Ness had been passing by fluttering about. She had been keeping to herself for what had felt like years. She knew that there wasn't any good in just doing nothing. She needed exercise, to stretch her wings, her legs... She was young still after all. She definitely wanted to help her body stay athletic and able. She kept hoping some manner of adventure would fall into her lap.
Her mood as of late had been driving her out into the various populations of noodles seeking out some type of friendship or companionship. Not romance of course. Yick.. Ness wanted to stop and spit somewhere when that word passed her mind. She definitely wasn't looking, hoping for, or hardly even wanting to have that sort of find. She just wanted the pleasure of being around someone else.
She stopped for a moment to rest as a flicker of color passed her eye. She knew she had at least seen what looked like a demonic wing. That was the wing of the types her parents had always hoped she'd stay away from. Well, if that wasn't motivation to approach that noodle, there wouldn't be much other greater than that. Since having fled her childhood home feeling like a misfit; she always loved to meet noodles she thought her parents might not like at all. She then scampered off to follow behind him from a short distance.

Zulim was off and scampering again. He hadn't exactly been awake when he'd been booted out of the house at that hour, but it was better than listening to the headache that was that idiotic pink ninny, and her rainbow glitter son. And the purple thing that had decided to make itself at home with its' dragon familiar....was a terrible terrible idea.
So here he was outside for the day and hunting down something to munch, despite not really wanting to eat since he wasn't hungry. He spotted a bush and smiled lazily, "Nap time." His eyes narrowed as he stalked over to the bush, then jump flapped up to the top of it, and started making a nice comfortable bed for himself. He was nocturnal dammit, and his house seemed to be early birdies that needed to be eaten.
He sighed as he got comfortable, his tail lazily flopped over the edge, sure he was an easy target, but he didn't care. Sleep was calling to him, despite the flash of blue and the noise he half heard.

Ness followed that blur of teal. He didn't really seem to pick up on that she wasn't too far behind. She was surprised a little. She tried to anticipate for what reasons he might not notice. Maybe he was sick? drunk? or maybe all together not paying attention? She fluffed up her camoflauged tail of blue, white, and gray as she moved up behind a tree to watch where he was headed.
She peered curiously when she saw him go into a bush. Why would anyone hide in a bush?? Did he live there? NO way... Not with all the lavish homes about in this noodle world. Well, she was having the darndest time trying to wait and see. After she had waited a few moments, it didn't seem like he was coming out. well, he couldn't have gone in there just to use the restroom since he wasn't back out yet.
She couldn't help but wonder what on earth he was doing. She then crept up quietly to the bush. She tried to quietly part some of the bush branches apart to look in. Aw... well if that didn't just beat all. Her eyes glossed over at the sweet sight of a noodle drifting off to sleep. And.. only if she could have thought so enough to not be a bother.
well, she thought she would try her best not to be one. Still, she slipped her whole body inside hte bush. she was trying not to crowd him. She just layed in a space opposite of him. She laid her head on the ground to watch him as he was drifting off.

He hadn't been awake enough to tell he was being followed, oh of course not, that damn racket had driven him out, so he curled up comfortably, unwise to the curious female that had followed him.
Soon he could feel he was being watched, that sort of eerie tense sensation crawled along his fur, one dark teal eye opened to peer at what was watching him, Female....small...MEH. His eye closed and he spoke in a low tone, "If you're going to watch me sleep, let me use you as a pillow, and keep an ear out for large things that might try to eat us." If she was going to sit there, she might as well be of some use rather than just making his fur stand on end.

Ness had been watching him out of her eyes blue as sapphires and just as glittery. They looked darker in the shade. she had been keeping an eye on him sleeping and his movements. Though she was watching and his eye opening wasn't a surprise nor did it sneak up on her. Still, it spooked her a little. She flinched and pulled her head up straight. that was quickly followed by a little blush of embarrassment.
She moved her head down to look away. "Oh. well, sorry...about waking you. I was trying to be quiet.."
Then, when he had said she should just be his pillow. She tried to think of anything else she needed to do or somewhere to be. Still, nothing came to mind, and since she didn't wanna be dishonest making something up. She thought maybe it'd be ok.
"Um.. sure.. I can be your pillow. At least.. I hope i'm comfy enough to be a good one. I can keep an eye out good enough as anyone . I know i'm angelic. That doesn't mean I can't keep a good eye on us. but... since you're not totally asleep yet. Can I ask why you wanna sleep in a bush? I'd think it's not the most comfy place for that."

Zulim smirked when she apologized, it wasn't unusual for others to be intimidated, however she surprised him when she chose to be his pillow. Unusual little female he'd run into here, but it was still fairly normal. He wondered why it was she felt it necessary to point out she was an angelic.
Brushing that aside, he quirked a brow at her question, "It's better than being an a house with early birds who blare racket at ungodly hours of the morning. I am nocturnal, and slept outdoors many a night before I found the house I reside in. So opting for a bush is a wiser idea than plotting the murder of my house mates." He smirked a bit devilishly as he spoke. It wasn't something he'd seriously consider, but it was something entertaining to think on now and then.

Ness scooted around to position herself in a way that would be convenient for him. she listened to his account. She nodded as he said it. "I suppose that is the upside to living and being alone. There isn't anyone to do anything you don't like. Thanks. Just when I was starting to feel that maybe I was missing out on something by not living with anyone. I feel rather enlightened."
As she tried to lay in a position that might make the best pillow, she replied to the other part of his statement. "Yeah. I like being out at night myself. I love music and dancing. Most anywhere that has any that's halfway decent doesn't usually open to the public till after dark. I'm usually not even up this early. I guess I was bored since I wasn't even sure what to do with myself."
she thought to herself about what terrible noodles he must live with who like to make such a life and living in the earlier hours of the day. She hoped she wasn't intruding on him then; though she decided not to ask. She didn't want to be told she was being annoying. At least by letting herself be his pillow, she was being a little help.

Zulim sighed, "It's not terrible, just inconvenient, and irritating. Especially when you haven't got someone who's like you to even out the score." He mumbled and used her as a good pillow.
He sighed and actually drifted off, mumbling in his sleep, and not thinking that it might have been a bad idea to allow someone outside the house to assist in keeping an eye on him while he slept.

As what felt like the whole afternoon or at least a few hours passed, nothing consequential happened. She then just kind of mulled over his comment of having someone like her to even out the score. She kept mentally chewing on the comment. That sure sounded like a compliment.
After a while, she thought it sure did feel nice to even just lay with someone. She wondered to herself if her stubborn insistence to live alone was doing her more harm than good. she started to think to herself that maybe having someone like this zulim around even if it wasn't for romantic reasons; that wouldn't be so bad.
She then also wondered if something like that works. Can you find a rewarding friendship and companion that won't somehow require you to invest yourself emotionally? Or play the "let's pretend that true love is real" game?
then, after some more time, she turned her head to look at him. He sure seemed nice enough while he was asleep. she flicked her tail around, so it'd drape over him like a soft blanket. she hoped it wouldn't wake him up.

Zulim smiled in his sleep as she tossed her tail over him like a blanket. It was comforting in his sleep, and it was oddly nice. Not that his dreams were particularly dark, but the extra warmth brightened them a little more.
As the afternoon faded into twilight, he stirred a little, opening one dark teal eye to find that female from earlier was still there, he gave a small smirk, and stretched, finding her tail over him like a blanket, "Well that was nice of you." He was much cheerier, and well rested, "You didn't have to stay the whole time, but I do appreciate it." He'd grown a bit more soft in his older age, if it had been his younger days, he would have been gruff and chased her off first thing, but at this point he was more than accustomed to others around him, despite his complaining so often.
Being polite he looked at her, "Is there somewhere I should be walking you back to so you're not out too late?" Most day noodles didn't like wandering at night, especially not alone, and since she'd made sure he wasn't intruded upon during his nap, it was the least he could do.

Ness slipped out of his bush and stretched out. After some deliberate and dramatic stretching, she turned around poked her head back in. "You don't need to take my anywhere. Sometimes I fly if I have to be in a hurry, but I actually don't need to be anywhere before dark. It so happens... that I like being out late at night.. seems like that's where some of hte more interesting things happen. I will probably just go look for some trouble. I mean.. I'm no young noodle."
Or, in her mind, not trouble in terms of actually getting in trouble; Ness was just hoping to find stuff to do to abate her extreme boredom. She smiled at him. "Hey... anytime you need a pillow.. I will be happy to help...." She winked at him. "Nessies are good at doing other stuff with their tails too.. not just being pillows and blankets."
Then, she momentarily reflected inside as to whether that made her sound like she was trying to hit on him. She decided to just act normal and not make a big deal of it. Maybe he wouldn't interpret it too badly.

Zulim laughed a bit at her dramatic stretching, then her obvious silliness of offering to be a pillow again. He quirked a brow at her second comment, figuring since she was young enough she might have accidentally hit on him, "So Ness is your name I would figure, and I'm sure you'd make an excellent partner for going out and painting the town red." He grinned a bit, figuring they'd have fun driving other noodles a little crazy, especially with her being a night dweller like he was.
He stood and exited the bush, smirking as he introduced himself to this odd little stranger, "I'm Zulim, a much more nocturnal demon than most, and I am very glad to have had your assistance in getting my much needed rest." He spoke and gave a flourishing sort of bow, his wings folded nicely, and his long tail swept out of the way, "Since you are up for a late evening, if you would like I can escort you around to some of the more interesting areas." Figuring it was the least he could do since she didn't want to go home.

With widening eyes, she watched and took in all his habits. How polite he was. How he did all those gentlemanly type things. She seemed to be running into these types of people. She smiled than started to suck on her bottom lip as she licked it over in thought.
"Yes. I am Ness. I sometimes refer to myself as Nessies in 3rd person. Not sure why I do that. Maybe since I'm not really used to referring to myself when speaking to others since I don't always get out and socialize nowhere as much as I probably should."
Was that ever an understatement. She was usually keeping to herself indoors at home.. She was having a little musing over she could ... 'paint the town red?' That's what he said, right? She hadn't heard that expression before, but it sounded like having fun.
"Oh SURE! I love doing anything that means having fun.. especially if it's at night." Her wings spread for a moment as she was pondering how much fun they might get to go have. "It's been a while since I ... um... did something like that."

Zulim smiled rakishly and turned to start walking down the road, he wasn't at all disturbed about her referring to herself in the third person, or being less social than most, it was a good trait in his mind.
When she agreed to join him he thought of the many places they could go, and began listing them off as he thought them up, "We could find a dance party, or find a bar to go to, perhaps an amusement park, I heard those are lively at night. Maybe there's a rave going on..." He continued thinking, "what would you like to do for the evening, Ness? Anything you've always wanted to do, but haven't had a chance to?" In an odd way he wanted to make sure she had fun. It wasn't that big of a deal, just showing his appreciation for her assistance, and being friendly without being interested in anything else. Far too many female noodles were interested in more than that, and Ness clearly wasn't.
