Kess had always enjoyed delivering to this part of town.
The apartments were expensive, modified from old english style townhouses, and usually, the elderly folk that lived around here had stories to tell her when she dropped off their mail. Today, though, she had a package addressed to one 'Miss Ainsley McMahon', and by the way it gave when she squeeze it, it was something soft.
In her years as a mailgirl, Kess had gotten rather good at guessing contents. She reckoned it was a pillow, plush, or some kind of linen. Most likely one of the first two options.
A cheerful knock, and she pulled out her small, electronic signature pad. Whomever sent the thing cared about it, since they'd paid to make sure it was signed for.

"Well, hello there!" Kess' grin was wide, friendly as she bent slightly to make eye contact with the young Ainsley. "You must be the Lady of the house." Holding out a small clipboard, the tall blonde indicated a line, and offered the girl a pen.
"If you are, indeed, a Miss McMahon, please do sign here, and accept this delivery. I was told it was urgent, and of utmost importance."
Kids were great, especially friendly ones like this. Although, Kess had a certain fondness for the ones that acted like dogs, and attempted to bite her. Ah, the joys of being a mailwoman.
