[PRP] The burning of Butterflies. (Huojin and Momoka)

His smoldering orange eyes glared at the narrow dirt path ahead of him. Judging by the possition of the sun in the sky, Huojin determined that he was drawing near to the herd of pixies. He knew the risk that he opened his herd upto in leaving it for the few days that he would be away, but this trip was necessary. The leader of the pixies was still new to her possition, and he was bound and determined to make sure that there were no "weak links" within the community that the six herds were made up of. He had been leader to the Imps for a few years now, though not nearly as long as the Nymph mare. But even before that he had served as his brothers right hand and adviser.
Huojin growled lowly as he entered a lightly wooded forest. He could almost hear the chatter-bug herd from here. There would be a slim chance of him leaving the place without a headache. Hopefully he would be in and out before the day was done, and on his way back home.

Momoka stood on the fringes, watching her little herd. She was still getting used to this, her herd, others coming to her as an authority figure, it was strange. The move that they had all gone through had been a real test or her, she had never had to make a choice that affected so many before, but here they were, choice made move done. She was smiling happily because so fat they were happy and safe, though she knew that there was bound to be other dangers, she could only hope they passed by with as little harm as possible. Turning she froze to the spot feeling very nervous. The Imp leader had just come into sight on the edge of the clearing... What was HE doing here?! Looking around she tried to decide what to do, he made her so nervous and unsure that her mind had gone blank. Trying to take deep calming breaths she looked back over to where he was. This would never do, she had to go and greet him, she was being rude and childish otherwise. Taking one more breath she straightens up a little, trying not to look as unsure as she felt around him and walked over to him, offering a slight smile. "Hello Huojin, fancy seeing you here... Of all places... How are things?" Mentally kicking herself, that didn't sound awkward at all... yeah right...

From what Huojin could tell, he had entered the main grazing area of the herd. A few members had noticed him and wandered off, whispering to each other as they went. Gossips, he thought with slight disgust, a frown set upon his mouth. It had taken Huojin a moment to spot their leader standing aways away from her herd. She had already taken notice to his presence and had the expression of shock on her face. His visit had taken her by surprise. 'Good' he thought, coming to a stop by her side. He reguarded her silently, taking in her appearance as he did. The female was rather short and he wondered for a moment just how young she was. Her dumbfounded blue eyes stared at him for a moment before she finally spoke up, stuttering as she went. 'Now that won't do,' Huojin thought, his brow furrowing. "I wasn't just in the area, Momoka" He remembered her name faintly from when they had briefly met before. "I came to see how your herd was settling in. Have you had any issues?" He asked, wondering if he should act visibly concerned for her sake.

Moka watched him, he unnerved her, and she couldn't help her gaze wandering over him. Not that she was an expert but she was looking to see if she could get an inkling of why he was there from his body language. She got no help from the look, there was no telling what he wanted but she had to take what he said at face value. "Oh... No... No nothing has happened here and no one has told me of any troubles they have encountered..." She knew there would be something at some point, but for now it had been quiet. No news was good news as they say... And considering what they were used to, no news was a blessing!

Huojin gave a stern nod at her reply, his eyes leaving her face to gaze out at the prospering herd of Pixies. They had both lost many in the past few years. Too many. The journey to this new land had taken time, longer than he would have wanted. But elders and newborn foals could only travel so quickly, and there was no leaving anyone behind. His head tilted back towards her, "Is there any shelter around this area? From the rain and thunderstorms? I believe that the season is approaching," His own herd had the rocky overhanging cliffs and the various caves within the mountain side to protect them from the elements. Pixies were even more delicate than his own kind. It would be a pity to see them waste away because of the weather.
