Amrita had the bug. The music bug. Everything she did came right back around to music in one way or another, and the seed of interest was taking root in her rotted little heart. Sadly, the seed didn't bring up a plant, apparently this seed was a bug egg. But enough derailing!
While she had yet to get a Guitar in her possession, it never hurt to look, right? That was her reasoning for being in the library in the first place; she wanted to see what their music section was like; she wanted to look at picture books of great musicians and, Jack willing, perhaps learn a thing or two about actually playing, instead of just strumming the strings! The moment she saw the first spine of a music themed book, Amrita looked elated. The tiny, child-like ghoul with the backwards hands and feet started wandering dreamily through the stacks.
So focused on the books at her side, she was not paying any attention to what was ahead of her. Which was probably more of a bad thing for the boil she ended up walking right into, stumbling back with a startled 'guh' and a look that clearly meant she had no idea of what just happened. Luckily she hadn't been moving too fast, plus her tiny frame allowed for no accidental bowling-overs, unless she other person was seriously off balance.
Looking up, she gave a wide-eyed stare at the boil she had walked into; wait, she recognized him!

Roch blinked. Stupidly. Okay, he wasn't really used to people that were so unfocused that they actually ran into other people. In fact, that was one of the most ridiculous things he'd ever heard of, and had people back home seen it, they would have howled (literally) with laughter. As it was, a tiny twitch pulled at his lips as he put the book he'd been about to pull back into its slot and turned to the backwards ghoul.
"Hey," he said. "You alright?" He knew her... it was from one of those booths, right? She'd been running for public relations, like Astra-- And she'd given him two suckers!
"Amrita, right?" he said, grinning now. "You know, even in an empty place like this you should probably watch where you're going."

Ah, one of the perks of an overly rotted body; senses were dull if not completely gone. Which would also explain why Amrita did not notice the twitch in Roch's lips. As far as she was concerned, he only looked surprised, not amused.
"Mmm? Me? Oh, yes, I'm..." A little pause and everything came back to her, making her straighten and look, well...thoroughly panicked. "OH JACK I'M SO SORRY I DIDN'T MEAN TO --- ARE YOU OKAY?!"" Moments later she was treated with a harsh shhhhhhhhh, which only served to make her look even more uncomfortable. Oh maaaan she was getting into such trouble all over the place, this was terrible! If she had expressive ears, they would have drooped. The flowers on her head seemed to wilt the tiniest bit, though.
"Y-yes, I'm A-Amrita." She murmured, looking like a kicked puppy as she acknowledged he was right. The boil did register with her, she remembered his pretty awesome hair, but for the moment her rotted little brain couldn't pull up his name; luckily, there were ways around that! "I'm so sorry! I'll pay more attention next time, I promise! I-I'll be bigger then, and my brain will work better!" She was running for Student Council after all, it was important to let people know she wouldn't be this stupid forever!
Hopefully.
"Err, s-so...Music?" Meaning: Why are you here, I thought you were an awesome musician?

"Music," he agreed, holding up one of the books he had picked out. "I'm going to learn how to compose while I'm here. It's kinda like... self imposed homework that I actually WANT to do." In other words, he was doing this instead of the homework assignments he was SUPPOSED to do.
"Is that why you're in this part of the library?" he asked. "Wanna learn music, too?" He should probably warn her about going to the music classes--wait, she'd been here longer than he had, so she probably already know, right? Didn't he have some music homework he was avoiding as well? He frowned, trying to remember all the stuff he WASN'T doing...

"..." The discomfort in her expression faded almost instantly to disbelief. "You...have homework you don't want to do?!" Wow, really?! She loved her homework! Up until now she was convinced there was only one person in the world who didn't like and/or do their homework, and that person was Nuk. Was this boil like Nuk? Her hazy gray eye lidded to stare at him, scrutinizing every detail. "W-well, I guess it can't all be fun..." She submitted, vaguely recalling that Professor Malcolm had told her to hug DC more as homework.
Come to think of it, she had yet to do that.
"Yeah, I wanna learn...I want a guitar one day." Nodding, she tilted her head and then looked away out of shyness, twisting some hair over her shoulder. "But, uhm...that's for later..." She needed a bigger body first! The knowledge that there was homework he didn't want to do was actually starting to bother her, and she dropped the music subject in favour of something way more important. If this boil was like Nuk, then...
"What homework aren't you doing?" She questioned in a rather suspicious voice.

Why did he feel busted? Roch frowned, then sighed. "Well there's the sex ed homework, but I wasn't planning on going back--that teacher's freakin' terrifying," he muttered, his neck and ears turning red as he admitted it. "She actually ATE Bul! Were you there for that?" he asked. "He was glowing afterwards!"
That in itself was a good enough reason to NEVER go near that Cricket lady EVER AGAIN in Roch's mind. That she was a ghost just doubled--tripled, even--the reason for Roch to not go back!

Amrita was no Cricket, but she still managed to get one big, bad boy to do his homework.
"...Ooooh. Y-yeah, I saw, but she spit him out!" Which was an important selling point! The tiny ghoul looked thoughtful. "Well...maybe you should do your homework, or Cricket will eat you next!" She waggled her backwards fingers in a hopefully menacing manner. Plus she didn't know if the Nurse would actually eat anyone who didn't step on a bug. "How much more do you have to do?" Actually, she hadn't done that homework yet either...but she was not going to tell him that, after all this talk about actually doing your homework...

"The whole thing?" Roch said with a shrug. "All that 'find ways to keep from growing mold' or something like that. Seems pretty simple to me, you just don't have sex with people," he finished. "And since I don't got a ghoulfriend, I don't see how that could be a big deal, right?" His true attention was on the backward hands. That would make playing a guitar kind of difficult, wouldn't it?
"Have you done it yet?" he asked her. "Or are you just going to skip the next class, too?"

A lot of the conversation was lost on the ghoul, who didn't really grasp the concept of a boil/ghoulfriend in the first place. Sure she had a special friend, but she just assumed that meant they were super special friends. Besides, Charlie was the one who told her they were special friends, so that had to be right. All in all, she pretty much just stared at Roch with a blank look until he asked her if she'd done it yet.
Then, miraculously, she started to blush.
"Oh dear Jack no! I don't even u---ohwaityoumeantthehomework UH..." Her blush seemed to get worse and she looked away, still twisting her hair between her hands. "W-well, no. I s-started it, but..." But she had other things to do, like get ready for her new body and to stop DC from lighting her desk on fire. His suggestion though, that received a completely HORRIFIED stare.
"S-S-Skip?!" She stammered out as though it was the most blasphemous thing she'd ever heard. "N-no, you can't skip! Wh-what if Nurse Cricket finds out?! Wh-What if you get expelled?! Or worse, Have to see Hellma?!" Amrita was very, very scared for this boil. So scared that she reached out, taking one of his hands with both of her tiny, child-like backwards ones. "Please, you must do your homework, and you have to go to class!"

"Hell--Hellma?" he repeated. "Jack. Jack. Jack. I can't get kicked out! And I definitely don't wanna go see Hellma!" He scowled. "But I don't want to go to that class again, seriously..."
He sighed as he looked down at the books in his hands. "Fine. But... hey, you wanna help?" he asked her. "Cuz I have no clue, and I don't really care, either." He looked around, then headed for the front to see if they had some sort of way to look stuff up. Or if he could just look it up under the S's. Or maybe FEAR infections or something? Hell if he knew...

"Yes, Hellma!" She whimpered out, looking around as thought the Headmistress could appear at any time. "She left me n' Sammy n' West n' Barth to fight Jingleberry for our exam!" She admitted to Roch in a choked whisper, scared as anything. Of course she was a little less scared for his wellbeing when he submitted to her panicked pleas, and she released his hand with a very relieved sigh, the back of one hand pressing against the hole in her chest through her sari, there her old, rotted and useless heart resided.
"Yes, I will help...as long as you promise me you'll show up and not skip classes!" The tiny little ghoul, reaching no higher than 3'11, was very, very serious. Very serious indeed. "Umm...perhaps...the interwebs? I've been practicing at the interwebs!" Amrita puffed with pride, turning on her backward toes to make her way to a series of computers on the other side of the room, plopping herself down in front of one; rather, climbing into the chair and sitting down. Damn this tiny body!
"OKAY...umm, what was the homework, again? Should we search mating or mold?"

He followed, grabbing the seat at the computer next to hers and dragging it over. Then he promptly sat on it backwards, resting his arms on the back rest and his chin on the arms.
"How about FEAR infections? And mold?" he offered, wanting to see how well she typed with those backward hands of hers. If she could type, there was a good chance he could teach her to play, too.
It reminded him of several times when he'd had broken fingers yet still had to play. It was possible... barely.

In fact, upon closer inspection, it would seem that Roch was not the only one who had suffered broken fingers at some point; Amrita's right hand had an awkward bend to it. The knuckles were broken and the fingers were bent slightly out of the norm. Even outside of that, the same hand had stitch marks on the palm from the pull the sword from the stone event at open house. A perk to being undead; such things didn't really hinder you in the long run, however it was awkward. Besides, she wouldn't have this body for much longer, what was a few broken knuckles?!
"Mmmm....okay, that makes sense." Tongue sticking out of her mouth, Amrita set to typing...with the knuckles of her fingers. Her palms pointed upwards and her fingers, even the broken ones, curled as best as they could while she typed. "Eff-ee-eh-arr....in...fec...tio...ns..." She murmured out as she typed, then moved to hit submit. There was a LOT of gruegle responses, but she chose the first one....which apparently had a lot of pictures.
"....Auuuugh this is so groooosssss!" Amrita whimpered, clicking away to find one with more, uh, text.

"Think we should look at books instead?" Roch offered, having watched her fingers closely. It would be... difficult to play that way. She would probably be better with drums or some sort of percussion--
"Can you look up what sort of books are in the library?" he asked her, shrugging his thoughts off for now. She had said something about wanting to wait to get a guitar till she grew, right? Did undead grow? Oh well, none of his business. "We'll find something really scientific sounding and copy it onto paper."
Clearly the subject of plagiarism or anything related to it had never been taught to the reaper boil.

The horrified stare returned.
"N-no! We must write it out in our own words!" She squeaked out, dropping her voice to a very awkward whisper. She did log off the computer and slide off the chair afterwards, moving to do a little bit of book research...without telling Roch where she was going.
Luckily she returned not too much longer later, a piece of paper held in her twisted hands. "Umm...I think I found one but....can't reach it..." She murmured sheepishly, curling her better hand around one of his wrists, urging him towards the shelf the book rested on.
