
Often, Amberlee did things without thinking them through. She wasn't one to plan out every single one of her actions, or to plot a course before she set off on her wanderings. Part of the thrill of traveling was the discovery for the unknown, and she lived to find that unknown, despite the advice and warnings of anyone else. So when she found herself lost in the deep blackness of the night, she didn't feel an once of fear. It was just another adventure, as far as she was concerned.
She walked slowly, gingerly putting each hoof in front of the other, and occasionally slipping on the rocks. But she would laugh and catch herself, and keep going.
The mare paused for a break, letting the wind gently flow through her long, well-kept hair. Why were some Azrein so afraid of the dark? It seemed so peaceful. And they couldn't see the stars if they were sleeping. Maybe they just needed someone to show them how to have fun!
