Setting this thread up for any ideas people had. The questions are basically what do you want from this guild?

What are you looking to get from this guild?
What are you wanting to see from this guild?
Is there anything you feel is missing?
Can we as a guild do anything to help you out?

Really, you can talk about anything here. I just want to know who's still alive and whatnot. Whatnot. That's a funny word. lol

I used to be about here a lot, never talked to many people, but rp'd a far amount on old characters and such.
Now I have never explored this guild fully, due to my awareness of my rp'ing skills.
I went foir the guild, as obviously people who WANT TO LEARN are going to be more committed, hence more of a family enviroment and constant experiance.

I was just wondering; a huge part of rp'ing is character creation, and building fully fledged characters.
On other sites and such I have run chracter discussion/creation/building thread.
Providing advice, skele's and the ability to ask me whatever questions may be needed to improve the characters of those who genuinely want to make them realistic.
This is inclusive of appearances/pasts/relationships/character flaws the whole lot.

I don't know whether we have any topic threads based on that in this guild, but I have been rp'ing for several years; and I do in fact enjoy creating characters possibly more so than rp'ing with them.
So if this idea were to be considered as a solid thread, I would love to run it; or if I am not trusted, or it is easier for you to allow someone else; I would at least like to help.

Actually, I've had a section of the guild set aside for stuff like that. Advice Board. No one person has been in charge of it. I always try to enforce the "help each other out" route.

Thing is, if one person is in charge of any one area, and then say they don't get on for a while (what? I wouldn't be talking about myself at all here...) then that section ends up in disrepair. But, if you wanted to help people who post there (which haven't been that many), I wouldn't stop you.

You know what? Most people just PM me to look at their character profiles. Even though I have had that section up for a while. But I don't think many people actually looked in that subforum to help other people... even if they did post in there. sweatdrop

You actually mentioned this in the Guild announcement, I believe that the forums really need to be cleaned up. What makes me inactive in the roleplaying aspect of this guild is that most posts were from a really long time ago. So I don't know which to reply to.

If the forum gets cleaned and up to date, I'm sure it will be much easier for people to get their rp's going. It's always so nice to start from a blank slate.

Then I think I'll try to remove all threads that haven't gotten a post in over a year. Sounds good?

Might take me a while. I have to literally go into each thread and move it to the recycle forum. It is going to take me a while so be patient.

Some of the older ones I'm going to keep. Maybe change the event forum to the honored dead? Keep some of them more collected?

As a hint, to everyone here. I never will delete a thread (unless it breaks ToS of Gaia). I just move them all over to the Recycled forum. You can find many old role plays in there if you ever need brainstorming ideas.

I used to be a rather active member of this guild before my old account got hacked. When I was able to come back though, everything looked like it had died. There's only two relatively active rp's still going, and they're old as hell lol That's a good thing though in some cases. I agree with both the people who have already posted. A thread or forum with the sole purpose of helping people create rpc's is a wonderful idea. I had something like that set up in another guild. If anyone needed help or ideas on what kind of pc to make, I would help them. There were time when I even created the whole thing for them based off some general guidelines they provided. I really think that, if something like that isn't already set up, it coulld be of great help. The other point that was made is also a good one. There's so much old stuff that's no longer in use, it's hard to figure out what threads and topics are still active and are worth posting in. It also is an eye sore for new members who are having trouble finding things due to all the cluter. I honestly think a guild wide revamp could be done to clean everything up without closing the guild for any reason. If you need any help with it, I'll be more than willing to be of service.

Not only the forums but what about cleaning up the main front page and clearing out the old Hello threads an such?

Sure. Give it a cleaned up look. Already cleaned out the Basic Role Play forum of anything not marked as being updated in this year...

I'll just do that for the whole guild just about. Anything not updated in this year will be moved to the recycled bin over time. Unless it's an info thread or announcement or something important.
