one of my cories is missing, i hadnt seen him in a couple days to today when i cleaned the tank i moved everything around and still no sign of him, not a body or anything. the only think in there big enough to eat him would be the pleco but plecos only eat veggies
im not sure what to think about this at all. and yes, my tank has a top on it so he couldnt have jumped out

Bristlenose plecos are omnivores that eat mainly vegetables, there are other plecos that eat more meat but if a BN is hungry, they will eat a dead fish. If you haven't seen his body lying outside of the tank, and he's not in there, then he's been eaten. Possibly he died and then everyone took turns devouring him. How many fish in the tank?

Live fish eat dead fish to avoid bacteria out breaks. If you cant find a dead fish in there, then its been eaten, and I'd say it was more the pleco then anything else.

is it possible he jumped out and a cat got him, or one reached in and got him?

I know this thread was old but I just want to say the exact same thing happened to me..almost. He was in a tank with fairly large fish, but none of them really showed interest in eating smaller fish. Perhaps one got hungry that day...but regardless, my cory disappeared without a trace.
Even stranger was when my EEL disappeared without a trace. No body, no fish big enough to eat him, and no way for him to have gotten out.

Cowgirl-with-heart is it possible he jumped out and a cat got him, or one reached in and got him? reign could fit a paw back there behind the tank where the hole for the filter is, but she has never shown any interest in the fish or hunting. the only things she chases are bugs and fluffers knows not to up on my counter tops
