The summer heat was brutal. Ixion spent most of his days lazily keeping cool by visiting the local pool or lying around in shady grass; in his civilian form, of course. Summer nights were prefect though. As the sun started to get low, it the temperature became more tolerable, pleasantly warm in general. The longer days also made it much easier for the young senshi to go out on patrols. As long as it was light out, the boy’s parents were not to concerned about him going out ‘to play’. It was actually an encouraged practice; as long as Sam wasn’t rotting his brain by playing video games and sitting in front of the TV all day, his parents were content and blissfully unaware of the boy’s double life.
So when Ixion went out on patrol just after dinner, there was no issue with getting out of the house. To start, Ixion wandered about his usual haunts. He kept an eye on his own neighborhood, then made his way to the park. However, what the boy found while on patrol was not a youma, but another senshi.
Sailor Ixion could sense another senshi in the distance and when he was close enough, he was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar face and fuku.

Originally powering up wasn't in the plan and originally the child had just intended to go to the library to pick up a new book before going home for a late dinner but originally the child didn't expect to find a distressed kitten on a rooftop. How had the kitten gotten up there? Truly a mystery but the child could not just sit there and leave it despite those questions so she had powered up and gone to save the kitten from the top of the building. It certainly brought a smile to the tiny senshi's face to hear the kitten's mews of thanks and with a smile the small senshi took the kitten with her, carefully setting her on the ground.
"Don't go getting into trouble again, I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself!"
She gave the kitten a little rub and then the small senshi was on her way to the park. It wasn't very far, just around the corner and down the sidewalk. She never would have believed her eyes at the sight she seen when she looked across the way. It was a tiny male senshi, one she was quite familiar with! Her feet shuffled, and quickly three pairs of bunny ears were flopping back and forth as Sailor Chibi Hypnos ran towards him.

Sailor Hypnos was an unexpected person to see, but a welcome one. In all times patrolling and wandering destiny city, Ixion had only ever met Hypnos under poor circumstances. First he briefly saw her at school, then next at camp, and finally just a little while ago with that whole bug-youma fiasco. And even then, he had never seen the girl without any of the other chibis. Today was his lucky day then.
Ixion smiled as Hypnos ran towards him, giving a little wave. The fading light played off her shimmery blonde hair. When the girl came up to him, Ixion held out a hand to shake. “Hypnos, right? I know we’ve seen each other a lot, but I don’t think we’ve ever really met. I’m the super senshi of coal, Ixion.” The boy beamed, he was really proud to be a super senshi and used every opportunity to work that fact into conversation.

The child looked at Super Sailor Chibi Ixion's hand in mild confusion until she realized it was what her father did to his businessmen. It wasn't what she was used to, but the child slowly offered her hand to the boy with a small smile. She remembered him from several not-so-pleasant experiences, although he hadn't always been a super senshi. He'd grown stronger, but she hadn't. She couldn't help but wonder why that was the case, but she quickly found herself acting on habit, going to introduce herself.
"I'm the senshi of sleep, Hypnos!" She said before directing him to the rabbit plushie in her arms. "This is my partner, Thanatos! We're pleased to be able to properly meet you, Ixion, on much more pleasant terms. You must be super strong, huh!"

Grasping Hypnos’s hand, Ixion gave it a firm shake after which he shook the hand of her plush rabbit. Girls and their toys, seriously. But Ixion indulged her and the rabbit toy , “Thanatos.”
Ixion grinned wide her comment on his strength. He raised an arm, pretending to flex his muscles in the same way most boys do when trying to show off. “I don’t like to brag, but yeah.” Actually, Ixion loved to brag.
“Not that I needed to be super to be strong, but it helps a bit. I bet I could get to the top of that swing set.” Ixion pointed to a pair of swings in the middle of the park. Immediately he took Hypnos by the hand, leading her over to the swings. He jumped up on top of a swing’s seat, standing firmly on it. Hands gripped the chains and then he started to rock back and forth, swing gently.
Looking down at Hypnos from his high height, he wondered what she was doing here. He’d never seen her out on patrol before. “Whatcha doing out here?”

Sailor Chibi Hypnos found herself giggling when he not only shook her hand but Thanatos' as well! What a gentleman! She found herself looking over Super Sailor Chibi Ixion's fuku, the charcoal greys and the vermilion reds really stood out nicely with the white and lighter grey accdents. She wondered how she'd look in a dress of those colours, could she pull it off? She'd gotten a bit distracted in thoughts, but she heard the boy.
"Oh," she said, nodding to him. He was so strong that he didn't even need to be a super senshi to be!
She followed the boy as he gestured to the swings in the middle of the park, watching the ears on her bunny slippers flop forward and back with each of her steps until she got over to the sand that surrounded the swings. She watched him as he jumped up on top of the swing's seat as he began to swing back and forth before finally settling down on the seat next to him after he asked her what she'd been doing here.
"I saved a kitten," she said proudly with a nod.

Rocking his body back and forth, Ixion managed to coax the swing into a nice rhythm until he was basically swinging like normal. “A kitten? Well that’s heroic, I suppose.” Saving an animal hadn’t really occurred to the boy. Wasn’t that the fire fighters job, to rescue cats from trees? It’s not like youma really bothered with animals much, did they? Not that he had noticed much, but he supposed if he saw a cat stuck somewhere he might get it as well.
From what he remembered from Hypnos from the few battles he had seen her in, she wasn’t that much of a fighter anyways. Perhaps it was better she stuck to saving her animal friends. That reminded Ixion about Hypnos’s cat, “Hey did you ever find your cat? The one with the collar?”

"Thank you!" Sailor Chibi Hypnos replied to the male chibi senshi with a small smile. She was glad to see that her deeds were not going unrecognized as something nice, although it probably wouldn't stop the child from doing so even if they weren't. She just felt it was right to do those sort of things. If she didn't do it, who would? There was no guarantee someone else would come alone and do it, so why not take five minutes from her schedule and do it? It all made sense to her.
"Cora?" The child questioned, as if she had two cats. It dawned on her very quickly when he made reference to the collar. He was the one who had been at camp with her, and the one who had helped her get Captain Painite down so she was able to get the collar back. She smiled softly at the boy, "I found her and she was okay, thank you so much for your assistance that night with Captain Painite."

Ixion beamed back at her. He could get used to having her around if he got to play the hero and get praised for his impulsive actions. “That witch? Oh, yeah, no problem. She had it coming to her anyways.”
Never mind exactly how Hypnos felt about Painite, to Ixion she was not someone to trifle with again. Not only for having held him hostage for a brief moment at camp, but also for what she had done to his hand. Ixion looped an arm around the chain to keep himself stable, and rubbed the spot where Painite had stabbed his hand. Even though it had healed up alright, every once in a while he remembered the sensation.
Then looking back down at Hypnos, and her gentle smiled, he started to forget exactly what he was thinking about.

Sailor Chibi Hypnos wasn't sure what Sailor Chibi Ixion meant about Captain Painite being a witch. The child wondered if Captain Painite was able to use magic like them? Did she have a magic broom stick? Or perhaps a magic javalin? That did sort of make more sense. It was like a broom, but it was something Sailor Chibi Hypnos had actually seen the woman with. Perhaps she kept a cauldron at home too? It was an interesting train of thoughts, although so far from the truth anyone who could read her mind would probably be a little astounded.
The child was being polite and trying to look at Ixion intently while they were conversing, but it didn't stop her head from leaning to the side and then back again. Her hair tossed, and her smile widened. It was nice to have a conversation with this senshi, but how long would it last before something would decide to chase them with the intent on eating them? Probably not long.
"It's nice, isn't it?" She said, a long gap before she realized she wasn't very clear. "Meeting under peaceful circumstances, I mean. I hope it lasts."

Ixion nodded along. If Hypnos wondered about what he had meant by witch, he certainly didn’t pick up on her wonderment. Really, witch was just a nicer word for what he could have said. The boy just wasn’t quite ready to throw around the words he heard older boys say or picked up from tv.
“Mmmmm hmmmmmm,” Not that Ixion really minded fighting all that much, he thought he was rather good, but being able to talk and not worry about being attacked did help him get to know his fellow senshi. This gave him an idea.
Taking a large swing, Ixion launched himself off of his swing. Landing in the soft sand a few feet away, he whipped around and looked at Hypnos with a grin, like he had a secret. “You know what’s really peaceful? ….. Space!”
Ixion had only been once, but it certainly was … quiet up there on Perseus’s home world. He had yet to go to his own world, maybe now was a good chance. Ixion took out his rusty orange phone and dangled it in front of Hypnos.

Sailor Chibi Hypnos watched curiously as Sailor Chibi Ixion took a really large swing and launched himself into the air and off of the swing, landing a few feet away from where he had been swinging previously. The child tilted her head at him. Was he going to leave? Nothing had come yet! They'd only just met up! She had frowned a little bit until he turned around with a large grin on his face. It was even more curious, he wasn't leaving but he had such an expression! The secret was huge! The child couldn't help but gasp at his suggestion.
"Space!? I want to go!" She squeaked without thinking it was impossible. Not only possible, but pretty peaceful, she could remember the time she was floating above the Earth so vividly. It was her only outer worldly experience, and it didn't go any further than Earth. She had never thought you could travel to another planet, nor did she think she could go to space on her own, despite how much she may have willed to do so.
It was curious, and when he whipped out his phone, she slowly came to a stop on her swing until she could slide off the edge of the swing and walk the few feet over to him. She examined the phone curiously as it was hanging there in front of her eyes. It was similiar to her own phone, except instead of looking similar to her, it looked similar to him with the rusty orange colour.
"How can we go?" She questioned, her hands carefully latching loosely around one of Sailor Chibi Ixion's arms.

Ixion felt like he was a genius, knowing the secret of space travel that Perseus had taught him. It was oddly a bit like being told how to fly by Peter Pan, only way cooler. Holding his phone up, Ixion showed the blonde haired senshi the home button on his phone. “This button, right here. Apparently, if we press it and concentrate really hard, we can go visit our own planets. Nobody but us can go there. I can take you to mine. If you like.”
Ixion’s finger was lingering over the home button, ready to press it. His free hand was held out to Hypnos. “You just have to hold on.”

Sailor Chibi Hypnos eyes stared widely as Sailor Chibi Ixion showed her the secrets to going to their own planets. She had never really thought about it before, and it was still a little out of her grasp to imagine that there was a planet out there just for them. It wasn't too far away from her grasp now though, the child quite intent on seeing their story to the end. It didn't occur to her to say anything but yes and when the boy's hand reached out to her, she placed her own into it without thinking. Unconditional trust, placed into his hand, she replied to him softly, "I'd like."
