The entire system holds no life at all. It was only created not too long ago.

On the other side, Thor leaped away from Cosmos, taking a moment to breath. They stood on a barren world, a world that seemed to have no life what so ever. In fact the entire system they were currently in held no life, it was a relatively new system that wasn't created too long ago. "Here I can show you my true power!", Thor spoke as if it wasn't him who said them. His hammer spark with the power of lightning as Thor feed it with the Odinforce. With one great hurl, he tossed the hammer directly towards Cosmos. Before suddenly a portal appeared in front of the hammer, teleporting it away. Directly in front of Cosmos another portal appeared, as Mjolnir flew directly towards Cosmos' stomach.

Captain Cosmos, far from being intimidated, said not a word. As Mjolnir approached his stomach, the hammer seemed to hit an invisible barrier of sorts ad Cosmos raised his hand to stop it... and then he gripped the hammer itself.
"A fine weapon you have, Asgardian," Cosmos said, holding the hammer up with one hand and looking at it's inscription. "However, this weapon is of no use to me; I have all the power I could ever need... for I am power."
With that, he let go of Mjolnir and sent it flying lazily back to Thor.

Thor watched as this being dare touched his hammer. Only those who have proven themselves worthy may touch Mjolnir. This was just gutting worse and worse Thor thought, as he grabbed his returning hammer. He had no more need for his hammer right now, he thought as he placed it back on his belt out of the way. Besides he didn't need it to be destroyed again.
Thor smiled as he flew up into air a bit and glared down at Cosmos. Whoever this being thought he was, was about to get a rude awakening. Thor concentrated as he called upon his energy. This godly being started to glow a solid gold as he summoned up his godly powers. Using the Odinforce to in fact double his powers, Thor's body actually began to smoke from the sheer power he was storing. He gathered as much power and strength as he could before it threatened to rip him apart. He then screamed in pain as he unleashed his strongest God Blast, the blast ripped threw space as it destroyed the entire system, reducing it to rubble

As the entire system was destroyed, the system's own sun went supernova, sending out a blast of solar energy wiping out literally everything in the entire system at an incredibly rapid pace-- far faster than nature allowed. Within mere minutes, there was nothing left except Thor...
... And a glowing white oval of pure energy. Captain Cosmos had stayed stationary the entire time, and as he re-solidified, he looked up at the Asgardian.
"You seek to use such power to destroy me. Why? Have I offended you? I apologize, I am merely testing you, Asgardian... and so far you have shown an inability to control yourself." the being said. "Are you surprised to see me alive? Then I shall explain myself: I am Captain Cosmos, the one living embodiment of the Power Cosmic itself. I do not wield this power, Asgardian. I am the Power Cosmic."

Thor looked to the Captain in pure shock, this wasn't right. How was the being able to withstand his God blast. No being was capable of withstanding such a blast, not even Galactus himself could remain standing after such a blast.
Thor exhaled as he floated down to a small asteroid, landing on his knee, bowing his head in shame. How could he simply attack a being without a reason, claiming one is evil without no real proof. Thor didn't like this being at all, he seemed very confident in himself and Thor didn't like that. "How dare thy test me? Who are thee that tests the abilities of Thor?", Thor spoke with a bit of anger in his voice.

Captain Cosmos folded his arms, floating down to Thor's position. "I have already told you, I am Captain Cosmos. I was created when the multiverses merged... and as I am sure you already know, darkness is gathering. Normally I would consider you using your power on me to be nothing more than a waste; however, if you are going to combat the evil that threatens to destroy Life itself, then you must learn control... which is why I am testing you. Please, do not be offended." he said, not showing any real emotion when he spoke, as usual.

Thor's eyes narrowed onto Cosmos as he spoke, "Do not be offended?! You tricked me, tested my abilities, and dare to touch my hammer! Do not be offended, how am I NOT suppose to be offended!?"
Thor snarled as he looked this mortal up and down. If he truly was the Power Cosmic then would there be any true way to defeat such a man. One being should not have such a power.

He glared at Captain Cosmos, his eyes filled with a burning hatred for this being. 'How dare this being speak to me that way. Speaking like I am a child that can not control my own power.', Thor thought.
He pulled his hammer from his side and lifted it to the sky, his hammer glowing pure white. The light shot from the hammer and consumed the entire system. The light dimmed as the all of the planets were restored back to the way they were before hand. Thor smiled as he looked at his hammer and thought, 'So this is the true power of the Odinforce.'
He looked back to the Captain with disgust, "I do not appreciate being tricked and I certainly don't appreciate being treated like an infant. I know how to control this power I wield. I do not like you being and I do not wish to see thee again"

Captain Cosmos was unfazed. "You do not have to like me, but you shall see me again, I am sure, for I am attempting to gather allies for you. And no, judging by your shocked reaction to your own power, I would say that you do not know how to wield such power. I know that Odin bestowed the power of the Odinforce upon you, and this is your first time using it. No, you do not know how to control it. Claiming such is only lying to me, and to yourself as well." he said, his voice still unnervingly even.
"As for treating you like an infant, that is not my intention. Let go of your anger towards me and consider my words with a clear mind."

Thor smiled to Cosmos, as he spoke, "I don't know how to use this power. That is why I was able to recreate this system that I destroyed? I know what I am capable of. I do not need you or your advice. Now I shall repeat myself, leave me be. I do not wish to see you again after this."
Thor lifted his hammer as electricity surrounded it. He pointed it away as the electricity shot off and created a portal. Thor looked over his shoulder at Cosmos before turning away. He walked quickly, entering the portal and leaving Cosmos by himself.

Captain Cosmos' eyes dimmed slightly. Such hostility... the being thought, before teleporting back to Hell.
