Talk about the best of times and the worst of times. The Amachi family had a very rockie start, what with Melody disappearing on her first round of children. And then as Mecho traveled to find a safe place to raise his kids on his own, their daughter Rondel ended up separated. Minuet and Cabriole both grew up in the Yectenehua Herd without either of their parents around.
Still, things had a way of working themselves out as Melody was reunited with Rondel when she ran away from her father and siblings. They had some brief time together until she got lost again. But, they were together again when Rondel introduced Melody to a lovely stallion that would soon become Rondel mate.
And then, Mecho would find them. Together. He would discover his runaway daughter and the love of his life all at the same time. Melody returned to the Herd with him and they managed to forget their problems. Melody was sad to see her kids all grown up and not in need of a mother again. But before long she would have kids again, and this time she'd be a much better mother.
And now, Melody is recovering from having six lovely foals. And wondering how in the world she's going to handle them all! But, no fear! At least Baroque and Farruca are around to help. And then there are their Godparents as well. In fact, Melody was starting to think she would absolutely love this.
And Baroque planned on being the best big brother anyone could ask for! Not to mention the only big brother, or the only one around anyway. He often wondered exactly what his older brother was like. He would just have to be his own role model in this case. And, he was thrilled to see one of them had wings as well. An Amachi that he could fly with! And teach to fly! YAY! He could wait to teach her, as soon as she was a bit better at walking first though.
Those first steps were great! But for some reason Echo was being really twitchy on her feet. Probably because she kept flapping out a wing and throwing herself off balance. When she tried to move, every bit of her wanted to move as well, and that included her wings. All woobly and wonky with her steps. Surely she's learn how to do this perfectly sooner or later.
At least was was going through this with the rest of her siblings too, except none of them had wings that kept flipping out on them. WAIT A SECOND! She did have a sibling that had wings! Just, not one that was as young as her.
"Baroque~!"

 Prancing merrily along her family's territory, the happy little filly was proudly holding a bushel of wildflowers in her mouth. Tail twitching this way and that, her ears perk as she spots her mother. Red eyes lightning up, she lifts her head proudly, as well as her knee's as she trots on over. Placing the little collection before the larger mare, she lifts her head to nuzzle against Melody's chest, humming blissfully,
"Mammaaaa~<3 " she sing songs, finally resting her chin on the mother's chest to gaze up at that lovely face, "I got some flowers! Aren't they pretty?" of course some of her siblings were nearby, but they seemed busy. Besides... she'd gotten these for her mother!

A pair of bright yellow eyes danced as golden hooves struck merrily against the ground, beats in time with the melody whispering from the colt's throat. He wasn't quite sure what the tune was for, and as he hummed it it switched pitch and speed a few times as if unable to make up its mind what it wanted to be. But even as one part of his mind was playing with the music, another was keeping keen eyes on his siblings. His gate wasn't perfect yet - though he didn't feel so shaky when he moved around at a somewhat brisker pace, going slower he found often had him tripping over his own hooves.
For now though, his pace was jolly and somewhat smooth, head cocking as he watched Fermata bring the flowers to their mother. Pretty, pretty~ but where'd she find them? He mentally told himself to ask her soon, but as his eyes flickered to the lone pink sister of his, the thought was lost. It was hard to not spot Echo on her way to their elder brother, for her wings or her coloring. Seeing her fumble on her feet, Rhapsody hummed his little tune right on over to her, trying to nudge his way under one of her wings to help keep her balanced. "You look like a duck in the water," he chimed up brightly, thinking of the water fowl as they fluttered their wings about upon landing in the liquid.
Not that he could talk for long - to try and help Echo, his pace slowed, and almost as soon as the words were out of his mouth, two of his hooves clicked together, legs tangling for the briefest of moments. He yelped, stumbling forward a few steps before shakily bringing himself to an awkward halt, staring accusingly at his own legs before glancing at his sister. "And I feel like one."

Melody watched her foals as the romped all over the place. Some of them were still new on their hooves and other's were handling themselves just fine. And they all were just so darn cute! All six of them...! She still had a hard time getting used to the fact that there were six. It was a good thing she had Baroque and Farruca to help. Not to mention Ikinya and Cuauhcoatl. The best Godparents anyone could ask for.
She watched as Fermata pranced up to her and she smiled merrily down at her little filly. "Hey cutie~ My those are lovely, How about we put one right..." She paused as she bent down to pick up a single flower and tuck one behind her little filly's ear. "There, just lovely." She nuzzled her little girl. This was so great! How she had thought she couldn't have done their her first time around was shocking to her down. She loved being a Mom more then anything anymore.
baroque perked up as he heard his name called, and he spotted Echo trying to make her way to him. He recalled having the same troubles as her when he was younger. She'd be just fine with time though. He started to head in her direction, until Rhapsody popped up to help her along to him.
"Nice job Rhapsody! You'll get used to the wings eventually Echo." He watched as Rhapsody tumbled forward, and tried to hold back a little laugh. At least he had tried to help, and with the sudden missing support of her brother Echo tumbled forward next.
"I feel like a duck out of water." But still, Echo was happy to have the help of her older brother. That was, until he tumbled over and she quickly joined him. Only, with the added flapping of her wings as she tried to regain her balance.
"Eeee." Her front two legs slip behind her, and she quite literally landed on her face. "I hope you're right Baroque!" She slowly wiggled herself back into a stand position. At least, if she stood perfectly still, she was fine. It was only the moving part that she was having troubles with.

Beaming up at her mother, obviously proud of her feat, she wiggles her stubby tail excitedly. She'd only plucked the prettiest, most vibrant flowers for her mama! Pricking her ears forward as just one flower was pulled from the bouquet, she blinks up to the motherly mare, giggling as the stem slipped through her short mane. The ear that held it wiggled a bit, adjusting to it's passenger. "Thank you, mama! I wanted you to have the best one's I could find!" she exclaims cheerily, leaning into the nuzzling, and returning with her own, smoothing her cheek to her mama's, and the top of her head under the longer jaw. Peeking back up, she tips her head, "Mama, let me put one in your mane too!" she squeaks, eyes lighting up at the idea.
