Their run-ins after prom hadn't been as frequent as he would have liked, although he would attribute a good bit of that to his 'job' and the prison he hadn't entirely been able to escape for the summer. Oh, there had been times when he'd managed to get a room under his father's name or the rarer occasion that his parents had come specifically to request a day or two with him... But it always ended the same; back at Hillworth.

It had gone much that way up until Demetri Wright had come to him with a proposition; one that he couldn't really refuse (he was beginning to notice a pattern). One week. One week they were going to spend away from Hillworth, away from Destiny City in order to travel to the happiest place on earth.

Count. Him. In.

He had sent Lysander one text message letting him know that he was heading out of town for a bit and he'd let him know whenever he made it back (leaving off the ever tempting 'if' he came back, knowing damn well he'd have to one way or another), and then he had starting packing, making certain that his father's credit card was tucked safely away in his wallet before heading for the airport.

Cordelia Carden had, somehow, also found herself roped into this trip. She was more than certain that Demetri hadn't intended to invite her along when he had come to visit, but something about how sad she had seemed; how vacant the look in her eyes had been... And she was coming along for the ride.

Unlike the others, who seemed to be dawdling, Cordelia had already checked both of her bags (one of which included an extra suitcase tucked inside to bring extra things home in) and was now waiting patiently at the terminal, slowly sipping the latte from the overpriced coffee stand. The flight wasn't supposed to be a long one and once they'd landed, and gotten settled, she was looking forward to spending a good bit of time outside in the sun, soaking up rays and baking away her worries... Without the added on calories of doing actual baking.

He still wasn't quite sure how he'd been convinced to be drug on a plane and flown for hours to run around an amusement park full of people. Yet here he was paying for a carry-on because there was no way that he was letting his camera bag go in cargo and wondering why Cordelia had asked him to come.

Sure he didn't get out all that often but he -liked- being at home. He wasn't sure she was right in her conviction that he needed to socialize more. Besides who knew what was going to happen with the Negaverse situation while they were gone.

Once they finally handed him over the recpeit for his bag he headed over to figure out where his cousin had ended up. ".... did you get me one too?"

Cordelia held up the chai latte that she had purchased for her cousin without looking up from the tablet in her lap, browsing through the various flight schedules quickly before flipping to the weather. "Sun, sun, scattered showers... And sun. This is going to be good for us, Lucien, I just know it." At least that's what she was going to keep telling herself, one way or another; that it would be good to get away from Destiny City and the danger... Not to mention the death.

She had tried to include her thoughts on all of that when she'd let her cousin know that he would be accompanying her on this little trip, but it had been about as easy to explain as the bruises she had been trying to hide at the time... Thank God the one on her side had faded away enough that she wasn't going to feel too uncomfortable lying outside to catch some sun in a bikini, at least.

Sure, that was the least of her worries.

He paused somewhere down the corridor as he caught sight of Cordelia; not because of Cordelia herself, of course, he knew well enough how to deal with her by now. No, it was the sight of the young man standing beside her that had caused him to stop mid-stride.

Rikard took a deep breath before re-routing himself to the coffee stand, getting something for himself before heading over to join the small group that had gathered together. "So now we're just waiting on the host and the plane. Good to see the gang's all here." He grinned, taking a slow sip of his mocha.

He took the latte and took a sip. At least she had remembered what sort he liked and it was sweet enough for him to stand. "Sun means there is going to be a lot of people there you know." Which would make actually getting around the parks a bit of a chore and getting good pictures almost impossible.

At she hadn't asked him about his ankle yet. He hadn't really told her about that one, just avoided her while he couldn't walk, and he knew it was going to come up when someone saw his leg.

He had been about to ask her about whether she really wanted to go lay out in the sun when he heard a familiar voice. Cordy hadn't said Rik was coming along too. "Plane is on time at least."

"Good. I hate late flights." He rolled his eyes as though late flights were something he had to deal with on a near daily basis, managing to summon a smirk for a brief moment just before he brought his cup up to his lips to take a slow sip.

"So we're just waiting on Deme-- Demy and the plane?" His brow quirked as he glanced down to Cordelia, looking quickly back up when he realized that 'glancing down' included a nice view of her rack spilling out over the top of her blouse. While it was a nice view he could still feel his face heating and he knew well enough she'd just hit him if she caught him so much as peeking, never mind full out oogling.

"Something like that." She shook her head slowly as she shifted to uncross her legs, leaning down so that she could pull a hair tie out of her carry on bag before pulling her tresses back off of her shoulders. "The two of you aren't going to be incredibly awkward with one another all weekend, are you?"

"We're being awkward?" He blinked and looked between Cordelia and Rikard for a moment. He hadn't thought he'd said anything weird and Rikard seemed to be doing alright. It wasn't like they weren't friends. He still texted Rik when he could remember to text anyone (which wasn't often).

"Didn't Demy say he was going to be here around now? Did you tell him which gate?" He wasn't sure he trusted the blond to check his ticket instead of just wandering.

"He knows where he's supposed to be meeting us. At least he does if he checked his ticket, or his phone." He was certain that, of the two, Demetri Wright was more likely to have checked his phone so he'd been sure to text the blonde to let him know which gate they were supposed to be meeting at.

"I'd actually be a bit more worried about whether or not he made it through security. I mean... I don't know if they count the liquid in glowsticks as something safe to bring on a plane." He managed a smirk. "We could always have him paged."

"No. Absolutely not." Her eyes narrowed slightly as she glanced at Rik. "Demetri has to be responsible for some of his own actions sometimes, you know. He'll get here one way or another..." And it would either be right on time or he would be the last person on the plane, elbowing his way past other passengers to find the only seat that was left. "Or we'll just enjoy the trip without him."
PostPosted: Mon Aug 15, 2011 11:54 am

"Might not be a bad idea to at least text him to say we are all here. Since he's the last one." He'd have appreciated a text if he was running late. Though the odds of that were almost impossible. It would still mean that Demetri had to be responsible to get there himself.

"He's bringing the glowsticks? Somehow i think those will get confiscated. given all the odd things they do that to'

"I can HEAR you calling me that name you know! It sets off little warning bells in my head like some kind of crazy Spider-sense, except...it's a Demy-sense. Either way. STOP CALLING ME THAT."

Cue one Demetri Wright, scrambling his way onto the scene looking just a bit frazzled. It was also possibly the first time that some of them had seen him sans his trademark glowsticks. He didn't seem so pleased about that.

"They took my glowsticks man, can you believe that? Said it was too much liquid or something silly, like I'm seriously going to make a glowing bomb of all things. That'd only be cool if it blew glowing liquid all over. Dude...that'd actually be pretty sweet!....BUT STILL, they took them man, so not cool. Not cool -at all-."

Maybe the novelty glowstick gun had been a bad idea.

"See? Look. He made it here just fine all on his own." She nodded as she gazed up at the boarding sign before shifting to her feet, adjusting her bag on her shoulder before reaching for her wheeled carry-on. "With perfect timing at that. They're ready for us." She gestured towards the gate before making her way over, leaving the boys all to gather their things. She was not waiting for them, not at all.

"How about we ix-nay the talk about how cool a glowing bomb would be until after we don't need to rely on a plane to get us somewhere?" He smirked, giving Dem a nudge before snatching the blonde's bag along with his own. "Let's go. Ready, Luc?"

He shifted his bag on his shoulder and shook his head slightly. "As long as we're not talking about anything even remotely dangerous. I really don't want to get patted down before we get on the plane."

He grinned slightly as he followed after his cousin. He still wasn't sure how fun this whole thing would be but it would be ruined if they got stopped from the flight because of a glowstick bomb discussion.
