 Kukai was half way in a lake that lays next to a beautiful meadow. Swaying his tail to get the water up on his back with the hot sun beating down. He lowers his hand and starts to take a drink. Once lifting his head. He spots a white and blue mare. Blinking a few times as he tilts his head a bit thinking that this mare his beautiful. He stays in the lake as he takes a few in the mares direction as he keeps watching her a bit.

 Daria lay under an apple tree fairly near the water's edge. Her neck was craned backwards as she preened her wing feathers, making sure they were all in place and clean, and that no sticks or dirt were stuck in between the feathers, which would become painful if she didn't get them out.
Her mind wandered as she thought of the azrein she had met. Rakai with his stunning green eyes, dark blue handsome pelt.. But he viewed things differently than her. It wouldn't work. Then their was Abdul.. the rather intelligent stallion with a humongous vocabulary she didn't always understand. Then there was her Michiko, there was Tashi, Mira, and a few humans.
Daria sighed happily as she gently stretched out her neck and grabbed an apple from the stack she had made earlier, eagerly munching into the juicy fruit, unaware of the green stallion downwind from her.

Kukai watches the mare as he stops staying a few feet from her. After all he knows not to spook another by appearing next to them without warning. He wonders just what the mare could be thinking about as he lowers his head into the water and then without warning roars up quickly to get some water on the back of his neck.
His front hooves slowly come down as he isn't trying to spook the mare but his neck and back needed more water on them. His herd is full of a few mares who get annoyed with him because he turns almost everything into a fun game and they tell him he should grow up more.
With that thought he sighs and closes his eyes and lowers his head to get a drink this time. After all this mare might tell him the same thing. To grow up.

Daria heard the splashing of an Azrein in the water. A little startled, though not frightened, she stood up and looked towards the lake. Spying a green and white male she blushed in embarrassment as she realized she had been day dreaming and unaware of his playful antics.
"Oh. Hello there. I'm sorry I didn't notice you. She said as she walked out into the water to greet him, going as deep as the middle of her legs, letting the feathery fur at her hooves get soaked.

"Hello and no need to be sorry. You looked lost in thought." Kukai pointed out with his eyes opened as he looks at her. "My name is Kukai and what might your name be Miss?" He wonders a bit as he switches his tail to move more water onto his back. Then he bows to her. That is part of his fun playful way.
He stands straight up again. "After all a pretty mare like you must have a beautiful name to match you." He smiles as he prances in place a bit.

Daria blushed when the green male bowed to her, which turned even deeper when he called her pretty. "My name is Daria and its a pleasure to meet you Kukai." She replied, tucking her wings in self-consciously.
Daria shuffled her hooves and flicked her double tail as she studied Kukai. He was a handsome male with striking green features. She loved the color green. It reminded her of the leaves on apple tree's, which in turn reminded her of the sweet taste and smell of apples. Speaking of which.
"I was just enjoying some apples. Would you like some?" Daria asked politely, showing him the stack of apples she had gathered earlier.

"Daria is a pretty name. And the honor is all mine." He then hears her talk about apples as he looks over to the stack of apples. "Oh I would love some. And if you want more. I can get some for you." He either rears or jumps up to get apples.. But there have been times he bucks the trees and lets them fall to the ground.
"Red apples are sweet. Green apples are a bit sour. And the many colored ones are also sweet. And the Yellow ones are nice as well. What can I say.. My favorite treat are apples and my chosen feeds me all kinds."

A smile graced Daria's face as she listened to the pretty green Azrein talk about apples. So he loved them too?
I agree. Apples are the most delicious fruit that a tree could produce. Though I don't have a chosen yet...." Daria muttered the last part. It embarrassed her that she had been unable to find a human yet. It was.. strange.
"Your welcome to some of mine." She offered as she leaned down and grabbed one, unable to resist another bite.

Kukai heard what she muttered and left that part alone. "Oh yes apples are amazing for a fruit." He takes one of the ones she had offered to him and bites into it as he still watches her. Something about her just got to him..
And got to him in a good way as if he were falling to somewhere wonderful. "What else do you like to do?" he wonders just having this craving to know as much as he can about her.

Daria gave a small chuckle as she nommed on another apple. She liked Kukai's voice. It was soft and melodic.. almost like... Don't go there Daria... Forget about Mira for now... Daria looked away and recovered the tears that almost burned her eyes.
After a small sigh she looked back up at Kukai and gave a sweet smile. "Well I like taking care of my son.. Damir, and playing with my glen mates, Michi who's a foal and Jondayla who is.. shy around other people. She chuckled and looked towards her glen, which actually wasn't far away. She half wondered if Mira was still there with Purnima. She had tried to avoid the darker female since.. the fight.
I love being around softly running water. The sound calms me and makes me feel safe." She tilted her head at the other azrein. Enough about me though.. what about you Kukai. What do you like?" She asked sweetly.

Kukai listening to her. Then hears her question. "Hmm I find soft running water calming. I like apples. Then there is watermelon which my chosen gives me. That is good. Hmm oh oh I love long waters on the shore side in the moonlight. That is fun and having the water hit your hooves is so nice." He points out a bit as he finishes his apple a bit.
He looks at Daria a bit. "Is something bothering you? You look like you might be avoiding something?" He is very good at noticing things. "So how old is your son?" He is wondering which topic he should go or stick with.

Daria smiled at the images invoked in her head at his descriptions of what he liked to do. That sounds lovely.. I'll have to try it sometime. And what is this watermelon thing you speak of. I have never heard of it before." She said.
She munched a little more on her apples, putting it in her mind to save a couple for Michi and Damir so they could have a couple treats today for letting Jonda watch them and letting her get away from the glen for a little while. "I'd.. rather not talk about it..." She said to his first question, avoiding his gaze. "My son, Damir is still only a blanket. He can't talk yet and he doesn't do much more than sleep and watch me and my glenmates. I also have two daughters the same age.. Purnima who... well is with her uhm.. Well her other mother.. and we are trying to find someone to adopt my other daughter so she has no name yet...." Daria said, still avoiding his gaze. Would he think awful of her for what happened between her and Mira?

"Aww I see. So things are confusing one would say. It happens in life no need to worry too much about it or you are only going to allow stress to get the best of you." He stretches a bit. "Oh the watermelon. Well My chosen has a garden with some in it. I bet if she saw you she would give you one. She is kind like that."
He eats another apple as he thinks a watermelon what be good now. "I hope your other daughter finds a home. One she is happy with and all." He isn't sure what to say at this time. Chatting with females isn't a strong point for him but he is trying to not look too much like a fool.

Daria smiled at the kind words the male gave her. Her wings lay against her back in a relaxed manner. She finished eating, leaving four apples in the pile. "I'll have to come by sometime to see and taste watermelon then. It sounds like it may be delicious. And I hope so too. I won't have anything less for my daughter.." She said, her mind flashing to Mira. Would Purnima have a good home with the beautiful dark mare? Or would Mira neglect her and leave her for days on end?
Daria shook the thoughts from her head and turned back to Kukai. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Kukai. We'll have to meet up again sometime, but I must be returning to my glen and make sure Damir is okay." She waited for his response before leaving.

"The pleasure of this meeting is all mine. I wouldn't mind meeting your daughter. I like kids and when we meet again for watermelon please bring her along as well. I think she will enjoy it." He bows to her as he is so happy and on cloud nine from meeting sure a pretty mare. He really doesn't want this meeting to end but knows it must.
"I do hope we will bump into each other again. And I am looking forward to playing games with her daughter. If you ever need a babysitter. I will be happy to lend a hoof."
