Hey. I'm looking for those kinds of songs to play during a number of happenings, since I'm now a self-appointed (but widely supported) troubadour in our group. In just two weeks another thing's coming up, and I plan to play music and getting drunk. Anyone want to support me? In the music part of course, let's leave the alcohol policies out of this.
So, I'm looking for songs which are pre-18th century. Irish stuff is good, renaissance is good, basically anything European is good. No offense for non-Europeans of course, it's just that those are my favourites and fit best. Although I'm interested in learning maybe a few Arabian songs. Anyone?
Examples for what I'm looking for would be; Blackmore's Night - Loreley/Under A Violet Moon/Cartouche Flogging Molly - Devil's Dance Floor/Selfish Man Kivimetsän Druidi - Tuoppein'nostelulaulu (you know, just repeat the acoustic part over and over again and ignore the woman's singing parts.) Nightwish - Once Upon A Troubadour Greensleeves Gently As She Goes (From Beowulf)
And stuff like that. Any really actually medieval songs would be just perfect and lovely heart
Thank you so very much in advance! Hugs to anyone who cares to help me ^w^
