((This is a backdated RP of how Genevieve and Alex met.))
Days off were both her most hated and most loved days of the week. In her past they had meant free time and, more importantly, free time to stare longingly at the windows of the higher end department stores in downtown Destiny City. While Genevieve certainly had more money now then she had even a month ago, that little reminder that money was always a commodity still had her finger browsing the clothing and shoe displays without really wanting to commit to any purchases.
But oh; how she wanted to commit to the pair of Jimmy Choos staring her in the face.
In a constant battle of wills within her own mind the teen would gingerly pick one of those coveted heels up, stare at them like a fat kid stares at the last piece of cake, set them down and start to walk away, and then turn back and start the process all over.
"This is dumb."

"I'd have said that, but you beat me to it. How nice of you." Condescending, sarcastic, and all around insulting. Alexandre stood not far behind the girl. Blond hair tied back, a few scattered strands of hair framing his face, and slate colored eyes staring at the female. One booted foot to the side and the other right down under him, his weight was on his right side. He stood staring at her cooly. She was in his way, he was looking at the shoes thinking of getting a pair for his mother.
"You do realize such behavior is juvenile and common." He stated, the sneer not only visible but right there in is words. Dressed in jeans and a short sleeve button up the blond was short, slender, but presented quite the picture. It seemed that despite his height he could look down his nose at anyone.
"Though I'm sure such behavior is fitting for you." He stated, in his own way calling her common.

That feeling you get when you know someone is starting at you and you just know that they think they're better than you? Genevieve was more than used to it. Setting the shoe back down on display, the blonde turned on a heel and was shocked to find that he was her height. Eyes narrowing and an icy smile forming on her lips she sneered right back at him.
Tapping one foot impatiently she had every mind to turn in the middle of the store and let Chromite do all the talking in the form of draining this smart a** in one fell swoop. Keeping herself and temper in check however she simply placed both hands behind her back and took the few steps needed to get to a sales representative. Her sundress flounced as she moved and her loose blonde and pink hair copied the movement.
"Excuse me sir," she knew the posh dunderhead behind her could hear every word from her lips. "Those Jimmy Choos, the light up ones? I'd like to buy every pair you have in stock please."
This was going to set her back, and she had no idea what she was going to do with every pair in every size they had; but she was nothing if not hot-headed and impulsive.

Hearing the blonds words he smirked and even laughed, how could he not. "Every pair, planning on selling them to idiots on the side walk or perhaps on eBay? Their is no way you'll fit every pair." He stated, smirk now filled with humor. She was out to spite him, somehow. He was sure of this.
"I doubt you can even afford every pair, in every size. How utterly childish and ridiculous your being." Not to mention stupid, but that was beside the point and he figured he'd covered the idiocy with his other remarks. Did she even have a clue how much they cost, per pair, not to mention could she even guess how many pairs they had in the back room? She was gambling really, and that was not smart.
"I do hope, for your sake, that you have more money then it appears." Looking her up and down for a moment before flicking his eyes away from her.

Oh, she was definitely out to spite him. Fortunately for her, though, she knew exactly how much this was going to cost her and how she did happen to have enough money... kind of. Damnit all though, she was going to make this pompous asshat eat his words.
Turning on him she pouted a little and smoothed out her dress. "I will have Your Majesty know that I made this myself." Placing a hand on her hip she sauntered over to him and used her free hand to poke him squarely in the chest. "Unlike some people, I don't squander what I have just to look better than everyone else. That's the mark of insecurity." Looking him up and down she shrugged to show him just how unimpressive she found him. "Unless, of course, I need to make a point to Royal Jackholes that like to assume the worst of random strangers."

"No, of course not. You squander it, as you said, to stick someones nose in it. How...unimpressive and unflattering." He replied, staring down at the finger at his chest. Alright, so maybe they were both acting immature but he wasn't the one buying a store out of stock on a particular shoe. That was really immature, and stupid.
"As for spending money to look good, I'd rather that than looking like I rolled out of a rubbish bin, unlike some people I've seen." Of course he didn't mean her, and he made sure that should be known by how he spoke. He wasn't hinting toward her or looking at her in any particular way. "Not for your sake, but for my mother, I'll be buying one of those pairs of shoes off you. Seeing as I can't bring her here later on or tomorrow, to do so herself."

It didn't occur to her just then, and it wouldn't for several more seconds, but deep down she was of the same thought he was. Genevieve really was dumb and immature but at the same time-- Wasn't that to be expected of a sixteen year old girl? Clamping her mouth shut to not impulsively and angrily cut his speech off, she laughed as he made the point about those that simply dressed like they didn't care at all about their appearances. "I know right? You'd think more people would have pride in their loo-"
Then the magnitude of what she'd just done and that she was being ridiculously stupid dawned on her. "Oh lord, you're right. I'm an idiot." Finding a place to sit down she tucked her legs against each other and under the padded bench. "No, seeing as I'm about to go completely broke just to spite you I should at least just give you the shoes." Though, it seemed to her that he wasn't about to be the type to just accept hand-outs of any kind.

"No need to finish that word, it just proves that squandering to look good is a good thing, and in fact isn't squandering. It's well spent, unless we should have more rolled out of the rubbish bin people walking about." Not a pleasing idea to say the least, he did not fancy the idea of seeing normal people pulling off the pauper look better than an actual pauper.
"You can always take it back, tell them you've made some error." He stated calmly, or he could do it for her. She really had been an impulsive idiot. "If not, and you do buy them all, I'd suggest eBay. You'll make some of the money back, though I'll likely be the only person paying full price." No, there was no room for question or persuading him out of it. He would not be taking them off her hands for free. "Make a separate eBay auction for each pair." It was not a site he used but he knew how it worked, he'd visited on occasion to get a laugh at the insane prices over things. Some things people sold were obviously knock offs and people were still paying a lot for the item, too much in his opinion.

Smirking a little, she at least appreciated that he believed she looked good. At least enough to not be considered a trash bin shopper. Flipping her hair over her shoulder she set her mouth into a thin line and squared her shoulders. This was going to be humiliating but it was neccessary. Marching her way over to the very sales clerk that she'd ordered all of the shoes from, her eyes were caught (like a ferret with a christmas display) by another pair of shoes. Blinking herself out of it, she looked at the poor man she knew was going to hate her after all of this and smiled her brightest smile. "Yes, hi. Please just bring me out one pair of those Jimmy Choos and a pair of those pink and black Betsey Johnson lace-up heels as well. Both in size 7, please."
Turning she grinned at the boy she'd only just been about to punch in the face. Making her way back to him, she sat herself back down and offered him a hand. "My name is Genevieve Ame, and the least you can do to let me thank you for helping me through such impossible stupidity is to let me treat you to lunch or coffee."

Watching, smirking slightly, he watched the sales clerk's anger slowly showing his eyes and the flushing of his cheeks. The man knew better than to shout or gain a temper with a customer. Such a good little man, he was able to do his job properly and not blow up; though he did look fairly close to doing so. The man looked murderous as he went into the back room to get the asked for shoes and rescind the order for all those Jimmy Choos. Oh how he must hate the female right now. Alexandre was certain he would strangle her if it wouldn't cost him his job, and possible land him in lock up somewhere for assaulting what he was sure was a minor.
Watching the female return he nodded, taking the proffered hand. "Alexandre Evans." He was about to decline, citing a need to be elsewhere, but the offer of coffee grabbed his attention. "Espresso?" Coffee wasn't his thing, and he could cover his own lunch. "I'll cover my own lunch, just pick a place." And now to move from her in order to bother the man whom Genevieve had ruined the day of. "Those Jimmy Choos she just decided she didn't want to buy you out of. I'd like a pair of them in an seven and a half." Oh how that man looked like he was either going to rip his own hair out, strangle him, or in some way go completely off his rocker. It was rather amusing actually, given that it wasn't even all that hard to achieve this.
With the man not speaking, not doing anything aside an interesting eye twitch, he shifted hie weight to one side and tapped his foot. Staring the man down. "If you don't mind scurrying back into the stock room." A shooing motion accompanied his words. Really he should learn some tact. He knew how to politely speak to people and did so when he had to. He simply didn't feel the need to right now. "We have lunch to get to." Motioning to Genevieve, that had to piss him off even more.

Genevieve tried really hard to put herself in the places of the retailers she was dealing with, and in turn felt really bad whenever she made life hell for one through her own actions, but watching the veins on the salesman's neck pop she couldn't help but feeling a little feral. Predatory. He was only human afterall and she was so tired of anything so weak thinking they were the top of the food chain. Sure, she was human too, but she was a better type of human. Stifling laughter as she watched Alexandre make the man's eyes go a little bug-eyed, she waggled her fingers at him as it was pointed out they wanted to lunch soon.
They'd gotten off to a rough start, but she was liking this boy more and more.
Waving her hand, she pouted at him slightly. "Fine," she said. "I'll let you pay for your own lunch if you'll let me show you to the best cupcake place in town afterwards." He'd made the mistake of agreeing to go somewhere with her, and in true Genevieve style, she was going to monopolize his time for the rest of the day. No matter what he had to say about it.

"Who am I to complain, when I get to pay for the main part of the meal. Perhaps they'll even have something I'll like." He wasn't one for cup cakes and deserts, not for the most part, but who knows maybe he'd find something he'd like.
The sales men surely wanted him dead, he had little doubt of that. But honestly he couldn't find it in him to care. He didn't think he was a better type of human, just better. It was all rather simple, at least for Alexandre anyway. "Have you a place in mind for lunch, or shall I decide upon something. I know a place, very nice, I can call ahead and arrange a table." He wasn't as rich as one of his friends, Lily, but he did come from some money and his mother had taken him to a really nice little side walk cafe on a tiny little back street. The food had been amazingly light, refreshing and the flavors were something to praise.
Since discovering the place earlier this summer, after his mother had discovered it with a few girlfriends of hers, he'd been there four times. He was figuring it was a nice place to go and relax, the side walk was large enough for tables and chairs, two rows out from the cafe, and left room to walk even. It was all very nice. The staff was also nice, knew the menu well.

"Is it a nice walk to the place you have in mind?" Now that it was dawning on her that she'd spent almost all day inside in some compacity or another, she wanted to feel the sunshine on her skin. What little there was left before fall hit. Worried just a little about what this would do to her banking account, she shrugged. "Go ahead and phone if that's where you'd like to go. It'll be worth it just to talk more fashion and eat something truly good." She had faith that when he said he knew of a nice place, it was a nice place.
Looking up as men from the back came out with both of their orders of shoes, she handed her credit card to the one with her two pairs and an impatient smile. As if to say 'do not take long bringing this back to me'.

"It is, though a drive will be necessary. I can handle that." Since he had a car and was unsure if she did. He wasn't worried about fall coming, fall was truly a nice time of year. As much as he liked his plants he disliked the seasons they liked the most. It honestly couldn't be helped, he burned in the sun and the heat bothered him. "And, just so you know, lunch is on me. Just cover an espresso for me and the rest is on me....a way to properly strike up a friendship." Over fashion and good food, yes a friendship could be struck up.
The number to the cafe was one of the many stored on his phone, a lot of them were places for food. One never knew when you were out and got a call to order food because your mother would be home from the office late. It did happen, or his mother was simply locked up in her home office working. Watching, from the corner of his eyes, as the men approached he held up a single finger. Silencing them as the ringing became a voice and he was greeting them and arranging an outside table for two. Giving a time, forty five minutes from now. Giving his goodbye he hung up and pocketing his phone offered over his own debit card in the same manner his newly made friend did.
"Espresso can be gotten along the way."

She instantly imagined this boy standing outside and signalling with a finger before seconds later a limo showed up to whisk them away. The thought left a faint smile of dreaminess on her face before she shook it away. She was not the commoner turned princess and this boy was not Prince Charming; but, still. It was a nice dream. Holding on to her bags tightly, she also caught one of the men working from the corner of her eye and seconds after Alex handed over his card she was getting her's returned to her. Silently slipping it into her wallet, and then her wallet into her purse, she nodded at the boy.
"I'm not used to others paying for my food, but I am far from the type to stop someone from pampering me." Even if it was food. Well, especially if it was food. Her nighttime activities always worked off the calories of the day and she was grateful that she was actually getting smaller than she used to be, but that didn't change that the girl loved good food.
"Where would you like to get coffee then? There's that place that also has the cinnamon buns," she grimaced a little as she said that, "but there's also a cupcakery and cafe nearby that has some of the best espresso in the city. Sweet Reprieve, it's called." She didn't want to tell him right away, but she was being a little sly- It was also her place of employment and that meant an employee discount and free treats.
