Her next goal was to get these keys, which were safely hidden in the open cavity in her torso, to Malodore as fast as possible. The quicker the Plague Doctor had them, the quicker she could get her new body, right? The thought made her both incredibly excited and terribly frightened; what if something went wrong? What if they couldn't build the body? No, no...Malodore and Christof, that was their element, they could build the body, and they would build it properly and perfectly and...oh Jack. What if she couldn't get out of this one? What if she couldn't get into the other one?! Every step she took towards the undead dorms was really just another step into a frenzy of self-doubt.
Needless to say, she was pretty worked up by the time she got to Malodore's door. It received a knock, then another, and a third...perhaps the Plague Doctor was not in? Of course, it didn't confine itself to it's room all the time! Yet she waited there anyway, her brain flitting between her A-HoLs, Advanced Hob Laboratories mantra, and the ever-looming self doubt that Riley and a few other friends had been trying to ease her out of. When it became clear that the Doctor was not returning soon, she pressed her lips together thoughtfully and headed back to her room, scribbling a note on a piece of paper.
"Dear...Malodore..." She murmured to herself slowly, her reversed hand dragging the pen across the parchment painfully slowly. "I...went...to...doctor...hyde..." Amrita continued on, verbally narrating as slowly as she transcribed. It was a grueling process that resulted in a lot of things getting crossed out, rewritten, looked up in the dictionary...but it was important, so she didn't mind the extra work.
Once it was finished she sat back and reread it, her gray eye staring at each word, each line, each tiny paragraph. Hopefully this would be okay...it made sense, right? Swaying a little bit as she mulled over her options, she decided to add a little note at the end; her skelephone number, in case there were questions to be had. Nodding a little bit at her work, Amrita abandoned the paper on her desk and went to sit in the middle of some burn marks on the floor, pulling out a notebook from under the bed. It was the notebook she used to write her notes for her new body; if she forgot anything Dr. Hyde told her, this might help her remember!
As it were it didn't help, so she got back to her backwards feet, picked up the paper that was destined for Malodore...
And then rewrote the whole thing, in a hopefully more legible scrawl.
Quote:
Dear Malodore;
I went to Dr. Hyde today. He was drawing something weird but I don't think thats important.
He gave me keys to the Advanced Hob Laboratories (he called them A-holes?) and said we could use that.
I don't think anyone will be there until 10th october.
He also said to ignore our conversation if the lab gets blown up or trashed.
He also said it would be best to not involve the teachers, unless I want to be an afro zombug ghoul.
I don't want to be an afro zombug ghoul.
-Amrita
p.s. if you have question, my skelephone number is 8-354-8666
Thank you!

The note was carefully folded so it ended up more crumpled than it should have been and then tucked away in a firepoof bag, just in case the Doctor was not in again. When she returned to Malodore's room she had DC with her, and after a nervous glance down at the little Fire Beast as he sniffed about the hallway and tried to gnaw on the baseboard of a corner wall, Amrita knocked again on the door. A second time, a pause, a Third, a pause, a fourth, a pause...yup, still out. Well...she couldn't just stay here, she had classes to attend to, sign language to study, practicing to do! But she couldn't just leave the keys and the note; what if someone else took them?! Oh Jack that would be absolutely terrible! Her attention moved to DC, who had found a skeletal rat to antagonize; she'd never seen her pet look so happy while tossing the squirming creature into the air, only to catch it again in his firey jaws. ...Oh hey, Lightbulb.
"...DC, come here, uh, boy!" She urged, and the moment she did the skeletal rat was dropped and ignored as it scampered away. Dc's look of absolute joy was obvious as he bounded over faithfully, sitting in front of the ghoul and wiggling in anticipation. Hee, Amrita called for him! So happy so happy best day ever!
"Umm...g-good boy, yes, uh..." One of her hands disappeared into her sari, producing a set of slightly gooey (which had nothing to do with her body) and flesh-sprinkled (this was once part of her body) keys. The keys were briefly wiped off on her bloody sari before getting tucked into the same bag the note was in. "I need you to stay here until Malodore comes back, okay?" Curling her lip in discomfort, Amrita knelt down and held out the back to her very faithful pet. "Okay? Nobody but Malodore can get this bag." She informed him seriously, her free hand waggling at him in a hopefully threatening manner.
DC seemed to understand and held the bag between his jaws before taking up his new post; sitting stone-still outside of Malodore's door, waiting for the Doctor to return.
