 Rozmackany pranced a bit in anticipation. It was getting so close to when they were to leave. Banu hunting! He could not believe how excited he was of the idea of leaving the pride. he had been terrified a few days ago, now he was rearing to go. He was not sure if he should be worried at his sudden changes in mood or just go with it either. He wondered if his brothers were as excited and scared/worried as he was.
Roz watched the sun drenched den that they called home and thought of how nice it would be to have a den of his own and banu of his own. Oh the pranks he could pull on them! Something told him he might not live very long if he got the wrong type of banu, but that was half the fun. While his thoughts were still on pranking banu he had yet to meet, he spotted one of his brothers. Thinking of pranks, this looked like a good opportunity for Roz to get a bit more practice in!
Athelas was not as much of a prankster as Roz, so this could get amusing. Roz crouched down to be sure he was not spotted by his littermate. With paws suddenly as quiet as the gentle breeze, he crept forward and without even the slightest warning, leaped at his brother. He landed with a loud thump behind his brother and over his brother's tail, but not on it. One paw went gently over the tail after his thump of a landing was complete to hold the other lion in place.

 Athelas had been even quieter than usual of late. They had received 'the talk' from their parents about their duty to go out into the roguelands and capture themselves a banu. It was not really the going out part that worried him, it was the part about persuading a lioness to join as his banu... some of the other pride members had told him horror stories about the females out in the rogue lands, how they were independent and very happy to use claws and teeth in their defense. He had little confidence in his ability to talk anyone into following him... after all, why would they follow a slightly skinny adolescent when there were hundreds of big, powerful adults out there for them to pick from. Ok, well, maybe not hundreds.... but a lot anyway.
His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the faint scent of his brother, giving him enough warning of what was about to happen as the heavy weight of his almost-twin landed just behind him and a paw touched his rump. Managing to refrain from leaping into the air, though his heart did speed up somewhat, he craned his head back to peer at Roz expectantly. he knew better, after living with his trickster brother, that to react overly much to the other's pranks.
"Hey Rozi" He greeted, one brow lifting in question.

Roz was slightly disappointed, but at the same time very proud of his brother. It took a lot to keep from jumping at a surprise like that. The adol male reached a paw up and ruffled his brother's growing mane tuft. "GOOD MORNING ATHA!!!" The cheerfulness was almost overwhelming. He just felt that good today. Excitement abounded in him this day. Who knew if it would be there tomorrow, but still it was there today.
Roz gave his brother a grin and stepped back to give the other adol some room. "We are going to be leaving soon, can you believe it? I cannot wait to find a perfect banu to bring back! I bet I will take longer than the rest of you because of it, though." He grinned wider and bounced in place. He wanted to be off and done already, or at least off and started. There was much to be accomplished.
Roz really did worry about what would be out there, but the worry came and went with the excitement. A few days ago he had been subdued and depressed with worry. Much like his brother seemed now. Roz hoped his brother was not as worried as he had been. Atha could not possibly have anything to worry about. He was charming and quiet. Unlike Roz, who was rather loud at times and prone to setting up a good trick.

The ruffling of his mane did surprise Athelas and he blinked up at his brother in confusion but returned the smile, tail flicking as his brother got off it. Sitting up and turning so he was facing Roz at a more comfortable angle for prolonged conversation, rather than talking back over his shoulder at his brother, Athelas chuckled softly, amused by the other's excitement and cheerfulness. "Good morning." He returned, pleased that Roz had at least perked up after the last few days. "I see you are looking forward to going out." He agreed, amused as his sibling's antics and delaying his own reply for a moment. "Do you have anything specific in mind that you are looking for?" He surprised himself as he had not even considered 'looking for anything in particular, he was more concerned with finding someone who would agree to follow him at all....
Blinking he gave his brother a half smile, his nervousness showing briefly. "You won't take long at all, you are easy to approach and have plenty of confidence. I am sure the females will flock to you like a herd to a watering hole. I doubt there are many lions out there who are as active and as amusing as you, brother dear."

Roz sat back on his haunches and got comfortable for speaking with his brother. He could not say off paw when the last time was the two of them really sat down and talked. It had probably been some time, if they ever did it really. As cubs they were most likely too busy playing to really do much in depth conversing. Of course, Roz had never really grown out of playing, he just changed his tactics on it for the most part.
For the most part he liked to bother Banu Suri and his family with his pranks and playfulness, but now he had to think of finding a banu of his own that would appreciate such things. Those he knew well and that loved him had a problem with his pranks half the time, so how was he going to get a female that did not even know him to agree to be his banu? It was going to be a long search.
He considered his brother's question. What was he looking for in a banu? A good sense of humor was a must... he would like them to be pretty, but then most females he knew WERE pretty by default so that was not so hard to get. Maybe have them have some spirit to them. "Good sense of humor and a mind of their own for sure... I would like her to be pretty, but that last part is not hard to find from what I have seen, so it is definitely not going to be the high priority to search for... What do you want in a banu? I really do think you will have the easier time of it."
