APG will be 7 years old on Sept 23rd.
I feel like keeping the guild alive is like beating a dead horse.
There are still posts from April and it's almost mid August.
It's been very quiet for over a year. I don't blame anyone.
We've all grown and have so much more on our plate then ever before.
Some of you are no longer high school kids, but young adults in college.
Some of you no longer live at home with your parents, you've moved out.
Some of you don't depend on them for living expenses, you've gotten jobs of your own.
Some of you have found love and that's caused you to start a new chapter in your life.
Whatever the case may be, we've all moved on from the guild
(or even just Gaia in general) to bigger an better things in 7 years.
I've decided to let it finally end the day it began and
maybe just start up a post in Gaia's guild forums for us to stay in touch.
(or those who don't have a facebook account)
I don't want anyone to say, "I'm sorry for not posting as much Kira!" or anything of the like.
But I would like for everyone to stay in touch.
You're all some of the greatest people I've ever met or had in my life.
So if you like the idea of a forum topic, please vote in the poll.

I think its a good idea. I mean I'm rarely ever on Gaia anymore and I know i'm not the only one. so its not like a goodbye, but more of a see you later

D_Vious I think its a good idea. I mean I'm rarely ever on Gaia anymore and I know i'm not the only one. so its not like a goodbye, but more of a see you later I concur; it's definitely not the end, but more of a "see you later, we'll catch up sometime". I like the idea of having a forum post, even if it's just so we can check in on others every once in a while and chat.

I really don't feel that any effort was made to revitalize this place or drum up new members. I think a lot of this blame falls on the crew. Members come and go, that's a given. But the crew's responsibility is to maintain the membership and give everyone a reason to come back.
That being said, I do think this is (sadly) the right decision. At this point this place needs too much a revitalization to warrant a retooling. I think I'll keep in touch with everyone and probably come back to Gaia from time to time.

Man... seven years, boy do I feel old now. 20 years, working at a university for the summer and whatnot... I've definitely had my ups and downs here, and you've had to bear witness to a lot of it. The APG was a place where I could be my nerdy self when school was less forgiving. I made a lot of good friends here, and new ones through you as well.
So thanks guys. See you around and stuff? Feel free to add me on Facebook. (I mean, seriously. How many Sedona Parnham's do you need to filter through? haha)
Maybe you guys will play games by yours truly in the future!

Aw. I'm sad to see this place close down. This is where I met my boyfriend (Love you Leviiii <333), and I've made so many memories and friends here. There has been its fair share of drama and what but this was one place I could come to at the end of the day and check up on my friends. sad I'll miss rping with everyone and I'll try to follow the forum but I rarely venture outside of guilds on gaia. We can keep in touch on FB or G+ though... and tumblr and dA...... XD I'll post all teh linkehs. tis a sad day indeed....7 years and what not...wow man....but the idea of a forum to catch up with peeps is nice cause I've met and like allot of people here so I agree to that...as for it dying like you said...we just got older and just kinda lost intrest in some of the things here on Gaia...sad to see the guild go...but it was fun while it lasted

Gosh, I'm hardly on here anymore, but it's sad to see this place go. :C I always knew it was there and I could go back to it anytime. Time sure has gone by... I can't believe I was 12 when I first started posting here, and now I'm in college and turning 19 this weekend... I'm not sure if I'll keep up with the forums, Gaia is a completely different place to me and I feel like a noob all over again xD but, feel free to add me on FB/ DevArt/ stalk my blog! It's times like these when old friends I haven't talked to in a while or guilds I used to frequent shut down that make me re-evaluate why I even still come to this website. I mean, I log in often enough that I should have been able to drop in every now and then and say hi, not just here but to all my old friends and yet I haven't. I really don't know why I do keep coming back to this website, except to keep feeding this ridiculous addiction to collecting items. Gaia comes out with so many of them now, it's not like I'll ever keep up with them so why do I do it? APG was one of the last vestiges of a time when I used to come to gaia to chat with people and make friends that was still around and now it's shutting down. I should really take this as my sign to finally quit Gaia so it will stop taking up so much of my time. But I've given this website so many, many hours of my life over the past 7 years, the prospect of doing that is scary. I'll definitely try to come and check out the chat thread, but If the only reason why I still come to Gaia at the end of the year is for item collecting (like I've been doing) then I really am going to quit. emo

It's like the end of an era! I actually feel a bit like crying. I remember when I was on Gaia constantly, and at least 90% of that was here. These days I mostly get on Gaia just to get my Daily Chance things, or to see if there's an event. I must confess checking APG has slipped my mind more than a few times. But I guess we really have all... Forgive me for saying this dirty word, but it seems we've 'grown up' to an extent.

I know I've always been too quiet, but I really enjoyed being the guilds unofficial pyro.

Oh wow, I can't believe I've been here for 7 years...I went from posting a bunch, to lurking, and eventually just checking in once in awhile. I've really had fun coming here everyday and knowing I could talk to you guys about anything. It's sad to see this place go, but I understand completely why it's happening. I can't believe how time flies =__= I was 13 when I came here and now I'm 20...orz *old*
