I'm trying to get high rivalry with her because I've heard that (spoilers) she will come back after stealing the tome if she has high friendship or rivalry.
I'm getting +5 rivalry here and there, but nothing that gets really high rivalry.
Are there certain quests that I can use to get high rivalry?
Can I just be really really mean to her when I talk to her and get it that way? XD

I seriously have no idea. Every time I tried to get rivalry points I would someone manage to get friendship ones. No matter how hard I tried to upset her she still liked me... I couldn't understand sweatdrop

Same here! I was as mean as possible to her, I told her to forget the relic and Castillon, and that I'd only help if we maybe had time, and I got 5 friendship! D:< WTF, Isabela? Is there any way that you don't frustrate me?

rofl i have no idea how to do it either. i think if you don't do her friend (at the hanged man)'s quest, then maybe you get some rivalry? i can't remember.

aside from kicking her in the teeth, there's not too much you can do to piss her off. xD

Hmm. I can't think of any specific moment that you can get a bunch of rivalry points with Isabela. You can always look through the Dragon Age 2 Wiki.

But I believe you can gain rivalry by being uptight, as in being a jerk to her and have no sense of humor. Also if you're too giving to people, if you never ask for payment/bribe it'll annoy her.

Edit: I should add to that last bribing part. This is the case most of the time. Except when it comes to slaves and cases similar. Being nice and caring to them makes her happy.

i know this is super late but i was just looking threw the guild... i find the easiest way is to keep Aveline and Izzy in the party and always side with Ave .. be a goodie goodie and agree to missions but always be rude to her take her on all missions and if she messes up be mean about it
