Hello Everyone,

Welcome to the "Dragon Lance" RPG. This will be the 4th RPG on this Guild. This RPG will run similar to the other 3 RPG's on the "Anime Role Playing Games Home" sub forum. For guild members that would like to try out a Dungeon and Dragons RPG, "Dragon Lance" RPG is the one for you.

Please use the "First Time D & D Character" Topic and "Character Creation Form #3" to create characters for use with this RPG. Also read all of the topics in the "Dungeon and Dragons RPG Home" sub forum before creating characters and posting to the "Dragon Lance" RPG.

RPG Type: Dungeon and Dragons

Theme / Description / Setting: Dragon Lance is set back in the Middle Ages. I have the Start Date as July 9th, 752 AD. Dungeon and Dragons itself goes back to the real life 1970's and has around 40 years of rich history. Using movies like the "Lords of the Rings", the two Dungeon and Dragons movies, a lot of Video games based on the time period, and even the Harry Potter Movies as reference their is plenty of material to base Role Playing on. In this RPG I would like to keep things simple and imaginative at the same time. Keep in mind that as Game master I will often refer to the stats of the characters to determine the outcome of an encounter. Refer to the "Dragon Lance" Dungeon and Dragons RPG Info Topic as needed when posting.

My intention is to have the characters in this RPG to explore and help create the Dragon Lance town and the other provinces and towns in the area. Many RPG's already have everything setup for you and rich lands setup. In this RPG the imagination is the limit. In this RPG your characters can be hurt badly and possibly die. Their is an option to restart or retry a quest attempt if a D & D group member dies. If an adventure or quest is finished then all of the characters go up a level.

Character Types: Fighter, Cleric, Mage, Thief

NPC Character Types: Same as the Regular Character Types above. Also General town folk (Store, business, Inn, Sheriff & deputies, & restaurant employees, school children, relatives, etc). Also a vast array of creatures of all types from the Dungeon and Dragons World.

Weapons, shields, useful items, magic, psioncs, etc: Refer to the "Dragon Lance" Dungeon and Dragons RPG Info Topic.

Location: Dragon Lance Tavern, July 9th, 752 AD. The adventurers gather at the Tavern to start missions and quests.

Mission / Quests - Many Quests will be created for D & D groups to try as time goes on.

Note: If I don't have a character in play I will have a Game Master help move things along as needed.

General RPG Rules: Posts around 150 words or longer within reason, follow Gaia TOS and Rules & Regulations, PG13 in Nature, Some gore & battle damage (Please don’t overdo).

Make sure to read all previous posts after your last post to see if another character (Regular or NPC) wants to interact with your characters (Use tags in your posts for specific characters), and to keep track of the progress of the journey / quest.

Note JP’s (Joint Posts) can be done: Two or more characters can do private messages back and forth to build the JP and then post it noting which characters were used. (Please don’t make JP’s too long and use a reasonable amount of time to make sure that the JP characters are able to keep up with the rest of the group). Make a title for your post.

Also beware of the date and passage of time. Dates will most likely be noted in my characters posts. Please post regular & typical RPG posts. Don’t do silly posts or ones that mess up the ongoing story lines, Plots, Feel free to post interactions between your characters.
