The Imperial Military is a vast organization. Using billions of troops, ships, weapons, etc, this is the ruling military of the galaxy. They do not discriminate on race or gender, but discipline is harshly enforced when on duty.
They benefit from good pay, guaranteed meals and lodging, as well as better then average equipment and weapons. Better units have access to better tech, as well as higher pay. Standard Imperial Service length is ten standard years. The current overall commander is Lord General Trigurz (pronounced as Tree-Gur-Zuh)

Imperial Classes:
These are just some of the classes available to the Imperial Military. Some are restricted to human-only, as their smaller size compared to other races has advantages.
Soldier-All races, standard infantry.
Pilot- All Races, standard pilot. Some smaller ships are human-only crewed.
Commander- All Races, subject to approval. Commands Infantry.
Strike Force Commando - All Races, subject to approval. Elite Infantry with better gear.
Strike Force Captain- Human only, subject to approval. Elite Infantry Leader.
Fleet Captain- All Races, subject to approval. Commands ships.
Fleet Admiral- All Races, subject to approval, Commands Fleets.
Inquisitor- Human only, subject to approval, has Psionic powers, military rank of Major.

Demolitions Expert
Artillery Gunner
Capital Ship Gunner
Freighter Captain
Pathfinder (Sniper/sabotuer)
Medic
Cook
Recruit Trainer
Recruit
Quartermaster
Imperial Explorator- scouts new planets for colonization, and reports back to various outposts to upload the data to the military network, which is then sent to the Imperial Capital and passed on to the Colonization Department.
Security Officer (like an Military Policeman)

Note on standard infantry:
These are the most numerous symbol of the Empire across the galaxy. They serve numerous combat roles, and in different theaters, are known as snow troopers, sand troopers, etc. They carry a standard laser rifle, with black armor, utility belt, and sidearm holster. The most common nickname for them is 'bucketheads' as the helmets they wear bear a striking resemblance to a metal bucket with a shielded set of eye holes and a mouthpiece fitted with a voice modulator, which is always set to a menacing, intimidating synthesized tone.
