Marlon dashed about inside the modestly-sized house, pushing anything remotely breakable further back and hoping that when the night was over, the carpet wouldn't be riddled with stains. His father Herick would certainly pay him in full for every mark on the carpet, every scratch on a wood surface, and every minute it would take to purify the pool once his 'rowdy pack of juvenile moron friends' had left for the night. Even the dire threats from Herick couldn't bring him down for very long; he was finally going to have a party! After hearing about it, his mother had been entirely on his side. She was ecstatic that her son was FINALLY bringing friends over; not only that, but having a party with them! Too long she had been afraid that her son would remain friendless in school, causing trouble and eventually landing himself in juvenile hall, never mind that things were really not as bad as she imagined them to be, even though Marlon was still rather shy and constantly plagued by clumsiness, which actually CAUSED the trouble 95% of the time. But one conversation in the hallways and he suddenly found himself in the middle of a party hot spot, and he was determined to make it as successful as possible. At least his mother had been happy to drag her grumbling husband off for the night, agreeing with him that parents would just make everyone nervous. One quick survey of the kitchen counters to ensure that NO snack was under-represented, and there! He was definitely ready for the first partygoers!

With a huff and a sigh, Keagan pulled at the hem of her blouse for the tenth time since turning down the block. It had been a bit of a surprise when she heard one of her "friends", as they liked to call themselves, talking about some party that was supposed to be being hosted this evening. She didn't even remember deciding to attend, only agreeing to it at some point during the conversation. A gathering of adolescents, confined to a single area, hormones raging, and no adults to supervise. It wasn't exactly her ideal situation. Still, she had agreed to attend, and Keagan O'Shea wasn't normally one to go back on her word. She just tended to twist them around sometimes...
She came to a stop at the designated residence, having memorized the house number. It was a quaint little two-story with a nice little yard out front. Hardly any noise was coming from within, and the redhead wondered for a moment if anyone else had arrived yet. It would certainly be awkward if she were the first. Considering she didn't even know the person who was hosting the party, awkward probably wasn't even the proper term. But there was only one way to find out.
Taking a deep breath, Keagan traversed the short distance to the front door and gave a careful knock. In her mind, she couldn't help repeating the little tune she had been raised with. 'Shave and a hair cut...' The words matched with the timing of her knuckles rapping against the thick wood, and it brought a slight smile to the girl's face. Now all she had to do was wait.

Indigo had heard of a party being hosted by another student at Apple. She didn't... really know who the guy was. But she figured might as well go and meet whoever this was. Besides, it was a PARTY! Free food, lots of people, and a pool! You really couldn't go wrong there. She was pretty sure she'd found the house. It had taken some doing to get the address, but the fact that there was another girl at the door, she was very sure this had to be the place.
Indigo was dressed in denim cutoff shorts and a white button up short sleeve shirt, covering a dark blue two piece. Indigo stepped up behind the girl, hoping her sandals weren't so quiet that she'd startle the girl.
"Here for the party?"

Marlon had just begun to get really fidgety; there was only so many times one could rearrange the snack bowls or check the salt level of the pool. Everything looked so perfect; a beach ball floated invitingly on the barely rippling water, the house was lit up like a beacon, and the state-of-the-art stereo system stood by, ready to blare any sort of music you could ask for with a single touch. He had begun to worry, as many party hosts do, whether or not anyone would show up. Had the ones at school who hated him spread the word that he was some sort of thug and to go t his party meant they were thugs too? What if the directions he had given were wrong; he HAD said left at the stoplight, hadn't he? What if nobody showed up and his father returned, blowing a gasket at all of the wasted snack food and making sure that he would NEVER have a chance to throw another party again?
He was just preparing to chew one of his fingernails down to the quick when he heard the knock at the door. Fighting to keep himself from making a break for the door and effectively knocking over everything in the living room, Marlon managed to reach the door at a reasonable pace and opened it, trying to look every inch the dignified host. The two girls that stood there he didn't recognize, but he didn't expect to know EVERYONE that came. At least now he had some people. Smiling at the pair, he nodded at the second, who was just coming up the steps. "Yep, this is the place. Come on in!" He gestured behind him. "There are snacks in the kitchen, bathrooms are down the hall to your left, and out through the kitchen and to the backyard is the swimming pool. I don't know if they told you it's a saltwater pool; hope that's okay."

She was late... she was so so so late and it was not right. If anyone should have been there first, it should have been her. She and Marlon had been friends for a while now right? More then that, they shared a wonderful secret and now she was being a horrible friend!
Of course, Eolande certainly would have been on time if she had not been uncertain about what swimsuit to wear. Since she was going to a friends house, with unknown people there, she had thought to wear her pink one piece swimsuit with the tiny little bow on the front. It was simple and plain, it also covered everything and would surely get her no awkward comments. Ah...but what if Mark showed up? Eolande had pulled out her white two piece to agonize over. It had a little frilly lace skirt around the bottom and looked so super cute! Mark would have to like seeing her in this! Back and forth Eolande went between the two suits, before allowing her embarrassment to get the best of her.
She wore the pink. Even if Mark did show, there were all those other people around and Eolande didn't want strangers to see her in something so skimpy. Or worse yet, she didn't want Marlon to see her in something like that! Her face was full of blush when she raced out the door, and it had only barely faded by the time she rode up on her motorcycle to the front of Marlons house.
It was such a nice house too. She loved the clean cut look, the way it was all brightly lit. It was a nice house for a friend to have. Eolande was feeling slightly flustered by now, just how many others had arrived? Was Marlons parents still there? Had he knocked anything, or one, over yet? Her mind just would not settle! Eolande tucked the key to her bike into her shoulder bag, then approached the front door. Oh please pleaseplease don't let her be too late!

Hearing the approach of another's footsteps, Keagan turned slightly to glance over her shoulder. She wasn't at all surprised to see another female approaching. It was someone she didn't know, but that wasn't something unexpected. Since entering high school, she had been restricted to the knowledge of those few other females who resided within the dorms of the school. And this party was hosted by someone she didn't know, so it was only sensible to think that most of the people attended would be unknown to the girl.
Hearing the other female's words, Keagan offered a slight nod, her left hand dropping down to fiddle with the hem of her blouse once more. It was a simple green sleeveless with buttons running down the front. She had left most of them undone to show off the dark blue swimsuit she had just barely remembered to put on before leaving. Her jean shorts were clean and well kept, as she hardly ever had a chance to wear them anywhere. It wasn't like Keagan could wear them around school.
When a male's voice drifted to her ears, the redhead jumped slightly in spite of herself and turned quickly about to her front once more. So was this the male who was hosting the party. He didn't look so bad. Then again, he might have dressed up for the occasion. Chiding herself in her mind, Keagan willed her face to remain it's natural color as the boy waved her and the other female through the door. She offered a slight nod as she walked into the house, careful to make sure her white flats didn't drag anything into the house as well.
"A salt water pool?" came from Keagan's mouth as she turned around just inside the entryway. She didn't think she had ever heard of such a thing. Usually it was just chlorine found in pools, wasn't it? "Well, it wasn't mentioned to me, but, I'm sure it'll be fine." She wasn't trying to be snotty, yet somehow she couldn't help thinking her words were twisting and biting on their own.

Would the teal bikini with silver rings make her look too easy?
It took her a couple hours to model bikinis in her mirror (Of course playing with her hair all the while). There was the cute pink tied one, the tan seashell looking one with ruffles, the black one with a buckle at the bust, the teal one held together with rings at the bust and hips...ah.....there was the perfect one. She tied her hair up in a ponytail, biting her lip eagerly. She usually only had it up at work and the last time Eolande saw it up was when she was transformed, maybe the look would hit home. She grinned impishly as she modeled the leopard-print bikini in the mirror. It wasn't quite the margay spots she had when she transformed, but it was as close as fashion tended to get.
She slipped a light purple and blue dress over her head and ran out the door, bag over her shoulder. Her brother drove her over and left her near the door. Of course that offered a great immediate glee when she saw Eolande standing outside.
Why waste time being proper to greet someone? Mark, instead, simply ran up to Eolande and grabbed tight hold of her. "GOTCHA!" she squealed playfully. Pf, as if anyone would disagree to being grabbed by her.

Marlon tried not to let the worry show on his face at the seemingly unenthusiastic reaction to the pool. Of course regular pools had chlorine, but Herick had fussed and said that his wife being around such toxic fumes would only hurt her, never mind the son who actually swam in it. Marlon considered it a luxury, especially with his new form that took best to the salty waters of the ocean. He had actually tried transforming in a neighbor's pool a while back, just to see if he could do it in chlorinated water. The result had made him so high that he was amazed that he had made it home at all and not blundered into someone in his transformed state, though he had heard a story a few days later about a family who had found deep scuff marks in their pool and had gotten sick from the water; luckily the chlorine had managed to dissipate a measure of his poison, or it could have been MUCH worse.
He tried to chase away these brooding thoughts by peering out into the street to see if any more people were coming. His face lit up as he recognized the shock of shiny brown hair making its way towards his door. "Eolande! Hi!" He waved to her happily and then blinked as he saw her being pounced by another girl. He felt a small flush creeping into his face; that would make 4 girls so far....and no boys. What on Earth would his mother think if he turned out to be the party's only male?

"Whoa, a salt water pool? That sounds really cool! Like swimming in the fish tank at a dentist's cool. Scratch that. Like mermaid cool! Dentist offices aren't cool at all, even if they have a fish tank." Indigo grinned "It sounds really cool, Marlon. ... It is Marlon, right? Or was it Marvin? Melvin? Mark?" She trailed off trying to remember the name she'd heard. She couldn't really recall though. "Oh! I'm Indigo. I figured this was a good chance to meet more kids from school." She stepped out of the way as more girls showed up. She didn't know them, she was pretty sure. But thought she recognized one from school. Though it seemed this boy knew the girl she thought she recognized. Eolande? Well, maybe she would meet more people from school here! She looked at the girl she more or less had arrived with. "I don't think I caught your name."

Nox bit his lip nervously as he walked down the street headed to the house this 'big' party was being held at. Normally he didn't do parties or gatherings or social events but he couldn't...couldn't stand the silence at home any longer. Hell he hadn't even barged over to bother Mark and her siblings since he'd gotten back. He was a mess but he was determined to straighten himself out and carry on with his life. So here he was on his way to this party, dressed casually with his hair up, his white shirt half buttoned, knee length jean shorts clinging to his hips with blue flame swim trunks underneath. He hoped he wasn't dressed strange but he'd been told that it was a pool party. His towel was a simple one with a single dolphin emblazoned upon it.
There, up ahead was a brightly lit house and a few people outside it, so it had to be the place he was looking for. He headed up the driveway just in time to hear a familiar female voice squeal out a name. He grinned as he spotted Mark clinging onto some girl with auburn hair and slid up behind her, well out of reflex range. "Hullo Mark, long time no see."

....was this a trap?
Mark's eyes sat on Indigo for a few moments. Maybe she didn't want to explain how they met? Or had she actually forgotten? Mark didn't tend to forget when bullies tried to mess with her or when pink fuzz balls tried to bite off her face. Nah, she must've been acting, who could possibly forget someone like Mark? No one obviously, she was far too fabulous to overlook. Plus no one could be that spaced....maybe she'd try to talk to her about it later, maybe get her cell so they could go out defending the good and whatnot.
She smiled politely. "I'm Mark Jacobs. I go to Valley High, but Eolande wanted me to come!" she cooed, nuzzling Eolande's cheek.
The voice behind her sounded familiar, she looked around before letting out an ear-piercing shriek. "NOXXY!!!" she squealed, detaching herself from Eolande to make a flying leap at Nox instead. "I haven't seen you in like, forever!"

A small grimmace flitted across his lips at the shriek, he'd forgotten what a set of lungs Mark had on her, before the thought fled straight out of his mind. Oh to dodge or not to dodge- ack! Choice made... Ooo...boobs...the heaviest parts of Mark were pressed firmly against him and he couldn't help but notice how nice it felt. Mmm...no Bad Nox! This was MARK, the one who used to beat him up for the strangest things. "H-hello to you too." He gasped out, hands settling on Marks waist before moving up to give the girl a hug. Damn how he missed her. "You've gotten taller and curvier," He said, finally pulling away. "Can I still tease you about being single?"

Marlon honestly didn't know whether or not to feel at ease as he saw more people congregating toward his house. While he was glad that it didn't look like he would have a problem with lack of guests, which he felt was the first step to having an un-cool party, the anticipation of his living room being crowded with guests and potential people for him to bump into and trip over prevented him from becoming completely at ease, even at the sight of a face as familiar as Eolande's. At least this girl....Indigo, was it, seemed to like the idea of swimming in a salt-water pool. He smiled his politest smile and extended his hand. "Marlon. Nice to meet you Indigo."
He smiled at Mark, refraining from raising a questioning eyebrow at Eolande. She seemed pretty.....enthusiastic. At least it seemed as though plenty of interesting characters were showing up; more than enough to take everyone's mind off of him and any faux pas he might happen to make at his own party. He gestured the rest into the living room before closing the door; he would be on hand to greet any more arrivals, and in the meantime he could maintain a respectable distance, maybe get Eolande for a few minutes to just chit-chat some.

The sudden presence of a arm around her waist caused Elande to give a startled jump. Her eyes snapped around, and met the smiling features of mark. Almost instantly she relaxed. Oh..thank goodness. For a moment she honestly had been afraid! "Mark." She said in a low voice. her cheeks were starting to turn a slight shade of pink as she shifted her grip on her swim bag. "H-hi." Such a excited greeting was hardly something she could ignore after all.
She heard Marlon's voice then, and she turned a smiling gaze upon her friend. Lifting her hand, she wiggled her fingers at him with a smile. "Hi Marlon! It looks like your party is going to be a good one. There are so many people here already." She remarked while glancing about at the others that had come. She...was not sure if she actually knew any of them, and that made her grateful to have mark close at hand. She thought maybe she'd seen one girl (Indigo) around school before but...did they have a class together? She couldn't remember. Of course, attempting to remember was terribly difficult to do when Mark was nuzzling her in such a way.
"Maaaaaaaark." She giggled softly with a small squirm.
Someone else seemed to be greeting Mark now though, and that was reason enough for Eolande to look over. That and the fact that mark had clearly let go of her to engage him. The boy (Nox) was unquestionably a stranger to her. She didn't recognize any aspect of him in the least. Still, he seemed to be rather familiar to Mark. Considering how they hugged and all. Eolande's pink cheeks began to fade back to their normal color and she shifted her grip on her bag. With fingers tightening at that seemingly simple question of the boy's, Eolande found herself turning her eyes away and shuffling a few steps back towards Marlons house. her gaze slipped to her friend as he introduced himself to the one girl. "Ah...Say...Marlon. I need a place to change into my suit..." She thought to ask softly. She felt weirdly awkward right now for some reason and just wanted to slip away out of sight and hide in the shadows....

"EEE! You woulda hardy noticed all the curves and swirls if you at least like, TRIED to keep in touch!" she said, pouting at him. She stuck out her tongue and giggled. "Still single, don't worry, ou can still try to sweep me off my feet and carry me off like a princess.....if you weren't built like a sizable pipe-cleaner!" she laughed. It was far more likely that Mark could pick up Nox and carry him around like a little princess.
Mark caught the tail of Eolande's shirt and tugged her a moment. "Wait for me! I'll come with!" Eeee, so trying, torn between her bff and her childhood bff....what was a girl to do? "By the way, this lanky twig is Nox, we used to be like super tight," she flashed him a cheeky grin, "and this is Eolande, I may or may not have kidnapped her while I was shopping."
Honestly meeting Eolande hadn't been the most normal introduction she'd had to anyone, bumping into her and pulling her around the mall for ice cream. But then, Mark always was a little eccentric.
