It was 2 AM Halloween Time, and there was a lone fire demoness on the roof.
Danny came up to the roofs sometimes, for reasons she wasn't really aware of. Maybe it was the openness of it all. Perhaps the danger? Maybe it was the feeling of being above everything, and not feeling so small because the the only thing above you was the sky. Maybe she just jackin' liked the roofs.
Either way, she was up there, doing her Danny thing. It was late, but Danny couldn't sleep- too much on the brain. This was actually a rare occurrence for the poor ghoul. Most of the time there was too little on the brain.
Yes, Danny had opened up her window and crawled up the lattice work, basically parkouring it to the roof. It wasn't exactly easy, but years of climbing out of sticky situations made it ... bearable. Now she was just sitting in the middle of the roof with her legs stretched out wide, staring up at the clouded sky over Halloween. Did the sky always look like this? Fire had always obscured it back home.
Danny looked over to the school grounds. Being so late at night, no one was stirring, save for a few nocturnal beasts and a couple of gnomes that were on the night shift. Even Hellma's lights seemed to be off. Then again, were they ever on? Come to think of it, Danny still hadn't even seen Hellma. Only whispered rumors of a scary a** lady that could kill you just by looking at you. Danny shuddered- not a pretty thought.

At this dreary morning hour wanders staring at the schools high towers a lonesome Drop Bear, unable to find sleep no more. The starry night above her lighted a winding path towards the demons dorms, where she thought to find her sloth friend and ask of him help to lay down her head.
When all else where at rest she often felt this queer mood decent, the course of being nocturnal, against the trend.
It also tended to make her start thinking way too poetically for her liking.
Snorting to herself about how silly she was being she happened to look up and spot upon the roof of the building she was approaching a flickering light. Curious she decided to forgo her trip, having no real want to disturb Barth, and quickly found herself scaling the heights of the Demon Dorm, enjoying the challenge of climbing an unfamiliar structure.
When she spotted the source of the light for a second she contemplated turning away and leaving her fellow night owl to their solitude but hesitating decided that they might be feeling the loneliness of the night like her and approached.
Surely she could strike up some sort of conversation with a fellow climber, stargazer and night owl. Though the lights here where never as bright as home, Amity was too close to the city proper for perfect sky, still...
"Beautiful night isn't it?"

Danny would've been scared that someone was up there with her if it wasn't for the fact that this was the second time she'd met someone on the roof. Why were the roofs so popular anyways? Then again, Danny was a little bit of a hypocrite to ask that.
So the fire ghoul just turned to see a familiar face. "Ah! You ... you were at the floresctival ... with pretty hair ghoul!" She pointed as if her finger were further proving a point (it wasn't).
Danny glanced back out into the sky. "Not pretty," she said dreamily, "I don't think nights are pretty." She thought for another second. "But days aren't pretty either." Danny was tapping her chin. This really was a deep subject for her. She was taking Mandy's question as seriously as possible.
Finally though she set on an opinion, "I think night and day are pretty ugly." She nodded to further confirm the fact. On a completely different subject, Danny said, "Are your ... are your ears real?" Danny was sleepy, but she couldn't just ignore them. They were so ...
so ...
fluffy.
