Every series has its own pros and cons to potential growth. A general rule of thumb is a series with less stages cost less to grow while a series with a lot of stages are more expensive.

On Growth and Power
Unless a tournament or area states otherwise all monsters are the same strength compared to each other. There is a magic to the world that causes this to occur. It is not fair to the monsters from the series that don't have many evolutions or none at all when competing against the monsters from the series that have lots of stages.

The only exception to this rule is Ranks earned from tournaments.

EXP rundown

It takes EXP to grow. We do our best to give opportunities to win EXP in thread constantly. It is also possible to gain EXP from tournaments and RPing.

Growth guide
Ok lets go over the stages and costs in detail. Here is a chart of where pokemon and digimon ranks are.

Growing from one age rank to another is a set price in EXP. If the growth could have a variety of results the base price is for the growth being randomly decided with dice. The act of choosing a specific growth you want is called cherry picking. As a general rule of thumb the cost of randomly growing is cheap and choosing a cherry picking is more expensive. To be specific cherry picking costs 3 times the base price. It is also possible to buy items with gold to be able to cherry pick at the normal base rate. There is also a cheaper item that will allow you to re-roll a randomized roll if used within 24 hours of the results. Once a growth is official you can not take the results back.

Beyond Growth
There is more to life then just reaching the next stage.

Breeding
Monsters will have a minimum of 3 eggs from any breeding. There are many variables that can increase this amount. The owners of the parents can each keep 1 but must give the remaining babies away in some free manner. This can range from gifts to friends or free games/contests. Please note that contests must be in some manner shop related.

Breeding types and prices
XXXXXBetween monsters of the same "group": 20 EXP
XXXXXBetween monsters of the same series: 40 EXP
XXXXXNo limitations: 60 EXP

Breeding gold prices
XXXXXBetween monsters of the same series: 50k
XXXXXNo limitations: 100k

Merging will be covered later.
