Moure was out for a jog, an activity he usually participated in when he had spare time, when he got the distinct feeling that something was going to go wrong. He wasn't exactly sure why such a feeling had come over him, but it was there none-the-less.

The patchwork continued on his jog, half-thinking that maybe he could out-run his worried feeling. The Runner didn't get those feelings often since coming to the Academy, so he wasn't exactly sure why he had one today.

Moure decided to look around and take in his surroundings while he was jogging. Perhaps the wind on his face or the patterns in the leaves of the gnarled trees could put his mind into some kind of ease and let the unwanted feeling just slip away.

Moure took in a deep breath (even though he didn't completely need to) and tried to clear his head. It was working, he felt the feeling starting to slip away...

And then he head the extremely unwanted sound, one he recognized automatically.

The sound of stitches ripping.

Moure barely managed to catch his left arm as it's stitching snapped. It had been a while since he'd redone the stitches to his shoulder, he hadn't changed them since Prom, after all, and apparently it was that exact moment that they wanted to snap. Moure wasn't sure why that arm just never stayed on for too long (since the rest of him was almost always in one piece) but it frustrated him greatly. With his arm off, he wouldn't be able to perform any more Errands until he could get it fixed, and he couldn't fix it until he went back to his dorm, which was on the other side of the school by now.

Moure realized with a slight groan that he'd need someone to hold his arm to his shoulder while he sewed it back on, too. Usually his boogeymon did that for him, but Gibralter was back in his dorm, along with his supplies.

The Runner stopped jogging to look around, hoping against hope that perhaps someone around here would have a needle and thread he could borrow. (If he's realized his stitches were so loose in his shoulder, he would have brought some himself, but still, some other undead might have some on them.)

This was definitely not his best jog.

Perhaps it was because she was leaving for home tonight and won't be back in school for a while, but Lizzy felt rather sentimental all of a sudden and had decided to take a stroll around school; it was difficult to believe that it had almost been a year since her enrollment... Then again, so much had happened since then that it almost felt like it had been longer than just a year.

It was an uninterrupted stroll, and she was just enjoying some time with her own thoughts when she saw someone jogging in her direction; while new students were common nowadays, especially after that previous field trip, this one caught her eye because... Well, because of two reasons.

1. He was a patchwork, and the only patchwork she knew was Christof, which she was still a little wary of despite his "better" behavior nowadays.
2. This patchwork was holding onto his own arm.

She paused, stopping in her tracks to stare at the boil, wondering if she should approach him to see if he needed any help with reattaching his arm... She carried around a spool of thread and needle, after all, in case of emergencies! Then again, she had no idea if there was a difference between sewing flesh and sewing fabric, and she did not want to blotch it up.

"H-hello!" She finally that asking would be the best way to go about it, "Do you need help with, uh, that?" She gestured briefly at his detached arm before offering the boil a small, sheepish smile.

Moure noticed someone else on the path, probably someone out for a walk or a jog or something. He noticed them pause in the middle of their stroll, but his attention was more focused on the severed arm in his hand than his exact surroundings.

It was then that he noticed the other student coming toward him. The ghouls seemed to be a little cautious of him, for some odd reason, but she spoke up none-the-less.

As she greeted him, Moure noticed the spool of some sort of thread that she had on her, and his hopes raised considerably. "Hello." He said, simply since it was usually good to greet others who greeted you. At her offer to help, Moure gave a grateful and relieved nod. "I do actually..." He gave another nod, then looked around, to see if there was a bench or something to that extent around, unless they were going to simply sew his arm back on in the middle of the path. This was actually very suprising for him, since Moure hadn't really expected anyone to be around that would have a needle and thread on hand.

He spotted a bench just off to the side, and nodded in it's direction. "Would you mind if we sat? It'd probably be easier then re-attaching it in the middle of the pathway." He stepped to the side and over to the bench, waiting for her to come over. Realizing he hadn't introduced himself, he said, "I'm Moure, by the way." He'd never seen this ghoul before, so it was probably a safe bet to say that she had been enrolled much longer than him.

A thought suddenly occured to him, and he looked over at the spool-toting ghoul. "You wouldn't happen to have experience sewing up, well, flesh, would you? If you don't, I can show you how." He figured that if someone was carrying around a spool of thread, it either meant they really liked to sew, or they were practically a medic for undeads like himself.

"A-ah, of course!" She smiled, nodding as she walked over to the bench he had gestured to, sitting down and making herself comfortable. Despite being a Patchwork, the boil seemed... Pleasant and nice enough; perhaps she was jumping to conclusions too quickly? After all, Christof was the first Patchwork she had ever met, so it could be a 'Christof' thing rather than a 'Patchwork' thing.

Having sorted that out, Lizzy relaxed a little, her smile growing at the boil's introduction, "It's nice to meet you! I'm Lizzy... Could you be new to the school, by any chance?" She figured some small talk might be good.

She shook her head at the question, smiling sheepishly, "I did observe the procedure once, but... No, I'm afraid I had never tried it myself." She paused, eyes widening in surprise at the offer before looking mildly excited at the prospect as she took out a small box of needles from a pocket on her skirt, "I would love to learn if you are willing to teach! If I remember correctly, FEAR will help keep your, uh, arm connected to your shoulder as sew it back, right?"

After Lizzy had sat, Moure took a seat on the other side of the bench, still holding his arm. He studied the snapped stitches, frowning at them slightly. Perhaps it was because his arm had in fact come off many times in the past, but it seemed to have problems staying on nowadays, even if it was bound to him via his Fear and whatnot. This was at least the third time it had come off since he'd moved in his stuff when he was enrolled.

After the pink haired ghoul, Lizzy, introduced herself, he gave a nod. (He would have offered a handshake, but, his hand was currently occupied with holding his arm.) At her question, he gave another nod before answering. "I suppose I am. I was enrolled just before the Final Exams." That was usually a good way to phrase how long he had been there.

Moure watched as the ghoul grew excited with his offer of showing her how to sew up flesh. "It's no problem. I should be thanking you for offering to help me in the first place." It was the least he could do, considering she was the one with the needle and thread that would reattach his arm. At her statement of how usually fear helped an Part stay on during attachment, he gave another nod. His arm tended to...simply not want to stay on by only Fear though (which is why it usually fell as soon as the stitching broke). "Normally it should be like that, although I find trying to stitch it on more difficult when it's pressed on, as I personally am not particularly skilled with managing to curve the needle just right while it's going in the flesh and getting both Parts together correctly." He paused, raising his detached arm to his shoulder, leaving about an inch away. If he pushed it into where it should stick, it wouldn't correctly stay on long enough for him to re-stitch it. "From there I usually just pull the Parts together and knot it off."

An idea occured to the Runner, and he looked up at Lizzy with a slight nod back down to his arm. "Would you like to try stitching it on?" It would be good practice for her, after all, and if she was carrying around needles and thread, she probably could sew better than he could anyway. It would be a win-win situation. (Plus, if she needed to re-try, they could just try again. It's not like it was permanent or anything.)

it sounded like a good idea to him, anyway.

"Ahhh," So she was right about him being a new student! Well, relatively new anyway... Seemed like he had been here a while; there being no classes meant that she was unlikely to meet the newer students, so that might explain why he didn't look familiar to her.

"Oh, it's no problem at all!" She smiled, "I welcome new experiences~" So far, Moure had proven himself easy enough to get along with, which made her rather embarrassed for making assumptions before. She listened quietly as he explained how he normally does the stitching, giving a nod once he was done, "I see... Well, I don't imagine that it must be easy to stitch your own arm on..." His head and other hand must be twisted at an odd angle in order for him to even see where the stitching go!

"Can I? Really?" She blinked, obviously surprised judging from her tone of voice and the way her eyes were widened, "I mean... I would love it, if you don't mind the fact that, uh, I might not be very good at it, it being my first time sewing flesh..."

The ghoul's acknowledgement of him being a 'newer' student made the patchwork wonder how much longer she'd been enrolled than himself. Thinking of a question that might give him a good time range, he asked, "Were you one of the students to take a Final Exam?" That would tell him if she was from a time much eariler in the enrollment than he was, at least.

Moure gave a glad nod when she mentioned that she welcomed new experiences and that helping him was no problem. As she spoke after listening to his explanation, the Runner gave a nod and a slight chuckle to her statement. "It's not that bad, really. Although I usually need help with either someone stitching or holding my arm for me while I stitch." When he said this, the patchwork realized it was completely true. Every time his arm had come off, someone had been there to assist him. First Gibralter (his boogeymon), then Danny before they went to Prom, and now her. It was a good thing that Moure had no problems with accepting help.

"Of course." Moure said, a tad baffled himself by how surprised Lizzy was at his offer. He nodded down at his arm and said as an explanation, "It's usually a two-person job anyway, since someone's got to hold my arm so it doesn't fall, and someone else has to stitch." He gave another nod, back at her and her needles. "And I figure that I'd rather have someone who can see what they're doing and has experience sewing normal things, I assume you do, anyway, sew on my arm." He gave her a slight grin. "Plus, practice makes perfect, and all that jazz. I'd rather let you try it youself then just tell you how, you know? That way if you ever need to attempt stitching flesh again, you'll be able to. And I don't mind at all, since my stitches are usually haphazard at best. And if you don't like how the stitches are looking, it's not like we can't just snip the thread, pull it out, and try again." Was Moure seriously offering all of this? Yes, yes he was. It was helping another person, so Moure would let her try as many times as she needed to try to get the feel for sewing up flesh.

"Yes, I was," She giggled softly with a nod, "I've been a student here for... Almost a year now." She smiled as she said that; she had made plenty of good memories in this school, after all; even the 'not so fond' memories were ones she held close to her, seeing how she had made most of her closer friends by going through those trials and tribulations together...

"Oh...?" She tilted her head, "Does the stitching on your arm come undone often?" That was quite surprising... She was pretty sure with the FEAR acting as glue, patchworks don't require regular restitching; after all, the only time she had seen Christof needing any sort of restitching was when his body had been put through a lot of stress.

She listened without commenting, giving a nod once in a while to show that she was still listening. When he was done speaking, she took out one of the needles from the box, and quickly threaded it with a length of thread she thought would suffice; it was obvious that she was pretty familiar with the procedure. However, she hesitated for a moment as she turned to look at the boil.

"In that case... Mind holding your arm in place?" She smiled; she was feeling pretty nervous, even if Moure had already told her that she could just redo it if anything went wrong.

Moure gave a nod, remembering that a few others he knew seemed to be around that age, old enough to take some of the exams and what not. Oddly enough Moure actually hadn't heard about any of the stories of their field-trips, or anything to that extent. "Really? Well, got any tips for a new kid like me?" That last part was said with a slight grin, as if he was poking a bit of fun at himself for being a newer student.

Moure gave a partial nod at her question. "This is the...what, third time? I think? Probably the third time it's stitches have snapped since I was enrolled, which was around the time of the Open House..." Moure gave a frown at his arm, then spoke again, "But it's the only part that ever really needs re-stitching. The rest of me is always in good condition and I rarely have problems with Parts falling off. Actually, I can't even remember the last time something like that happened to any of my other Parts... Well, except my shoulder, but it's the only Part that ever has issues." He didn't want her to think he was made out of bad Parts and fell into disrepair easily. It was just that one seam on his arm that never wanted to stay connected. Weird.

After he explained, Moure watched the pink-haired ghoul as she seemed to expertly thread a needle. He was more confident with her stitching up his arm now that he'd seen evidence that she was experienced with a needle. At her hesitation, Moure looked over at her, then back to his detached arm.

"Oh, of course." He held it close enough to his shoulder that Lizzy shouldn't have too many problems with sewing it on. He gave a nod when he was ready, along with a slight grin, and said, "Have at it."

"Hm... Let's see..." She got up, hovering over where the stitches were supposed to go, still a little unsure on how to go about doing it despite Moure's attempts at reassuring her; well, small talk was good... It kept her mind off her worries, "For starters, try to avoid school field trips, especially if they're not mandatory - they're usually dangerous and may result in injuries, death or... Worse." She paused, readying herself before she stuck the needle through the boil's arm and shoulder, pulling the thread taut as gently as she could.

It didn't matter if he couldn't feel pain. She was internally wincing in his place.

The process was repeated as she went silent for a bit, focused on her task, trying to get used to the feel of putting the needle through flesh; it was almost like sewing through tough leather and... Surprisingly not that bad once she got the hang of it.

"It had issues ever since before you came here?" She asked, pausing in mid-stitch, "Hm... That's odd. Could it be the thread used...?"

The Runner let the ghoul look over the Part of him that needed restitching as much as she needed to. After all, she was helping him out, so he saw no problem with her taking her time. As Lizzy mentioned the school's field trips, Moure tilted his head questioningly. "Really? They're that bad? Where do they even send you?" Dangerous trips? Weren't the faculty supposed to teach and train the students, not send them to their apparent death? As the needle first pushed through, Moure looked at the place she was sewing. Already he could see that she was a much more experienced sewer than himself. Her stitches were neater than his by far.

As she sewed quietly, Moure simply watched. His admiration for her handiwork grew as the stitches took shape, looking orderly as opposed to his usual slap-dashery of sewing. It was almost as if someone as experienced as Cphira was sewing on his arm.

Moure gave a nod when she paused, feeling his arm slowly becoming more and more attached again from the ghoul's stitches. "It's just always been the problem Part, so to speak." He gave his good shoulder a shrug. "I have no idea why it it comes off though. It might've been the thread, maybe. I personally think that my arm just likes to taunt me by coming off at the most inopportune times." He frowned at the Part in question, remembered all the times it'd come off.

Of course, Moure would never actually do anything to his arm, and he did really care for it. It was the right size and build, and was of the perfect balance to allow him to Run the best he could. The only downside to the arm itself was that it could never stay on. The downside to actually losing his arm if it fell off was that then he'd have to write a letter to Dr. Cphira requesting another one, and he didn't want her to have the satisfaction of knowing that Moure had failed at something while he was away from her labratory.

"Well, the first time, they sent us to Christmas Town," She explained, although she sounded distracted due to her attention being on getting the stitches done right, "Which sounded pretty nice, since it was a place we only hear about in stories, but that place was terrible... Devoid of FEAR! There were these drunk trees, weird elves and crazy toys that attacked us too." She frowned at the memory before sighing.

"All that was nothing compared to the latest field trip though," Her frown deepened as she paused her sewing momentarily, checking the seams before continuing, "We were sent to an island with these false reapers whose weapons ate away at our FEAR - a lot of us... Died on that island. It was lucky that all of us managed to be FEAR healed at the end of that trip..."

If not, she could still be dead.

Shuddering at the thought, she relaxed, offering the boil a small smile once the topic turned to a much less depressing one, "I'm sorry it is causing you so much trouble... It does sound like the thread is the problem, but the rest of you seem fine..." So it might not be the thread after all?

"Christmas Town? Sounds like it's probably not the best place to be." After all, they were Halloween, and without Fear they were nothing. Her description of the place did not make Moure want to go there. Not at all. "How do you even get a tree drunk...?" Was one of the questions that managed to slip out, because quite honestly that baffled him quite a bit.

Moure could feel his arm's connection generally now, and wriggled a few of his fingers. They were functioning now, moving as he directed them. Good. It must've been the connection with thread. It made Moure wonder vaguely if that meant that if he had only one stitch left, he'd still be able to move his arm. He'd have to try that next time it came off, which hopefully wouldn't be for some time yet.

Her talk of the last field-trip made Moure's eyebrow raise. "They let you guys go to such a dangerous place? Was there even a point to the field trip?" He asked, then said a little hesitantly, "And, ah, I'm sorry if you 'died'...?"

He gave a shrug then, staring at his arm. "Yeah, I have no idea what's wrong with it. It might just be my own lack of good sewing skills, in all actuality." Which might be it, but his arm had had problems like that even when Cphira had sewed it. Maybe the Part just didn't like him?
