For Christmas/Winter Solstice I'm getting my husband and son a PSP. I just have no idea what games to get. I love playing video games but I am really not up to date on the handhelds. I did decided PSP over the DS and I'm going with the PSP 3000. However, games I have no idea. Does anybody have any recommendations for games for a kid and an adult (who likes action and shooting games).

It is almost the same with me. We did get a PS 3 and I only have one game for it which is God of War 3. Anything after that I am clueless.

I find loco roco quite fun...it involves collecting all these little blobs together in a level, and saving them from the evil blobs...hmmm, sounds weird, but it's fun to play. It take a fair bit of know how to complete every level with all the items, and all your blobs smile

I was looking the games up and Loco Roco 2 is listed as one of the top 20 games ever made for the PSP. I hope game stop has it when I go. I'm trading in a whole bunch of other games so I hope they have either 1 or 2 when I go. Downstream panic is supposed to be like Loco Roco and it's said to be quite good too.

ya know, I've been pretty pissed off about Pokemon games ever since the rights were sold to hasbro. but the new Black and White versions are pretty baddass awesome! smile
though I think those are for DS... it is Nintendo, after all. kinda makes me want to get one of those... >.> or leastways use a DS simulator on a computer and download Pokemon White illegaly! xd

Lol! I will admit, I have a few illegally downloaded Wii games. But that's because Harvest Moon can be so hard to find. I never played Pokemon though.

realy! O.O
wow, you need to start with Red/Blue/or Yellow version, then get a Gold/Silver/or Crystal version.
after that, Ruby/Sapphire/or Emerald version are optional (good, but realy the same old thing), and then skip the diamond/peral/platinum cause it's super-stupid, and pick up Black or White version. ^_^
and don't get pre-owned, because they are usually glitchy, and from Gold/Silver up they had clocks and calandars which run on intrnal batteris; you'd just be missing out on the experience.
download the games to a Gameboy simulator.

Hey I liked Platinum. Way better than D/P, but definitely not as good as B/W. HeartGold/SoulSilver are my all time favorites though.

I realyhated heartgold and soulsilver, and as awesome as the region for diamond/pearl/platinum was, the pokemon made NO sense and were completely rediculous! xp but I'm totally biased! xd Silver was the BEST! I submit even to this day!

Same game, better AI, Graphics, more stuff to do, and a Safari Zone. Can't beat that.

I realy feel like it's a completely different game, and I don't like it's graphics, or any of the ways it changed. I also dislike the fact that it markets itself as a remake, but realy isn't the ame at all. ninja
