Mour’Tisha was tired of the sun; it was officially her worst enemy. She gave it good points for being so torturous but she was hot although she tried to put it out of sight out of mind. Thei’ng at this point was nowhere to be found which made walking in the rogue lands even more tedious. He poor Cleo was beginning to wither. She looked up at the sun, “You win once again, but one day.” She sighed and sniff out the closet watering hole. She needed to make sure her pet was okay.

As she got to the watering hole the sun made its presence even more know as it stood at the top of the sky. She walked into the watering hole and she lapped at the water and Cleo squirmed around enjoying the water. Tish smiled enjoying the refreshment the water brought. Tish looked around, this place needed more danger, and it was so plain. She sighed at took refuge under a tree in hopes that the heat would subside soon.

Lost. Lost. Lost. Nja's lost. So lost. Looosst~ Wandering around the roguelands in a typically aimless fashion, the cheery little huntress had left her pride unattended and--big surprise!--Njalo had lost her way or rather couldn't remember which way back to the bonelands. Was that the same thing? None the less! What had started out as worried rambling, had evolved in a short period to become a sing-song type melody. It was so up-beat that anyone who crossed her path might not have believed there was any trouble at all. Maybe that was the reason why no one had yet stopped to help her?

Not that Njalo often considered these things. Even the glowing sun on her dark backside could put the plucky umzengeli's mood, but then Nja seemed to have an almost candid sort of luck. Stumbling paw-first into a watering hole where fresh paw prints lingered. Someone was heeeeeeeere!

She squealed to nobody in particular, leaning down to sniff at the rippling surface and nearly finding herself with a nose full of water. You never would have guessed that this diamond in the rough was actually one of her pride's most skilled hunters.

Tish looked up as her ears twitch at the beautiful howling. She looked over to find a lioness standing where she herself stood a few moments earlier. “Should I say something?” She looked down at the plant wrapped around her leg. It wiggled, possibly saying yes or maybe just from enjoying the water and shade; not even Mour’tisha knew. Tish stood up and shook the loose dirt from her paws. “Child, you have a lovely signing voice.” She smiled as she made her way to the lioness sitting far enough to show she wasn’t a threat.

Tish herself loved to dance, as well and sing some melancholy melodies every once in a while. She always appreciated someone who had the same taste in arts as herself. “It reminds me of a time mama killed a hare, such a lovely sound.

She gave another smile, “I’m Tish, and this is Cleo.” Cleo squirmed a bit, still unclear whether it was saying hello or squirming because it was back in the sun. “What brings you out here?

Ah! You! Njalo smelled you! Flashlight yellow gaze blinked wide with surprise, but equal the delight. Splashing recklessly through the watering hole in order to reach the other side and the lioness who had seated herself there. Nearly nose to nose with the dark figure by the time she finally stopped short, the now drenched Njalo'sasa giggled cheerily. You like Nja's.. singing? Nobody has ever said that before! But then.. Nja doesn't think anyone has ever heard Nja sing before....

Canting her head almost completely to one side in thought, one couldn't be quire certain exactly what was going on in that less than cohesive brain. When finally the quirky huntress turned her head back to it's proper position, she gave the plant curled around the stranger's arm a fascinated gasp. Cleo moved! Does that mean Cleo likes Nja? And Nja was hunting, but then Nja got lost.... Nja gets lost a lot.

She admitted with a sheepish grin, flicking her tail.

Tish stared wide eyed at the lioness, oh dear. She was so chipper, was she ill? Perhaps it was a curse, mama spoke of such curses or perhaps a plague. Maybe she was sent to torture her, oh how she would love that. She was happy she hadn’t had a good torture in a while. “Yes your signing is so horribly wonderful.” She smiled, Tish was pleased the see lioness seemed to be bit messed up in the head, maybe they were related. Oh joy!

Tish looked down at Cleo, “Yes it seems that Cleo does like Nja.” The dark lioness chuckled. “Where did Nja get lost, maybe Tish can help Nja.

Horribly wonderful? What an unusual way to phrase it, but Nja didn't mind. Praise was praise to her and the unfamiliar lioness had said she enjoyed her singing so the bongo marked female didn't think much more of it. Grinning at Tish's curious pet as she bent to get a closer look at it, water dripping from her chin onto the domed head for the flytrap looking plant. That's good! Nja likes to be liked!

Offering the creature a giddy lick, Njalo finally calmed down enough to settle on her pale haunches. Smiling brightly, Tish will help Nja find her way home? Nja's Abholi will be grateful! Maybe they will even let Tish stay if Tish wants! Busisa are treasured in Nja's pride. Dark Busisa especially! Nja comes from the Ithambo'hlabathi! But that's hard to say.. Nja prefers to say 'Bonelands' that's the other name Nja's pride goes by! Does Tish know it?

Tish tilted her head, busisa she didn’t know that but she was familiar with the bonelands. What kind of lioness would she be if she wasn’t? Tish was familiar with the Ithambo'hlabathi the Pepo'porojo. “Yes Tish knows the… ‘Bonelands’ she will be glad to take you.

Tish smiled, “Shall we leave now?” Cleo opened up her trap and closed it, instead it squirmed.

Tish tried to understand the lioness; she couldn’t fathom what is going on behind those golden eyes. But not many understood her that’s what made her an Ah’dumms. Not just an Ah’dumm, Mour’tisha Ah’dumms. “Perhaps I can hear more of your appalling singing on the way there.” The way the lioness sung made her miss mama and the precise way she loved to skin the smaller prey.

Yay! Nja is so glad! Nja was worried nobody knows Nja's home! The bonelands never see any visitors. Njalo misses meeting new lions! Despite such a melancholy statement the little female couldn't have seem more delighted, rising off her haunches to stand. A swiping gesture of her tail dusting the loose grass and dirt from her hind quarters as she waited almost impatiently for Tish to lead the way, prancing in place. Yes! Cleo agrees too!

Greatly amused that a plant could have some semblance of a personality was as exciting as it was intriguing. Head bobbing obligingly in response to the request, though the lioness cocked her lovely visage to one side in thought. But Njalo doesn't know any real songs.. what should Nja siiing?

That tune that sounds like a dying serval, it was so amazing.” Tish began walking in the direction of the pride. She would have to go find mama after she took the mental lioness to the safety of her pride. She reminded her of her cousin, if she wasn’t part of the family she would fit right in. She walked towards the driest area around it was only a mile or so away. “We will have you home before dark fall.” Tish smiled and her tail flicked back and forth.

Tell me about your family, does your pride do sacrifices, torture?” Oh gosh how she missed being tortured. Those were the days.

A dieing serval? Well, that was a strange thing to compare her singing to, but considering Njalo had never hunted serval or heard the death rattle of one it was certainly possible that it could have been the most beautiful sound in the world. She would have to take Tish's word on that, even if it seemed.. well.. a bit morbid. Jogging alongside Tish, she enjoyed the brush of their fur as she moved close to the other, glad for the companionship. It had certainly felt like the huntress had been traveling alone forever! Beaming at the midnight lioness with an almost awestruck expression, That's amazing! The Umama will be glad if Nja is home before dark! hey get mad if they have to send out a search party to find Nja.

Ducking her head guiltily, it was obvious that such an embarrassing ordeal had happened more than once before. Not that her attention lingered long on such thoughts, often she was so glad to be found that she forgot to feel ashamed for causing the pride so much trouble. At least until one of the Umholi chewed her ear off. Nja's family? Nja's momma came to the Ithambo to have her, but she's not there anymore. Nja doesn't know why.. the Umama Nombuso raised Nja so she's like Nja's momma now! Sacrifices? Nja has never heard of anything like that.. the Abholi aren't kind to rogue males though. They get really mad if strange lions show up and they don't really like when Nja tries to talk to them, but Nja just wants to know where they've been and what they've seen..

As they continued towards the bonelands, Nja continued to ramble aimlessly. Happy to talk considering that, for once, someone was actually listening.
