This thread is for the Border patrol being conducted by Captain Winters and Sergeant Caymen. Authorized personnel only. ~~Tobias Winters~~ "My esteemed regards to the Heroes of the Sky and the brave souls on the ground. May you be forever safe, my love." Once all four members of Angel Team were aloft, 45,000 feet above sea level, Tobias radioed down to Jarid.
"Alpha One, this is Angel Lead. Your Guardian Angels are keeping an eye out, ready to soar into battle. Just say the word and the enemy will feel the might of Divine Wind from the mighty Storm Sworder."
Hellfire, off to Tobias' lower left, rolled her eyes. He tended to get poetic when in the air.
"Hey Archangel, I got a question for you."
Hellfire contacted Tobias on a secure, in-team channel. 101st standard operating procedure (SOP) stated that once a Pilot had his or her hands on their Zoid, they went only by callsign.
"Mind telling me what exactly we're doing with these jesters?"
Tobias chuckled, the sound relaying to the other two Storm Sworders.
"Don't worry about it. Just roll with the tide, Hellfire. These guys are some of the best ground pilots outside of SOG. Just don't tell them that or they'll start to slack off. They don't know it, but Hunter and his guys are out here right now. Tis why I picked this specific patrol. They don't know we're coming. So we'll get to see what they're made of."

Slade listened to Tobias and only gave a nod.
"Rodger, Angel Lead. So far so good."After a long pause, Slash opened up his radio.
"....I spy something that starts with an......S.""....Oh I wonder...Could it be SNOW!?" Hack barked, his eye twitching."How the hell'd you guess it so quick??""...You're a ******** idiot....""Can you two act any MORE like children!?" Hecker asked, looking at the two Zaber Fangs in front of him."Oh yeah, like you have reason to say that!""Oh yeah, like you have reason to say that!"Both barked at the same time back at Heckler, looking back at the Command wold. "...They bring up an excellent point.." Crosshair chimed in."SHUT IT!"

Tobias looked in that direction, the 3D radar drawing a box around the tiny speck of a Reder, zooming that box in.
"That's our Redler, Spade. Rage 2-2 is the the guy we're relieving."
Sure enough, the Redler dipped its right wing a little in a salute, then punched to Mach 1, headed east towards Ebinay.
"Alpha One, Archangel. We're within the border limit. Begin your move south."

((And then magically, it's fixed.)) "Roger." Slade replied as everyone in his team began moving southward. While the others followed Gray without doing much other than glancing at the border to look for movement, Crosshair was multitasking, making sure nothing was appearing on his radar along with Slade. "It's clean." Crosshair confirmed."So far so good. Much to Heckler's displeasure." Slade called out to Archangel with a chuckle.

~~Jhala Yadav~~ "Today we march to War, my Brothers! We March with our Swords, Our Guns, and Our Zoids. For Victory! Until Death!" "Come. The hunt is upon us." Though their prey couldn't hear him, his voice was hushed. His Liger Zero, painted to blend in with the snow, slowly stood up from its crouch, not bothering to shake the snow off. "Ambush, Solo, Thunder, Shack. Move out." From the snow, a Guysak popped up, its tail already raised. A mound of snow slid from the ridge, revealing itself to be a Command Wolf. From a wadi came a DiBison, followed by a Gordos. Every last one of them was painted the same color as the Zero. They began moving forward, the Zero in front, the Guysak to the right rear. The Command Wolf moved to the extreme left, slightly ahead of the Zero. The Gordos stayed behind the Zero, staggered to the left so when it fired, it wouldn't accidentally hit the Liger. And bringing up the rear was the Dibison, keeping back, ready to rain death and destruction down upon their targets. In the cockpit of the Zero, a large, red-haired man let the left corner of his mouth curl into an evil smile. "Bring the Thunder." The DiBison began firing its gun array...every shot aimed for the enemy formation. ((Ambushed!))~~Tobias Winters~~"My esteemed regards to the Heroes of the Sky and the brave souls on the ground. "CONTACT! Alpha One! Contact Right!"
The large 105mm shells began impacting all around, causing a lot of noise and explosions, but causing nothing more than superficial damage. it did scratch the paint though...

Alpha team looked up at the incoming fire and scrambled into position. Preston's distance from the rest of the group was specifically meant for this kind of engagement. He fell back to a calmer position in order to set up in his Sniping form.Meanwhile, the other four, while taking the hits continued their advancement, the Command Wolf already taking shots at the advancing enemy while the Zaber Fangs and Blade Liger began weaving in and out to avoid the next wave of gunfire. Once he was in position, Crosshair took aim at the Dibison. It was giving the most trouble right now.
He aimed at its artillery array and began firing. "Well." Slade grunted.
"Guess Heckler will be happy."

The Gordos began firing its main cannons, though instead of the IDF of Thunder, Shack aimed his shots, missing the Zabers by mere inches.
"Ambush, Solo, Shack, focus on the Zabers and the Command Wolf."
Rounds began impacting the uns of Thunder, though he was already moving out of the way. His Fire-Finder had pinpointed the exact location of the Gun Sniper. He moved behind a ridge, out of everyone's line of sight, then began lobbing 105mm shells over the ridge...every one of them aimed at the Gun Sniper.
"The Blade Liger is mine."
The Zero roared in anticipation, then charged down the ridge, making a direct beeline for the Blade Liger.

Angel Team stayed at the same elevation.
"Slade, this is Archangel. We cant provide any CAS. If you need a Zoid held in place though, we can handle that."

Preston gave a grunt as he had already begun moving out of the position after his shot. He had learned long ago never to stay in one spot.
Once he was able to, he dashed off to the side to avoid the artillery run.
He would need to keep quiet for now in order to line up another shot.
"A few more shots and that battery of his will bite him in the a**." Crosshair grunted."b***h!" Hack barked as the blast went just over them before he heard Slash chuckling."Oh lookie, someone trying to be sneaky." Slash grunted as he pinpointed the tail of the Guysak while he and Hack moved behind a ridge on their side. They began moving around their obstacle to find a path that kept them under cover from the Gordos while giving them a shot at their target.Heckler had charged after the Dibison, in order to stay out of its articular range, but also minding itself to remain out of the range of its horns and hooves. He would have to to through the other weaponry, but that was nothing compared to what he would be missed by completely.
He knew there was no sneaking up on this thing, so he didn't even bother. The moment he saw his target, he opened fire with the turret on his back, still moving forward to avoid gunfire."Slade here. Archangel, try and keep that Gordos busy. Looks like I have a fan." he grunted as he watched the Zero come in closer.
He merely waited for his opponent to come closer.

He moved from the original spot, making sure to stay behind the ridge so that no one would be able to even lock onto him without him seeing. Oh look. The Wolf wants to play. I shall oblige him.Thunder began charging his Megalomax, all 17 guns glowingglowing. The DiBison lowed, then fired. Megalo Max description Megalo-Max Blast requires a single second to charge up. After that, a stream of fire erupts from all of the cannon barrels at once, intertwining and becoming a single burst. The pilot then picks some radius between 10 and 100 meters, and a location to center it around. The radius is the blast radius (power per unit area decreases with a greater radius). The most concentrated version, the 10 meter radius one, can only be survived by the very toughest of Zoids if the Dibison has all of its mortar cannons intact. The most dispersed one does far, far less damage, but is great for hitting moving targets. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Ambush's tail disappeared under the snow as the Guyask buried itself and began burrowing through the ground, deep enough that only heavy weapons would penetrate. At random intervals, he'd pop out his tail, fire a shot or two, then pull it back in. ------------------------------------------------------------------- The Liger Zero stopped near the Blade Liger, coming no closer than was needed to size him up. Jay switched on his loudspeakers. "A Blade Liger. A highly-agile, fast Zoid with amazing Close-Combat potential. But, only in the hands of a skilled pilot will the Liger's true potential come forth. "Keep their Command Wolf busy then." Slade grunted before turning his loudspeaker on as well.
"Seeing as you stopped just now says something." he replied, the Blade Liger staring down the Zero.
"And going with that Gray has not forsaken me, I would have to say I am indeed worthy." he added, waiting for their fight to commence.
"Man. This guy's a puss." Slash said both on the radio and the loudspeaker.
"Mainly because there's two of us here." Hack grunted as Slash turned off the loudspeaker.
"Well why don't you go see to the Gordos?"
"Like hell I'm going THAT! Besides, you're BOUND to ******** up without me."
Both of them were now just waiting for their time to strike.
As Hecker saw the blast incoming due to the sudden day-like brightness, he immediately stopped his charge forward and jumped backward to avoid the black, which still grazed the undercarriage of the Command ********! WHAT ARE YOU, A GIANT BUG-ZAPPER!?" he barked over the loudspeaker as he began moving back behind the ridge to devise a plan, using the smoke bomb as a cover.

Solo, whom hadn't fired a single shot yet, leapt into the air, his CP-02 giving his jumps more distance, landed next to the Gordos, growling at the Zabers. "You shall not pass!" As if to emphasize his point, he targeted the Zabers with his missile launcher and single cannon, adding to the heavy suppressing fire of the Gordos. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thunder laughed at Heckler. "Only if you, yourself, are a bug. If so, then prepare to be zapped" Thunder fired another Megalo-Max, following it up with repeated shots with his rapid-fire Pulse Beam Gun. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ambush suddenly burst from the ground beneath Hack, knocking him over, taking a pot-shot at Slash, then burrowing back under the ground. He was playing with them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ((Rival))"Then prepare to test yourself against Hunter and Sub-Zero!" The Zero roared, tail arcing up behind its back. He was ready.

Hack just gave a growl both as he and Slash stayed behind cover before the Guysak did its small attack."...I think it's clear his lady needs the vibrator before and after he shows up." Slash said over the loudspeaker, the attack on him barely even doing anything.
As he thought for a moment, a wry grin appeared on his face as he backed up a few steps while Hack was getting back on his feet.Heckler used the ridge to his advantage, now hidden in sight from his opponent. He went quiet, ironically."Sub-Zero..? Really..?" Slade asked, Gray tilting his head as well.
"What? Is he going to shoot ice at me..?"((Aaand off again.))

((Friendly battle))"Then come, and we will show you why he is called Sub-Zero! And you will show me why you call your Liger Grey!" Jay charged for Jarid, the sides of the Liger's face glowing with a golden light, the same as his claws. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A 105 shell came flying over the ridge, tossing shrapnel into the side of Hekcler's wolf. The DiBison had GPS 3D Radar. No one could hide once it had a lock. More shells began flying over the ridge. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This time, only the tail popped up, swaying back and forth, taunting them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Gordos had been lining up a shot the whole time, unleasing a barrage right near the spot the Gun Sniper had run off to. Thunder had relayed the position to Shack. Shack, eing the most heavily armored, would go after the Gun Sniper, knowing it'd take multiple shots to be taken down.

"Reason why he's called Gray should be simple, but alright." Slade replied with a shrug as Gray let out a growl, shaking itself as if to get ready.
Gray charged at Sub-Zero, leaving everything at it already was.
Heckler gave a growl as the shrapnel hit. He had to think fast as to what do do about this over sized bull.
Lightbulb.
A few moments later, the turrets of the Command Wolf began firing as another smoke bomb was shot out.
Having to deal with an instigator of their own, Hack and Slash already knew how to deal with their insect problem.
Slash's Zaber Fang, Ivory, laid down on the ground, its tail swaying back and fourth as if it were casually resting.
Hack's Zaber, Ebony, seemed to be behind it, practically doing the same.
They were doing the one thing an instigator hated. Ignoring them.
All of the shots targeting the Gun Sniper were giving off no progress whatsoever. It was as if Crosshair had disappeared from existence completely.

The Zero leapt into the air, coming down with it's claws glowing, Strike Laser Claw initiated. If he landed on Grey, the armor on the back of the BLade Liger would be shredded ------------------------------------------------- 105 shells kept coming down, the smoke bomb having zero effect on the GPS 3D Radar of the DiBison ------------------------------------------------ From behind Ebony, Ambush's claw shot out, latching on ot the rear leg, and began pulling the Zaber Fang down into the ground. It wouldn't go very far...but if he wasn't freed, the Zaber would find its ear leg ripped off. ------------------------------------------------ Solo, following the directions of the Thunder, was hunting, stalking the Gun Sniper, using its paint scheme to blend into the ridge almost seamlessly. ------------------------------------------------ SHack attained the top of the ridge, unleasing multiple cannon rounds at the two Zabers. He wasn't intending to hit them. His intent was chaos and distraction.
