- Aagiro's pads pressed slightly into the damp, smooth sand of the beach as her body swayed and she carried herself down the shoreline. The sgreat ball of fire had sunk very low in the sky, now it was nestled just alway out of view. It was like the great water had embraced it and now cradled it, and the sun clearly was pleased by this. It's last warmth bathed the ocean and it's shores, hues of pink and orange coated the area softly. It was a magnificent sight to behold, one she deeply wished she was sharing with Men. Annon'nen her mind seemed to whisper, even now her very being tingled at the thought of his full name. At the same time it was frustrating and a little infuriating. Their trip to the swamps was still heavily on her mind, most of all the very end of that short lived trip. Not only had she found out his full name but she'd also been told the nature of their relationship. Friends, it had been decided. She knew she should have been grateful, especially considering the fact that before they'd decided to be friends they'd basically been what... travelling companions? That were at each others throats every day? It was almost laughable.
It was even more laughable that Aagiro's dislike for Men had evolved into something closer to love. It wasn't fair though, especially when Ammon'nen just thought of her as a friend! She sighed deeply and her gaze flickered over the water, taking in the crashing sights of the white foam and the glistening sunshine over the water. Every day seemed a little harder when she was with him, her daily walks had gotten longer and longer, because now being with the male lion was awkward in a different manner entirely. More often thoughts of leaving Men entered her mind, and more often she was confiding herself that it might be better for her heart if they parted ways. She knew it would feel terrible at first, but it would be worse if she stayed by his side and continued to let her feeling grow, hopelessly wishing that his own feelings of friendship would turn into something more. If she left now there was a chance of her feelings fading, of the heartache coming and then also fading and healing. She could find herself a strong, fierce male that fell deeply and madly in love with her.
She frowned, the last of the sunlight was washing over the ocean and would soon be gone entirely. Thoughts of leaving Nen's see made her stomach knot up unpleasantly. What else could she do? She just wished the gods above hadn't decided to think of her life so fondly, to turn it into some giant joke. But was it the gods that influenced her life, or was this all her own doing? Her tail flicked and she finally stopped walking. She slowly settled herself to a sitting position, tail curling about her paws as she let the sea was over her der so lightly. The water was cold enough to send chills down her spine, but it wasn't unwelcome. If only there was smoke way to know if Ammon'nen would forest see her as a friend, or if maybe he would come to see her in a different light. Maybe if she had not lost her temper with him so often...
She shook her head, sighing again. If she had perhaps treated him as she'd treated the other lions they'd met on their travels... no, that felt odd even just thinking it so. She took a deep breath and wondered if perhaps she should tell him her feelings before they parted ways. That was only fair, wasn't it? Oh but that made her stomach twist and turn almost as badly as the thought of leaving his side! Surely he'd think that she had lost her mind, would he not? She did not like this, not one bit. She wished that she could just come to a final decision instead of letting all of the conflicting thoughts that she was having stew. If only she could ask for advice from someone. Anyone, really. She did not have any other friends besides Men though, and that thought was almost bitter. She figured perhaps she could ask a passing bird but no birds lingered often in their company. The idea of eating a bird was more appealing to her than actually asking for advice in the matters of her life. She laughed lightly at the thought of how queer it might seem to another, glimpsing her as she sat and spoke to a feathered friend. She did not even know if birds were good at giving advise, let alone if she could find one that would hear her out. "look at me sitting here... thinking of spilling my secrets to those gosipping little creatures... anyone would think that I was mad! and then she laughed more, because it was said only those not sound of mind spoke to themselves. Only the waves and the sand and the air could hear her words.
And the stars, she saw. A few had finally unhidden themselves in the sky and there they shone, glittering and twinkling as though they thought her troubles amusing. It was amusing though, wasn't it? She should just decide! And quickly, because she knew she should return to Men soon. She had sorest been gone for a long while, the great fire ball had been fully visible in the sky when she had gone off on her own, though already sinking toward the ocean. Her dark eyes took in the speckling lights of the eras for what seemed like a long time before she shut them. She shut them tight and thought over matters in her head before she opened them again and wished there was just some sort of sign she could have that would let her know that telling Men the sever troubles of her heart and then leaving his side to travel on her own would be the right thing to do. And then she saw it, she saw something magnificent. In all of her time living she thought she had never seen it's like before, up above and clear for her to see a star had danced across the heavens!
She blinked and wondered if she had imagined it, but suddenly a second danced as well! She caught her breath and scanned the sky, many more of the glittering lights had some out to play. She wondered where those dances had led those stars, it was almost like they'd fallen right out of the sky! She stood and nodded, that was her sign and her answer. Just as she finished standing her gaze caught something glittering as the water lapped at the shore. She moved forward and with placed a paw over two hard, smooth stones. They were unlike any stones she had seen, shiny and the brightest blue imaginable. Wait, or were they green? It seemed they were one and then the other as the moonlight played across them, they were beautify. And there were two of them... like the stars and like she and Annon'nen! She bent down and picked them up in her maw, not able to know of such thugs as seaglass. She thought somehow the stars had made themselves appear on the shore, and then she thought perhaps she truly was mad. She began to leave the sea, making her way back to her male companion. She would tell him tomorrow, she decided.
