Aksaja shoved yet another minipet out of the walkway in his dorm room even as he pulled out his EyePhone to send Roch a message. He'd told the other boil they could meet in the club room at some point, but he had some free time right now and well . . . he didn't really want to walk over there. Yea yea, call him lazy but this should be just as easy, right?
Grabbing a few pillows from on and around the bed, he plopped them down in the middle of the floor to make a seating area. At least, so long as the minipets stayed out of the way.

Roch paused at the door, knocking on it briefly before peeking in. "Hey, Aksaja, you here, man? I got your message--" He blinked as he saw all the minipets in the room. It made his look positively unoccupied. Then again, with Jackdammit as his main pet, he wasn't really surprised that the other pets that showed up tended to disappear a lot of the time through the closet door.
He actually liked the monster dorm. It was definitely a lot more interesting than the reaper dorm. "I'm coming in!" he added, stepping into the room.

"Yea, just come on in!" Aksaja called back, plopping down another pillow. He'd also grabbed some snacks and drinks from the kitchen. "Sorry 'bout them," the lightning dragon murmured, nudging at one of the minipets that got a little too close to the plate of snacks. Not that he was entirely successful, since one of the spookies there got stolen.
"They're not exactly all, ah, trained."

"Yeah, I got a cat that isn't, either." But he didn't collect this many of them, that was for sure, he thought as he came into the room. He sat down on the pillow before one of the minis got the chance and reached for a spookie.
"So let's talk shop," he said, jumping straight to the subject. "I told the club about you helping, but some of them got the impression that a host just sat around schmoozing ghouls. So I gotta ask... what IS a host?"
This was nothing near as bad as Danny's room! A few dozen pets or so was nothing compared to baking alive.

Aksaja blinked at that description of a host, pausing in the midst of reaching for a spookie himself. "Well, ah, I guess. That's . . . one way to describe it. But it's more than that, really," he went on, with a faint smile, plucking a spookie off the plate and taking a bite.
"It's more about making the guests that come to events feel welcome, and comfortable. No matter what gender they are . . . I really don't mind if it's a boil or a ghoul."

"Ah, so you're a... what did that crossdresser call it back then..." he said to himself, frowning in thought. "Equal opportunist!" Which probably HADN'T been what the guy called it, but it was close enough in Roch's mind.
"Yeah, that's cool. But here's the deal," he went on. "I've got a couple of different style players, and I know of one or two more that do even more different styles. So I was thinking we could do a themed party now and then."
He leaned forward, looking more excited. "See, we got Xiu, who plays this bamboo flute, and Mitsu, who's her pianist. It's this real... eerie, relaxing music, y'know? Think she called it Chinese. I figured a party that fit the music would be really cool. Course I'd have to ask them first, but could you pull off something that fit it?"

Aksaja tilted his head just slightly at the mention of 'equal opportunist' but well . . . he supposed it was true enough. Deciding to let that slide for the moment, he leaned back a little and listened to the rest of what Roch said. About this 'Chinese' music. It sounded pretty interesting to him, actually.
"Oh, a themed party would be pretty cool I think," he answered quickly, smiling at the other. I'd have to hear the music first but it can't be that hard to match decorations and such to it."

"Oh, uh, yeah, lemme see if I can't find somethin sort of like it," Roch said, digging out his phone and gruegling something quickly. "Here," he said, handing over the phone as he started playing the song. It's somethin' like this," he added.

Aksaja listened to the song quietly for a few minutes, then nodded slightly. "It's very relaxing . . . I don't think it would be hard at all to set up an atmosphere to go with something like that. Maybe outside, near the forest." But not too close. Jack knew they didn't want to get in trouble or anything like that.
"If Xiu and Mitsu have any ideas for decorations that would fit the style, that would good too."

"We'll have to ask them," Roch said. "I don't have any clue. My idea of a party usually involves drums, guitars, and a special area for sparring," he said simply. "But I bet they have a much better idea for classy stuff," he said, glancing at his watch. "You could ask them, or I could, although... it's a little tough getting Mitsu to... well, talk, as far as I can tell."

Aksaja tilted his head slightly at that. "Oh? How come, is she shy or something?" he asked. He was pretty good at getting shy people to talk . . . . or at least getting reactions out of them. Something like that.

"Yeah, you could say that. But I should get goin," Roch said, standing. "I've got some stuff I need to take care of, myself. Thanks, though! I think this might really work out." Then he was gone, because, seriously, WAY too many minipets in this place. It was starting to get to him.
