.

When Alec heard someone walk into the market he moved back to the front of the cage. He tilted his head curiously, seeing the boy tug on the guard's jacket... The guard sighed and frowned when he felt a tug on his sleeve, turning and looking down at Noro. 'A customer.' he thought as he listened to the boy. They were told to obey even the youngest of customers so he smiled and nodded. "Yes, young one, We have a little neko about your age and if i am correct we have another neko coming in early tomorrow." he said, looking at a clipboard for the names. "Right this way." he said, leading the young master to Alec's cage "This is Alec. Race: neko. Age: 17" he said, reading off the pet's information... Alec shrank back a little when the guard and boy walked over but his curiosity kicked in when he saw Noro up close. His big blue eyes begged Noro to take him out of the small cramped cage. His tail flicked nervously behind him as he waited for the boy's decision... "This is Coby." the guard said, showing Noro a picture of the small neko. "He is a neko and his age is 15. But he will not arrive until tomorrow unless you would like us to deliver him to your home then he will be there by tonight if you order him now." he said, scowling down at Alec, making the neko shrink back a little.

Alec sighed and bit his lip nervously when he saw the skeptic look on the boy's face. He was used to being rejected so this was nothing new. When he looked up at saw Noro's big smile his ears stood up, excited for a moment until the boy spoke suddenly. Alec jumped at Noro's energetic voice, shrinking back away from the energetic master. This he was not used to, being timid and soft spoken, Alec was not used to being spoken to like this. He thought for a second, curious as to what his master would be like. He quickly nodded at Noro "Y-yes please!" he said quietly but excitedly, his eyes perking up once more. He waited impatiently as the guard opened the cage and clipped a leash onto his collar and handed it to Noro. Alec very timidly crawled out of the cage and stood, playing with the hem of his shirt a little nervously. He was a little small for his age an d skinny from lack of a good meal in months. He stood almost a foot taller than Noro but he felt small as the guard glared down at him before asking noro for payment.

Excited to have a new companion he looked into the sack and thought for a second. He handed the sack to the guard with a thoothy grin and said, "If that's enough for the other one too, can you please deliver him to the adress printed on the bag?" Then he smiled back to the taller boy. "Alec right? We'll be like brothers! This'll be fun! I had an older brother when I was small. Too small to remeber him though. Before my dad sold me off. I only know from a picture I found." He said this as if it didn't bother him at all that he didn't know his family and his dad sold him to some horrible person. Ten years ago he was so sad and quiet. Now, however he was just like any other pup thanks to his papa dog.
