Name: Breanna
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Craft /Rank: Beastcraft/Apprentice

History: Breanna is Keroon born and bred. Like those children who grow up at seaholds learn to swim before they can walk, Breanna was riding runner beasts and helping her parents tend to them well before she could understand just what she was doing.

It would come as no surprise then, that she also joined the Beastcrafting ranks as soon as she was able to learn the ins and outs of the craft. At first she was shuffled around a bit, while they sought to find the best group for her. Not that that upset her any, it was just how things go.

Finally, she ended up with "her group" and there she stayed for her time thereafter.

She learnt general care and maintenance of the various beasts at the hold, and they even touched on the dragons on occasion.

Since her parents lived at Keroon as well, she was not like alot of the other children and had people to lean on when things got hard. Admittedly, this helped her in the long run as while she had grown up tending to the animals, and as such found alot of the chores of an apprentice easy enough, there were times where she would struggle through the lessons as they tried to explain what was what.

By the time Breanna realised that she would never be able to fully grasp the healing part of beastcraft, and as such, despite her skills with breeding, probably wouldn't advance past Journeyman, if at all, and by the time that was discovered, it would be too late to apprentice to another craft. Besides, to do so would mean leaving her home and the comfort of the animals.

So she slogged it out as an apprentice, doing her best to try and grasp the healing part of beastcraft to no avail. As time went on, she started venturing away from the hold to assist with the various duties of the more senior beastcrafters in the hold. It was because of her apparent eagerness to travel with the herdbeastm runners and, quite frankly, any large group of animals that required a beastcrafter escort that she was selected to join a small group of Herders as they brought some of their best beasts to Malvren weyr to help in ensuring genetic diversity of the herds of preybeast that was a constant foodsource for the weyr's dragons.

It was a green dragon and her rider that joined the group of travellers, though alwasy at a distance so as not to frighten the beasts too much. They were an escort, Breanna was told, to make sure that the final leg of the journey posed no major issues.

Because of the distance however, and, the lack of sensitivity (compared to the usual blue searchdragons) It wasn't until they were resting for the journey home at the Weyr itself that a rider approached her.

He gave her a choice, to stay and attempt to impress a dragon on the sands, or return with the group that had brought her there.

Already aware that her dreams of becoming a Master Herder was slim, and always fascinated by the idea that there were some people out there, holderfolk like her, who had stood on the sands and ended up with a partner for life, she had agreed, apologising to the group that had brought her there and practically disappearing into the weyr there and then... had it not been required that she actually prepare a little better for life at the weyr first.

Thus, after an initial orientation, and a few days of settling in, Breanna was well and truly integrated into the world of Malvren Weyr.

Her joy was shortlived however, as two turns there produced nothing but dissapointment time and time again. She was seventeen turns by then and much too old to settle in with a group of apprentices at another crafthall and, rather then go home and face the knowedge that she had tried and failed at two things in her life, she stayed on as a candidate, hoping she wouldn't age out as she waited for the day that a dragonet would choose her as his or her own.

Description: A girl who always looks happy, Breanna walks with a bounce in her step. At 17 turns of age she has already done practically all of her growing and stands at a lovely 5'6. Work with beasts for most of her life has resulted with decent muscle tone and, a decent gene-pool left her with large hips, a long torso and slender hands. Her bust is average, and her hair, dead straight and a dark brown, reaches below her shoulderblades when not pulled up into a high ponytail. Like her hips, she has broad shoulders, her eyes are hazel, her skin coffee coloured, and, while she scrubs up nicely (as most girls , and guys for that matter, do), she prefers to waltz around in loose clothes (preferably pants and a shirt, for it is decidedly hard to mount a runner when you've got skirts on) and simple sandals.

Personality: Breanna is a wonderful person to be around. Seriously. She's one of those people that can talk about anything all of the time and yet can still sit down and listen to you when you're talking. She's helpful and bouncy and optimistic and energetic and not in your face (Aggressively anyway). A little naive maybe... But it really just adds to her charm.

While she's not one of those natural geniuses that crop up every so often, she can retain and remember a wagonload of information, combine that with her love of raiding old parchments and noting down every bit of information she finds interesting, she is quite bright.

Despite her appearance of being social, Breanna doesn't really like people. Or at least, doesn't like large groups of people. They make her uncomfortable. In small groups or one on one, it's all good. And, when she really knows you, she's more then happy to chat... But, if you really know her, then you'd be used to her occasional sullenness that results in her simply moving away. '

You see, if she was to spend too much time away from people, or, on the opposite end, too much time with people, she gets a little edgy. It can be a bit weird. On the one hand, she acts like she doesn't want anything to do with you. She becomes blunt, her answers to questions are short with little chance to grow into a conversation and her usual "gift of the gab" just seems to... Die... Her body language is closed off and she really doesn't want to invite company.

At the same time, she wants to be around someone, (and note that's someone and not someone's). It's not about conversation though, it's about company. Buut most people aren't aware of that. Even if you do manage to pick up that she just wants you in the same room as her, with no interaction, she won't seem welcoming, at times, just because she feels like wallowing in self pity, she will even try and drive you away with harsh comments - if she feels inclined to talk at that point- or just shifting awaay from you until you just give up.

The various beasts of Pern, however... She'd spend every waking hour with them if it were possible. The Runner's, the Herdbeast, the ovines and canines... Even the Crawlers and Tunnel snakes if they were so inclined to stay around. And of course the dragons and fire-lizards of Pern. They, above all others, fascinate and awe her to no end. Every holderfolk knew that the little fire-lizards that had become fairly abundant since first being re-discovered years ago were supposedly cousin's of the great beasts that were there to protect the holderfolk from Threadfall. It was because of this connection that she was so fascinated by them.

But enough about that. All in all Breanna is a optimistic, bubbly person who prefers the company of canines to humans and tends to trust a wee bit too easily. That's just the way she is, and, quite frankly, that's all that really needs to be known about her. Everything else you'll find out in the first five minutes of meeting her.

Other: Name is pronounced "Bree-ahn-ah"

^^ Hia! You've got a great start here, but there's a few things that need to be cleared up before I can approve her.

History: Riders from Malvren wouldn't go to Igen to take their candidates under any circumstances, once you're a candidate of a given Weyr that's where you stay. In order for her to be Searched to Malvren she'll need to be in their territory when a dragon spots her. Perhaps some fine stock was being taken to one of the major holds around Malvren and she was part of the group taking them there? Other than that detail her history is great :3

Description: I've looked up burgundy brown hair and got some nice dark browns that looks very natural, but also some that look purple. So long as her hair is supposed to be a natural shade it's all good but it threw me at first so I thought I'd bring it up (lulz, I was seeing wine coloured XD)

Personality: This is great, but could you expand a bit on her occasional moodiness, and maybe enhance it a little into a character flaw? It doesn't have to be wow massive in your face, just enough for it to be something people could dislike her for at times <3

Other than those points she looks fine to me! The details you've given of beastcraft, but they probably wouldn't have gone into detail about dragons. It might have been mentioned as a point of interest now and again but it certainly wouldn't be something studied in depth.
