http://cdn.medialib.computerandvideogames.com/screens/screenshot_261935.jpgIt's confirmed, but from what I've been hearing, any subjects about the matter that are being posted on the BioWare forums are being deleted due to their whole 'no speculation or rumor posting' rule (my guess being they're waiting for the magazine to be officially released). However, from what I've been able to gather, it's going to be added as a DLC about a month or so after the game's release.

that would be interesting. im guessing that players will be able to pick what race they want to be... unless it just uses your sheperd for it, which i highly doubt.
still, im wondering how theyre gonna pull this off... id love to see it happen, but still.

As a DLC? Ah come on Bioware thats kinda gay. Having to pay for multiplayer thats almost like having to pay for a difficulty.

I read that its a fake. The magazine article barely mentioned Mass Effect at all, and they just slapped MULTIPLAYER in front of Shepard because they knew people would buy it.

Official BioWare site for Mass Effect 3 is probably the best place to get info. I saw this announcement on the Mass Effect LJ community. ... I have mixed thoughts. Since it supposedly doesn't take away from the single-player game, I guess I don't really mind it.

There is an official video for it on YouTube on IGN's channel. Search for "Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Trailer" and it should come up.
It is going to be for Xbox Live, and you will have the option of playing as different races and classes for specific multiplayer levels.
I guess my fellow PS3 owners are out of luck on this one for now.

I like the idea of being able to choose what race you are, im probably gonna make my co-op character a Drell or Turian. whee

Sounds cool. A good move for the conclusion of the series to add in multiplayer I think. Keep the replay value in there n such, not that I didn't play Mass Effect 2 a bunch of times.

I did a quick skim and didn't see any threads about Multiplayer.
Does anyone play it? And what are your thoughts about it?
I think it's pretty fun. Then again, I've got some friends that I play with, so adds to the entertainment. surprised
