Articuno flew quietly over the lands, watching as all of the Azerian below went off to bed. Unlike them, she found it hard to sleep at night as that was the time when it was the coolest. Her body was naturally drawn to the cold and thus that was why she made her nest on top of the snowy mountains. However, she also had a sense of adventure and need for danger at every turn. So unable to find it in the cold mountain tops of her home she decided it was time to fly toward the King's herd lands. As she flew she stretched out her taloned feet and clawed at the air, it felt good between her claws.
As she flew over the area where the King's herd lands began she began to get lower and lower until she was eventually landing on the soft ground. The night air felt cool, which helped her keep her body tempature at a normal condition. Her belly rumbled with hunger as she had not eaten yet tonight. "A meal..." Articuno said softly to the air as she looked at the ground. Surely there was a worm or some little rodent that could become her breakfast around here somewhere. After several minutes of searching Aritcuno heard a light rattling coming from the gound that was just a few inches from her feet. "Behold my snakey friend." She said striking out at it. Not wanting to make the poor thing suffer she made sure to kill it immediately. "My beak." She replied as she began to eat at it. Articuno's meals usually consisted of small rodents, however, she would sometimes feed on grass as well if she could not find the perfect meal.
After several moments she stretched her body out, making sure to shake her tail loose. Once she was standing straight once again she stretched out her wings as far as they would go. Oh how good that feels. She thought to herself with a smile.
