Daria grazed in the meadow, not far from where she had first met the carefree and beautiful mare Mira. She had hoped to see Mira again after the mare had taken off, but so far Daria had had no luck. Mira was a carefree spirit, who wandered seeming in search of something, but not even knowing what. Atleast that's how she seemed to Daria.
Daria's wings flexed as she bent her neck down to n** up a tasty bit of alfalfa, the sweet treat a delicious change from Daria's favorite apples. The blue and white mare's ears twitched as she listened for the sound of any approaching azrein, hoping to find a nice conversation with someone who wouldn't use gigantic words to accentuate his intelligence like Abdul so often did. Not that Daria begrudged him that. But sometimes she wished she could have an intelligent conversation she could understand.

A loud neigh echoed through the grassy fields as Mira announced her pit stop to no one in particular, though the smaller wildlife got quite a scare. The mare had a long and wonderful gallop in the morning, and her stomach demanded to be filled. Not that she minded at all. Slowing her steps to a canter, she looked around for a nice patch of grass to devour. Her deep sapphire gaze focused on a blue and wing shape that did not quite fit into the ocean of green. Mira turned and trotted in its direction, and as she drew in closer, she began to recognize the Azrein. "Daria?" she called out to the winged mare with her blue-tipped hair. "What a pleasant surprise!"

Daria jerked her head up at the sound of a familiar nicker and grinned when she saw Mira trotting towards her. "Mira! Yes its me! I've been wondering about you!" Daria chuckled as Mira got closer. Daria took in the sight of the female, one she hoped to call a friend.
She nickered happily as she finished eating. "You look beautiful as ever Mira. Tell me! Where have you been? What have you done? You're a world traveler now right?" She teased the mare.
Daria glanced around the meadow to see if anyone else was around but it looked as if it was just her and Mira here for now.

"Oh how you flatter," Mira gently, playfully nudged the other mare with her nose. "I wish I can call myself that," she replied with a chuckle. "I haven't even made it out of the plains yet because of how distracted I get." She tilted her head to one side as she studied Daria, as if familiarizing herself once more with her lovely appearance. Whether it was genuine or in jest, she smiled an almost lecherous smile and added, "Of course, some are more welcomed than others."

Daria laughed to cover up the blush that blossomed across her face. "Surely you've met some interesting Azrein, other than me of course." Daria teased, as she regained composure and flexed her wings to keep her composure. There was something about the movements of her wings that could relax her on the outside.
Daria beckoned Mira to follow her towards the shade of trees as the sun overhead grew higher. She knew, that with Mira's dark coat, it would be harder for her to stand in the sun and be hot than it would be for Daria. "Its cooler in the shade." Daria commented as she settled herself in the cool grass of the shade for some lovely catching up.

"Sure thing," she nodded and followed Daria to the shade, giggling softly to herself. She never expected that she'd get so much amusement from making a friend uncomfortable with her advances. It was all in good fun, of course, though she wondered if Daria would take offense if she pressed too far. She made a note to dial down the flirt for now. "I've met some, but they seem to have their own agenda. It's nice to have a friend like you to talk to," Mira smiled kindly at Daria.
The lush green grass here felt great against her legs. Probably great in my stomach too, she thought as she reached down for a bite. "So..." She started as she slowly chewed on her meal. "What have you been up to lately?" Realizing that this might appear rude, she quickly added, "Would you like some? I hope you don't mind the eating."

Daria laughed as she watched Mira bend her graceful neck down and n** at some of the grass. She was mesmerized by Mira's slender and graceful body with its dark black and purple-ish colors. Shaking her head slightly Daria smiled at the mare.
"I've been eating Mira, its fine. And its nice to finally talk to another azrein I can understand again. I spent some time with Abdul and was constantly having to ask for definitions. It was exhausting." She grinned. "But he's a great conversationalist once you get past the big words. I even picked up a few." She commented before bending down to n** some grass of her own. It wasn't as sweet as the alfalfa or as juicy as her fruit of choice, but it was yummy nonetheless.

Mira swallowed her mouthful and chuckled, "That's more than I ever managed. I can't stay awake for long after he starts talking." She felt Daria's eyes linger as she grazed, and the mare pondered about retracting her previous note. After all, if she was interested and willing, there was no reason to hold back, right? "I'm glad that you can learn from him, though. Maybe one day you'll be smarter than he is!" Mira teased and winked at Daria from just above the delicious blades.
An idea popped into her head, and she reached deeper into the grass, as if to tug at a particularly stubborn plant, to hide her grin. The mare moved with her head down to make it seem like she was selecting the next morsel. Inch by inch, she drew closer to Daria until they touched. Fur like the dark night sky brushed gently against a soft coat the color of a warm day as Mira's cheeks caressed Daria's front leg. She closed her eyes to savor the sensation for a moment before backing off. When she opened them again, she glanced at the blue and white mare through half lowered lashes and smiled once more against the grass.

A blush made Daria turn her head away, a smile upon her face as she tried to regain herself. Daria's wing's fluttered in her mixed up emotions of embarrassment, nervousness and.. longing?
Daria lowered her head to bite at some more grass, leaning in towards Mira as she had just down, brushing her own cheek against Mira's leg as she swallowed her small morsel. The blush remained upon Daria's face as she looked up at Mira, her light blue eyes taking in the darker ones that were beneath lowered lashes.
Conversation forgotten, Daria smiled at Mira, her eyes glowing with mischief and flirtation.

Daria's response surprised a squeak out of Mira for this was not the reaction she expected. It was, of course, a pleasant surprise, and the mare could not help but be delighted. She shifted her position slightly to bring her head close to Daria's. "I did not see this coming," Mira muttered softly into the white fur as she nuzzled the blushing mare. "You weren't so straight forward before. Not that I mind this at all." Thoughts of food have long since departed from her, leaving her to wonder what to do from now on. Her flirts never got this far before, and it was thrilling. Slightly frightening too, though Mira would never admit that.

Daria blushed as Mira nuzzled her, her wings flexing as she pondered over this new feeling. She had hoped Mira would become her friend but now she wondered if they had crossed over that line into something.
Daria watched Mira with her light colored eyes, looking over the black and purple markings, memorizing every patch and stripe. She no longer felt hungry. I didn't even imagine to see you today.." Daria admitted. I thought for sure you'd be off somewhere exploring." She nickered softly as she gently nipped Mira's mane.

"Same here. I wasn't expecting our paths to cross again," The nipping tickled, and Mira instinctively shook loose her long mane, rippling the curtain of hair like the wind through a willow tree. She did not want to give the false impression that she disliked the attention, though. She lifted her head and shifted again to be closer to Daria. Their bodies were parallel and barely separated. As her sides expanded with each intake of air, the blues on the mares' backs seemed to run together as black fur and white lightly touched for the briefest of moments. Reaching over Daria's neck, Mira lowered her head again but on the opposite side from before so that she held the other mare in an embrace of sorts. "Fate certainly has its interesting ways."

Daria nodded as she, too, lowered her head and wrapped it around Mira's body, embracing her back. "It sure does..." She murmured back as she closed her eyes and relaxed into Mira's body, feeling comfortable and safe.

Time passed by unmarked as Mira lost herself in the sensation of being so close to another Azrein, especially one as pretty as Daria. While she disliked admitting it, past few nights had been so lonely that she was aching for some company. Mira locked eyes with Daria and asked, half-teasing, "Now how did you know I needed this?" She nuzzled the white mare again before stepping back a bit to admiring the "view"...so to speak.
A thought had been nagging the dark blue Azrein since she started this flirt. Though somewhat uncharacteristic, Mira could not help but wonder what would happen to their friendship the next day. Would it be something more...? An involuntary shudder shot through her body as she thought of being bond, once again, to relations. Shaking herself to get rid of these unpleasant and intruding thoughts, she reminded herself of her favorite quote: I'll cross that bridge when I get there. A seductive smile spread across her face. For now, Mira would enjoy the pleasures of being with a pretty mare such as Daria.

Daria smiled and gave a small shrug at Mira's question as she munched on apples she had gotten earlier. It was amazing, this flirtation that had been going on for days on end, and Daria greatly enjoyed Mira's company. She was a great friend and.. well...
Daria had questioned how this would end for the two of them. She knew from the first moment of meeting Mira for the first time, that Mira was the wandering type, and wouldn't stay anywhere long for anyone. Daria hoped that that fact and the past few days wouldn't ruin the friendship the two mares shared.
Daria sighed happily as Mira smiled at her. "Wanna go down to the river?" She asked with a sly smile, her eyes sparkling.
