What else do they have on their person?: She wears a belt that has several pouches on it kinda like a utility belt, but less toolbelt like and more practical carryall like. When she travels on long journeys she carries a messenger style bag.

╫Fighting Style╫
Suriya is at heart a street brawler. She grew up learning to strike fast and first, like a cobra. Even in a frontal fight the element of surprise is her best offense. Suriya is small so she's agile and lightfooted. Often faster than many of her opponents. Or at least that's what she learned from the streets and training for the Merseyr Prince's guard.

╫Character Description╫
Personality: Suriya is born leader. First she lead the Desert Rat street gang to take over the markets of Merseyr. Then, after training and receiving a promotion from the army of Merseyr into the main guard, she commanded her own unit of troops. Suriya is a loyal soldier and a tactician, however she also realizes her position in life an unless she's on the battlefield, isn't likely to volunteer her opinions on things to anyone who outranks her.
She cares very much for her mother and her younger siblings. Most of the money she earns in the military goes directly to them. Her goal in life is to be able to send her siblings to school so that they don't have to live the life that she did.
When she gets some downtime though -which isn't often- Suriya likes to relax and just be a girl. She's fascinated by the dresses that noblewomen wear and she secretly wishes she had the time and the money to be made up and wear clothes like they do. Her goal in life is to marry a nice rich man who can treat her like a princess and still leave her with money to take care of her family.

╫Background Information╫
Suriya comes from a poor family from the desert Merseyr. Her father abandoned her mother and her siblings when Suriya was nine or ten. Suriya barely remembers anything about him and only refers to him as the "stupid b*****d". At a young age and much to her mother's chagrin Suriya got involved in the street gangs of the markets of Merseyr. Life in the gangs was hard, but she managed to bring in enough money to help her mother make ends meet.
At around fifteen Suriya challenged the leader of the Desert Rats for his "throne". She won in a knife scuffle and accidentally killed him. There was no repercussion for his murder, the Desert Rats would never alert a guard to it and the guard wouldn't have cared even if they did. The Desert Rats bowed down to their new "Queen" and she ruled the streets for the next several years as a ruler that was both loved and feared. She quietly passed her title onto her lieutenant at the age of seventeen and instead stole a set of armor so she could join the Desert Prince's army and make an honest paycheck.
At twenty, she was promoted into the Prince's Honor Guard after saving his life from a stray ranger arrow just outside the Fortress Castle at Merseyr. At twenty-one she was granted her own squadron within the honor guard and an officers pay.
