A young boy named Jayden Walker was on top of the world until his parents were suddenly taken away from him. Once outgoing and delightful to be around, he had been reduced to little more than a recluse within his new home; Briar Orphanage.
The staff tried their best to care for and nurture the poor boy, but nothing ever helped. He was alone, and felt every moment of that misery. One of the staff noticed he was having a particularly hard time sleeping. Every night he would toss and turn, sometimes going as far as to scream in fear of his unrelenting nightmares. He would often resort to curling into a tight ball and crying himself to sleep. So the staff took it upon themselves to do whatever it took to make him feel better, and it was this that led to Jayden meeting who would soon become his best friend; a stuffed bear he named Tobey.
And he is the true lead of our story.
Every night, when Jayden drifts to sleep, Tobey rises up in protecting of the young boy. Toy wooden sword and shield in paw, Tobey fends off the fearsome nightmares that would seek to haunt the poor boy, and forge him happy dreams to take their place.
