Once again she was back in the reaper dorms. Seems like they went on forever. Seriously, it was just endless dorms and dorms. Never not dorms. Danny smacked her head against the wall. This was going to be impossible! There were so many dorms!
It was only then that Danny noticed she had smacked her head on a nameplate. A nameplate that read Nyyrikki in that nice, Halloween script. Danny smacked her head on the plate once more for good measure. She was right there!
Danny had actually come to the dorm earlier too. Riri hadn't been in at the time so she just left him a message promising to go back later. She had just gotten lost on the way back the second time, which is why it had taken her so long...
She had come here with a purpose though! Daintily she reached out and knocked on the door. Well no, she pounded on the door. "RIRIIIIIII. ARE YOU HEEEEEEEEERE?" She was probably going to wake up the all of Amityville with how loud she was being.

Nyyrikki had gotten the note upon returnimg from a run around campus, read it in a bit of confusion, and tossed it on his desk. He at least knew she'd be back, but there was absolutely no preparation for a very loud demon knuckling his door like it had stolen her money. How do you prepare for that?
He jumped, startled by the sudden noise in the otherwise quiet dormitory. Resin glared at the door and Rigormortis clung to the bed like he was being abducted. It was like they were under siege. Which... they kind of were. He dashed to the door and opened it, leaning to the side a little to hopefully avoid flailing fists. "Danny, you're going to have the entire jacking reaper dorm's wrath down on me... Why do you have my name imprinted on your forehead?"

Danny immediately lifted her fist from the space where the door would be when Nyyrikki answered it. Her arms immediately went into one of those greeting hugs around his shoulders. "Riri!" she exclaimed as she pseudo-pounced him. If he was angry, she certainly couldn't tell.
She then attempted to look up at her forehead thanks to Nyyrikki's prompt. "Is it? Well it's probably cause I was banging my head on your name plate. Wait I didn't write it on there did I?" She looked a little worried, but shook her head. "Wait no, I didn't do that. I think we're okay." She nodded her obvious satisfaction.
The fire demonness shook her head a little. Why had she come here again? It wasn't just to see him ... Had she been on her way to Roch's? No that wasn't it. She still didn't know where his dorm was anyways.
Oh! That was it! "So Riri, we're supposed to perform and stuff. I got Moure working on a venue, but we gotta talk about songs!" She was very excited for this. She loved playing in front of people. The ghoul wasn't particularly good at it, but she just loved showing off! It made her feel ... somewhat important?

"Agh!" Rikki caught her in her greeting-hug-pounce-thing and laughed. It was hard not to like Danny. Her excitement and happiness seemed to be sort of infectious.
As she tried to look at her forehead he rubbed the mark to help it go away and shook his head. It was amazing she managed to survive on a day to day basis. Especially when she couldn't even remember why she'd ended up standing in front of his door with his name on her forehead.
"Moure's working on a venue? That's good." He stepped aside to let her into his room, a little wary of what might happen. He'd yet to fire-proof his room. He'd never really considered that he would have to. He'd really have to reconsider at some point in the future. If his room made it through this.
"I take it you have songs in mind?"

Danny was happy that her hug was greeted with laughter- she was finding that a lot of people didn't really appreciate her enthusiasm. She was working on it, she really was. The work was just ... very slow. Practically halted.
When Rikki offered his room to Danny, she bounced into it like a kangaroo on crack. She was loving someone who actually invited her to things. It was a nice change from Roch who always wanted her elsewhere.
Danny looked around for a non-flammable place to sit, and couldn't find any. She looked around worriedly and then put her hands together and just stood there. Well it's not like she would've gotten up in about three seconds after sitting anyways.
Songs? Oh yes, Danny had those! She pulled a crumpled piece of black paper out of her pocket. Danny had even taken the precaution to write it down, because she knew she wouldn't remember the list. Okay, maybe G had urged her to write it down, but she still did it! Happily she said, "Yup! Okay so ... so uhm ..."
Danny unfolded the paper and said, "I was thinking Rolling in the Deep by Ahell, cause that's really popular right now. I ... I like uhm ... Uhm ... I'm Yours by Jason Voorhees, but I don't really know what you could do during that time. I thought you might like Contagious by Saving Cain?" She read each one down the list with her finger, scanning the paper as she spoke.
Swinging to a fro, she put the paper on her tail and let it burn up. She didn't like holding onto things she didn't need or want. Once the ashes were floating in the air, she said, "Uhmmm ... yup! That's all I got." She stood there with a giddy smile on her face. He would like the songs, right?

Nyyrikki thumped his door closed and turned to see Danny just kind of.. standing there. Oh. Where could she sit? He bit his lip a little a looked around, and finally his eyes landed on his drum set. His stool! That had no back; her tail could roam free. He ambled over and lifted it out, placing it far away from his precious instrument for her. He'd make her comfortable because that was the right thing to do for a friend, but he wouldn't put his drums in jeopardy.
The bed sank as he plopped down on it and crossed his legs, and he hummed in thought over her choices. They were all songs that he enjoyed, and he was familiar with the drum lines in them, even if he wasn't practiced in them. Hey.. "Wait... Contagious?" That was a pretty strong male vocal, and she'd suggested it for him? "You want me to sing?" He flailed inwardly. He could do it, but he wouldn't be pleased.
When the paper went up in flames he waved his hands in the air to move the smoke and the ashes away from him. Apparently, notes could only last long enough to serve their purpose.

Danny sighed a tiny bit in relief when Riri dragged out the stool. She wouldnt've minded standing, but sitting was pretty nice too. She hopped onto the stool, grateful that her tail could swing free. Finally it seemed like someone got it. "Thanks," she said quickly. Nothing else really needed to be said.
Settling back into a relaxed position, she continued her line of thought. "Yeah, I guess ... I assumed you would sing? If you don't wanna I can sing it," she offered. She wasn't the best singer, but she wasn't the worst. She could sing on key, just not well. Average.
Another thought occured to her though. "I only picked out three songs. Roch said we needed five, didn't he?" she said, tapping her chin. What other songs would they sing? She couldn't come up with everything though. This was a partnership after all! "Oh, but you should come up with the songs." She wiggled in her seat and then said, "Any ideas of your own?"
Come to think of it, she hadn't even thought of where she was going to get an acoustic guitar for some of these songs. She could always ask her parents, but 1) she wanted to depend on herself a little bit for once and 2) she didn't think a mail order guitar would arrive in time. No, she would have to go ask for some favors for this one.

He rubbed his forehead and shrugged. " I can sing. Good enough, anyways." He probably wouldn't be able to make the song sound as good as Saving Cain did, but he could give it a shot. Even if he wasn't pleased with it.
"Did he? I was kind of.. really tired," he chuckled. He'd fallen asleep in that beanbag chair a couple times. "But, I guess if I've got to sing, I could to Ocean Avenue by Yellingcard, too. That one's pretty easy." They needed just one more song, and he was pretty dead set on making Danny sing three songs and not him. What song had a good beat he'd enjoy playing to?
"We need one more..."

Danny laughed and leaned forward on her stool, then tilted back. She was slowly lifting up the stool legs, seeing how far she could tilt before she fell over altogether it seemed.
She did nod her approval at his song choice though. "Ooh! Good song choice. That one will be fun to play." She leaned back on the chair, getting both of the front feet in the air, then thumped back onto the ground. This really was getting dangerous.
One more eh?
Danny tugged on her hair. What were some songs that were fun. "We could just improv for a while? I don't mind playing without a song?" That seemed kind of lame though. People usually enjoyed covers more than original songs anyways. Still, if Riri didn't want to sing, Danny wasn't going to force him.

He made a face and shook his head. "Nah, I don't think we should improv." It wasn't that he wouldn't have enjoyed it, but they hadn't jammed or anything together before, so they didn't really know eachother's styles well enough. Sometime in the future they'd have to try it, though.
"Oh!" Excitement! "Danny!" He lept up and pumped his fist once, he was so proud of himself. "Danny, you could sing Dog Days Are Over by Floresce + The Machine!" That song had such a good beat, and it would be a lot of fun. Plus, a lot of others knew the song, which hopefully meant people would enjoy it even more. "If we do Dog Days, that makes five, and we just have to figure out what order we'll do them in." He wiggled his black fingers in the air and grinned.

Danny's excitement matched Riri's as he exploded with an idea. "Yes! That would be so fun! I know most of that song too ... at least the words I mean, does it even have a guitar? Oh well! I like it!"
Instinctively, Danny reached out and grabbed Nyyrikki's fingers straight out of the air. They were so long and funny looking! How did that even work ... Danny played with them absentmindedly, one by one as if she was saying the old "this piggy went to the ..." rhyme.
"Well ... Here, uhm ..." Danny pulled five random objects out of his room: A notebook, a snake pen, a hair tie (from her pocket), one of Rikki's emblems and a shiny watch (also in Danny's pocket). She layed them all out in front of Rikki in a haphazard pile and said, "Okay, put them in order. Each one is a song, and we'll put them in order randomly!"
Danny honestly didn't have any game plan or ideas better than that. She was just going to pick randomly. That's how little thought she put into it.

"Uh." Hmm.. did it have guitar? He wasn't even sure. "We'll look it up on the interweb." He shrugged. If it did have guitar, he couldn't imagine it would be very difficult to learn. Not that he knew much about learning guitar. He'd never tried.
The items were all quite random and didn't seem to have much of a connection to any of the songs. "Well, which one is which song?" It seemed like a good enough way of ordering them to him. Not like he'd had any genius idea or anything to solve the problem.

"Interweb!" Danny cheered. She didn't really know how to search things well, and by the time she had actually dedicated to searching, she would find herself completely lost in funny black cat gifs. Technology and Danny mixing was just asking for trouble, really.
Either way, she was on to the next subject. Danny stared at her little band of objects. She couldn't just tell him which song was which, could she? After all, if she did that, he would figure out her clever (not so clever) scheme! "I can't just tell you! Just pick one."
She nudged him further to get him to pick. C'mon, it wasn't that hard! She would've given him an example, except she knew what all of the objects represented. It would be silly of her to pick!
