With a sigh Ai sat down beneath a tree and opened her book. Her mother had been following her around like a puppy with its tail (or tails in her case) between it legs. She just couldn't take it anymore. Knowing her mother didn't enjoy bright light she decided to take refuge outside. Now she could finally be in peace.

It had gotten to the point that it was completely and utterly overwhelming. Even though he enjoyed learning things, learning about people, especially so many people at the same time, was not one of his favorite things to do. He wandered about outside, it seemed far less likely that he would be bothered out here. The sun was high in the sky, it was a little on the hot side, and he loved it. Heat had always been something he thoroughly enjoyed.
His eyes flicked about the path he was on, so far so good... As soon as the thought crossed his mind however, he spied someone. This someone was reading a book though, would she notice him? Or could he go on without having to deal with someone that was potentially harmful? He slowed a little, attempting to walk more quietly, bare feet made it easy, but the ring on his toe he usually donned did not.

Ai tried to read her book, but an annoyingly slow 'tap' started bothering her. Unable to ignore the pestering noise she looked up in annoyance to find the source being a ring on the toe of a male who was walking by.
"Hey, buddy!" she called out. "Either pick up the pace or stop moving. That tapping is kinda annoying. I came out here to stop being annoyed." As she spoke she surveyed him. He sure dressed funny. Looked like he should be in a band, or something. She pushed her glasses up her nose as she waited for his response.

Apollo froze, looking at her and then eyes flicking back the way he had come. Maybe he should just turn around and go back the way he came. But... He was interested in knowing what book she was reading, he was always looking for a new book to read and he should apologize. He debated for a moment longer and cautiously approached her, taking care not to step too heavily to avoid the tapping as much as possible. "Sorry, I... Uh... Was trying to sneak past without bothering you."

She stared up at him, not looking pleased. "What's with people always trying to 'sneak' by? Why can't anyone just man up and walk around. I probably wouldn't have even noticed you if you had just walked by like a normal person. No one seems to be able to do anything though, everyone always afraid of upsetting others." she said with a roll of her eyes. Now he was talking to her. Looks like her book would have to wait. That is, unless this guy turned out to be utterly useless. Then she would just leave and find someplace else to have some peace.
