Welcome, Pilot! I'm sure you're a mite confused as to how the battles work in Conflict: Zoids. So...here is a brief description in list form, if you will...
1. You are a Team Leader. If you pilot a Ground Zoid, you have four other members. You control them. They are NPCs. They do not require a profile. Try to devise your team to have flexibility. I don't want to see a team of nothing but Shield Ligers' Command Wolves, etc. I will give them hell. If you pilot a Faction Unique Zoid, your team cannot pilot them. Exceptions: The Stormsworder, the Raynos, the Lightning Saix, the Jager, the Godos, the Molga, and the Rev Raptor. If you pilot a Flying Zoid, your team is reduced by one. You and three others.
2. All enemy NPCs will be controlled by myself or another GM. No Zoid can perform one-hit kills. Exceptions: Blade Liger, Zero Schneider, and Storm Sworder Blades. Surface-to-Air Missiles (SAM). A2A Missiles can be avoided, though if they hit, its a kill. Note: The Pteras and the Redler have thick armor and may survive missile hits.
3. Your team CANNOT have family members. Example: You cannot have a brother/sister/father/mother of your character on your team. Team members cannot be related to each other.
4. If you go into battle, you WILL take damage. Exceptions: Zabats, Raynos', Lightning Saix, Zero Jagers, and Storm Sworders.
5. This is war. People die. If a Zoid explodes or the cockpit takes a hit the punches through, pilot is dead. Exceptions: Pilot is a Character. Yes, team members may die. If a Character takes too much damage, their Command System Freezes and the Zoid is 'knocked-out,' to take a term from pokemon. Think of a Command System Freeze as a blue screen of death. If you get frozen, your Zoid is out of commission. WARNING: intentionally killing of a Zoid pilot without first sttempting to bring the Zoid to a Command/Combat System Freeze is a violation of the Rules of War. Gun Snipers are trained to aim for the center of the body, not the cockpit.
6. I will not normally cause a Character's Zoid to become frozen unless they are being completely and utterly idiotic about it.
Example:
John yanked the controls to the left, his Zaber leaping to the left, barely dodging the missiles.
"My turn."
He barreled towards the enemy's Shield Liger. The pilot began firing, but John zig-zagged his way closer, avoiding the hits. He leapt into the air, his strike claws impacting the back of the Liger, then leaping off. The Liger's back was broken and the Zoid wouldn't move for a while. When he landed, he immediately fired repeatedly at a Command Wolf, his teammate Stallion joining the barrage.
The Command Wolf was a little slow at the controls, taking every hit. The Pilot slammed his fist into the canopy as the loud beep of a Command System Freeze sounded, the Wolf falling to its side.
"God dammit!"
He looked around at the rest of his team. Only Shack was still standing, and he was being hit like a hammer.

"...Turn Zoid on..."
