There was a thing on our morning show, about what people class as sexual harassment, at work.

Some people reckoned a pat on the bottom was fine, but others thought it was rediculous.

I find any kind of contact like that is out of order! The shop I work in is part of a garden centre and the manager of the garden centre does the playful flirting eg. smacking me on the arm as I walk passed, kicking me on the butt. And I find that very uncomfortable even though it's not direct sexual contact. I know the intent of it, and it creeps me out x_x;

Have any of you had to put up with any uncalled for behaviour at your work place?

I get it from customers. I've had people hold up my line trying to get my number... stare

Hahaha. Thanks Lou, I'm pretty sure the guy was desperate though. It was kind of funny because I had no idea what was going on at first. I finished his purchase and he asked me for a piece of paper and so I got him a piece of paper and then he asked for a pen so I gave him a pen. Then he handed both to me and asked me to write my number down so he could call me later. I told him I was already seeing someone and so he wrote his number down and told me to call him when I was done with the loser I was with. When I looked at his number later, I couldn't even read it and he didn't write his name down either.

Haha how funny! I've never had something like that happen to me before! Sam isn't a loser sad lol

Yeah - Sam is awesome! 3nodding heart whee

The guy had no idea who I was dating, nor did he know my name or anything else about me. It was the only time I had ever seen that guy too. That's why I think he was desperate.

Well there is that saying "if you don't ask, you don't get" so maybe he was just taking a chance ;D

Maybe, but it was creepy. I hate it when customers hit on me.

Nothing I do counts as sexual harassment, because obviously the lady wanted it due to her style of dress.

But in all seriousness, I just get girls flirting with me when I'm at work and since I'm supposed to be nice I just sit there, but I want them to just leave me alone since they are never cute T.T

i think it's all about context and how the person on the receiving end feels about it. if two people like each other, than their flirting and touching wouldn't be seen that way. but if someone is being overly sexual and it's unwanted, then it can go the way of harassment. i think it's a judgement between the two people.

I agree that a lot of the times it depends on the specifics. I met my current boyfriend where I work (and he use to work).

I completely agree, Emily. I find the manager gross and weird =/ lol. He's just creepy beyond creepyness.

There are some people that might see the way I interact with one of my co-workers as flirtatious... but It's not He's like an older brother to me, and he's into guys.. but touching on the bum or chest is not ok..

Well I wouldn't know what it's like to be sexually harrassed at a job.
But it's happened in school before. By girls I didn't even like.
Even my friend Zach would do that to me, but he's just an idiot. ;P

I'm really close with my friends and we hug all the time and stuff. But I would freak out if one of my co-workers or worse, a manager or someone like that would touch me in such a way... I only do close contact with friends and family
