Secrets Known Only to Me
The daughter of a famous zoid pilot Solana grew up around the zoids that her father and his co workers so often had around. The pilots put up with her constant begging well and more often than not were happy to let her pretend to pilot their zoids, with her favorite being her father's own liger. Having constantly helped her father, and having constantly bugged the mechanic until the man told her that if she ever wished to have a zoid that was hers and hers alone she would have to be a pilot, she set herself to her studies. She flew through her classes, although it was still years until she discovered that their were airborne zoids. Her first encounter was actually with a Redler who had been on the loosing end of a battle. The poor thing was still active, although most of its armor, one wing, and most of its weapons were useless. It's pilot had been killed in action and it was less than happy about leaving it. After considerable coaxing and enough time that her farther came looking for her, she convinced the zoid to be hauled back to the mechanic who set to work with a minimal of grumbling. In all, her mother was completely against the thing, knowing what would happen, but there was little that would keep the girl from the zoid. It took nearly 2 years but eventually the zoid was repaired to the point where it would allow someone in the cockpit, although it had to be a specific someone. Since she has been addicted to the sky and lives for little else. One of her greatest dreams is to fly a Raynos or Stormsworder, but so long as it flies she is good.
...But I Must Warn You:
On the ground Solana is touchy to say the least. She has no use for talk of politics, and actually prefers not to talk about battles. In truth she finds talk to be annoying in general although if it turns to zoids she will chime in. She is even considered quiet. In the cockpit however she changes. She is relaxed and open. It is not uncommon for her to fly for hours on end and has no fear of her zoid's top speed. She is even known to ask around if there are any new modifications that would make it ever faster. In battle she is swift and deadly, fond of flying above range until she locks on target and dives, which is what has earned her the nickname falcon. Surprisingly however, she does not like to see a zoid hurt and will do anything in her power to prevent the zoid, or its pilot from being injured.
