Claudine stepped lightly through a feild of flowers not far from her grandmother's herd. Her steps were slow and cautious do to a gash that was on her right side of her hip. Her hide was beginning to heal from the wound, although it was likely that it would leave a scar as a reminder of where she had come from and how much she was changing her life. It was a small price she paid compared to the unfortunate soquili that met their ultimate end because of her idiotcy. Oh how she cursed the day she met that skinwalker Barracus who led her to believe that hurting others was okay. Claudine knew though that it wasn't completely his fault, for she had the choice many times to turn away from that lifestyle, but she never did.
"I regret it every day." She said to herself quietly. Claudine lightly shook her head. She needed to find something to distract herself from her own pain and sorrow, even if it was just temporary. Her family had been her worst enemy up until recently. Now she found herself not only needing them but slowly growing to love them. At least in the best way she could. Even though Claudine had changed so much since returning home, she still found herself unable to connect with others. It wasn't that she didn't want to, she just didn't know how or even where to start. A sigh escaped her mouth for a moment. "I need..... I need...." She said to herself, straining to utter the words that she had once vowed to never say. "I need a friend."
