I've been seeing a guy, and he's constantly reminding me of my attacker. I have told him that I've been raped and that my daughter is a product of said rape, and he says he understands. He loves my daughter to death as well, and she doesn't mind him being around either. Should I tell him how it happened so that he can really understand the relationship I had with my daughter's father? Or would it be best to wait until our relationship becomes more serious? He says he really, truly loves me... But I feel as though he doesn't really understand completely how I was affected by the rape. I thought I was healed, but then when I began seeing him, things began happening and he gets upset at me for it.

I don't know too much about those kind of relationships, but honestly, I think it would be better not to wait. If he's getting upset at you for things you can't really control, then if you wait, he might get too upset one day. Maybe telling him how it happened will help him better understand why the things happening are taking place. He may not get upset then.
