History
Evan grew up in a small town with not a lot of noise or stress. Both his grandparents lived and grew up there, as did his parents. His mom and dad met after high school before they started going to community college. They dated for the duration and married right when they graduated. Carmen realized she was with child soon after their honeymoon. The two couldn't be more delighted and stared preparing for their baby's arrival.
Owen decided on his son's name when he was born. As long as the name wasn't something he'd get teased about. The first few years of Evan's life were spend spoiled and pampered by his parents. Mainly his dad. Owen would come home from work with a toy for his son saying "Nothing's too good for my boy!" He spent most of his time with his father, being tossed into the air, playing with him, or taking him on adventures. Owen was probably a big influence on his love of travel and his adventurous spirit.
When Evan was three, his father died in a car accident on his way to work. Carmen was devastated and couldn't handle Evan through that time and left him with her parents. She stayed at home to grieve, but after his funeral she disappeared. She gave no word to her parents or her husband's parents when she left. Evan spent three months with his grandparents. They were glad to have him, but worried for their daughter.
Carmen returned looking rugged and tattered to be greeted by Evan's smiling face. Her parents weren't too pleased and Owen's parents were downright enraged by her sudden disappearance. They harassed her once she moved back in to her home. The whole town practically turned against her. So after three years of this, she moved to King's city with Evan.
Evan grew into a fine young boy, not as spoiled as he had been before. Carmen moved to their new house more recently, allowing Evan to be able to attend Tidal Heights Academy for boys. They don't talk to Evan's grandparents much, but they do get the occasional letter in the mail.
