I was reading a Zelda story that someone wrote at the age of 13 (that person is probably in his twenties now). As I was reading, I noticed how many spelling and grammar errors were in the story.

As a kid, we were taught how to write and make a sentence. However, we were never taught of how to make a proper sentence until we grew older. This is where the challenge begins. Let's see how good you were as a child when it came to writing.

First, find a writing material that you've made as a child. It can be a story, essay, or a report. However, it has to be written when you were a child, like from your primary school to middle school. Any writing material from high school to above does not count. The writing materials that are not included are those below with reasons:

Journal/Diary: Those are personal information to express someone's inner self.
Comic/Manga/Doujinshi: It's like an animation show on paper with subtitles.
Poetry: It's another form of literary art that expresses the meaning or expression. Besides, how can you do a challenge on haiku?

Once you find a writing material that you've written as a child, start counting how many spelling and grammar errors you've made, starting from the beginning to the ending. If your writing material is long, have a calculator or a piece of paper and pencil to help you keep track of your score. When you're finished counting, check your score below to see your result:

Less than 5 errors: Wow, you've must be a pro writer when you were that age.
6 to 15 errors: Okay, there are some errors. But hey, you were a kid when you wrote it. At least you've improved.
16 to above: What the heck have your teacher/parent been teaching you? If they didn't teach you how to write a proper sentence, I'm surprised how you've managed to do your reports in high school, college, and other working business that needs reports.

This is a challenge for those who like to write and/or read. If you like this idea and pass it around, you may if you want to. However, good luck finding those to challenge.

If you've happened to find your writing material, please post the EXACT story that you wrote as a child. While posting your story, bold the spelling and grammar errors. Once finish, write down the total number of mistakes you've made in the story. If your writing material is really long, just stop at the 16th - 20th error and write # + as your total of error.

If you have 5 or less errors, PM me so I can give you 10k.

To Ninian (aka: Suisho Tomoe): Yours is still 15 errors or less since yours is an early challenge. If you got it less than 15, I'll send you your 10k. LOL XD

This post made me fish out an old story I started writing when I was in 6th grade, which was a loooooong time ago. I had written 11 chapters before I realized it was utter garbage, and needed a drastic overhaul.
I read chapter one, which was like a page and a half long, and only found 6 actual mistakes (though the writing itself was absolutely dreadful, and I made the main character Kaylee into such a Mary sue *facepalms*). I can post it if any one is interested in how awful it was... I cringe to think how terrible of a writer I used to be.
