Everything had been going perfect, too perfect it seemed. Now it had fallen apart. Arachne found herself unbelievably sad. She had lost Raj... How could she have done that? Did he purposely leave her? She wasn't sure and it was heart breaking all the same. She had tried to find him for many long hours and nothing, not one thing led to him. What had she done wrong? She sighed as she moved slowly through the land. It had been raining not long ago, her fur was drenched and made her look even more pathetic.

Her neck and hair cloth heavy upon her neck and head. Though, she made no effort into taking them off. They would dry eventually, and be as how they were. She had no effort in doing a lot of things. At least for the moment. Depression washed over her, she needed someone to listen or perhaps someone that had a similar story to tell. She needed comfort. She was shy, though, and it didn't come easy to her. Everyone she had seen since she had lost Raj she had ran from. She was afraid her looks would scare him, as well as she wouldn't be able to talk to them.

She was timid, very timid. Especially when it came to her looks. She was afraid to scare others off before they even got to know her. She hated spiders, and didn't know why she was cursed to bare the marking of one. She stopped walking. She had walked a long way, it was time to sit down. She flopped down and looked about. She shook her body to better dry herself. The sun had come out since it had rained, which showed promise. Her fur fluffed out in all directions as she sat there, bits of her white coat brown with mud.

User ImageHow long had it been since he was kicked out of his family pride? A week, a month, two or three? He could no longer remember, and at this point that was just fine with him, because the very thought just brought back bad memories of what he used to be, and what he was working to get away from in a sense, though part of it still clung to him, begging to be allowed to continue to live on within him. Ithu could still see it as clear as day. The day he was kicked out he was nothing but a mass of confusion, anger, heartache and self-pity.

While he was no longer confused, the other three feeling still held tight. He still held anger at his family. He still ached to return to them even though he knew he could not. And he still pitied himself with how worthless his life was becoming. He couldn't hunt all that well. He had no one to turn to and no where to go. So what was he supposed to do with himself? He knew that if he wanted to survive he would have to work hard and establish himself, but that was easier said than done, especially for someone as young and hardheaded as himself. Wanting an end goal, but unwilling to work for it.

Grunting, the lone male made his way across the land, his paws getting dirtied from the mud beneath his paws. While the wet muddy feeling was annoying, he paid no mind to it. He had other things to think about, like when his next meal would be, where he would stay when night came along, and if the area he was in was safe for rouges. But just as fast as the thoughts appeared they vanished when he caught sight of the lone drowned looking lioness.
Did she get caught in the rain, of fall in to a river or lake?
Looking around for a moment, Ithu carefully made his way over to investigate.
“Why the drowned look?”

She almost jumped when she heard a voice. She was sure that she was completely alone. Though, it almost didn't surprise her she wasn't. Her heart almost leaped when she heard the voice, though it wasn't the voice she wanted. Making it sink a little. She didn't want to be alone, but she didn't want to be any trouble on someone else. She only just realized what he had said to her. " I-I was w-walking in the r-rain" She spoke quietly. It almost sounded like she was cold. Though she was not. She just wasn't use to running into new faces.

She hadn't tried to hide from the rain at all, she had more important things to do. Then again, she knew she wasn't going to find what she was looking for. A long dread feeling of doubt rose up in her. It hat swept her away, keeping her from any happy thought for the past few days... perhaps weeks. She didn't know. She didn't keep track. It was like her whole world flipped upside down and just stopped.

She wanted to run from the other, but her feet wouldn't move. They had been stuck in that spot for some time now. She wanted to leave, but her body didn't. She figured it was because she was trying to dry in the sun, but part of her knew that was wrong. She gave a weak, fake smile to the other.

Pausing in his step, Ithu thought it best to just keep some distance between him and the worn down lioness. It was clear that his presence was disturbing her, and he didn't want to end up pushing his luck and see if she still had enough energy to harm him in case he ended up making the wrong move.

"Yeah, I can see that. I hate to sound like a jerk, but you look like a wreck, like a drowned rat or something." he said as he took a seat on the damp ground. Curiosity rose up within him, but he couldn't bring himself to voice his questions and possible concerns. The air of hopelessness and slight depression was clear to him, however he knew better. He knew that such wounds were better left unquestioned and untouched by strangers. Whatever was pulling her down and tearing her apart would be left as her own secret. However, it seemed his mouth got ahead of his own logic.

"If you don't mind me asking, what were you doing traveling around in the rain. Could you not find some sort of shelter or something? What could be so important that you would choose to run around in the cold rain?"

As he told her she looked like a downed rat, she looked herself over. Perhaps she did look a bit pathetic. She didn't even notice until he spoke of it. She let off a small giggle. The type of giggle that couldn't be suppressed but probably shouldn't have come out of her. It had been a while since she giggled, and it felt good. "I suppose you're right. I do." Though as soon as the light feeling of joy crossed over her at her look, it vanished.

She looked from herself, to him, then to the ground. Her heart sank even more. "I've lost someone, and I can't find them." She spoke in almost a whisper. She didn't dare add on to it. No, doing so would admit that she'd never find him again. That, that she couldn't handle at the moment. She looked from the ground to him. Sorrow filled her eyes, yet she gave off a smile. A weak, small smile, but still one.

She paid no mind to the rain as it fell on her while she was looking. Not when it even got worse. There were worse things then rain. Though, now her paws were a muddy brown, as well as most of her legs. her red and white hidden behind it.

Ithu stared on in silence, his ears filling with the sound of the falling rain and the occasional breeze. It was kind of fitting, the odd weather to go with his odd situation, but if he could take a guess he would say that the sun wouldn't stay up in the sky for long. It didn't seem like the rain was lightening up, so the only other guess would be that a storm might roll over the lands soon if the rain continued on for much longer.

"I'm sorry to hear that..." he said while turning his attention back to the lioness. "Were they someone really close to you? Do you know of anyone who could have any idea where they vanished off to?"

What more could he say? What more could he even do? It wasn't as if he knew the lioness or what she was looking for. He could offer to help search for this other 'someone', but what if they didn't want to be found? No one in their right mind would just get up and vanish like that unless they didn't want to be found. Or what if something had happened?

Ithu kept his questions and thoughts on the matter to himself. The female looked so broken down already, and he didn't want to be so much of a jackass as to come out and ask such things to her. Maybe she had already ran such thoughts through her own mind already, but if not, then he didn't want to be the one to bring them up.

He was kind, at least that's what she got from him. He seemed to want to help her, but he didn't even know her. She nodded her head to his first one than shook her head at his other question. She had asked as many creatures as she had ran into. Her hope was gone. She had talked to a few others that had the same problem as her. It, of course, didn't make her feel good at all. They hadn't found them which meant that she'd probably never find Raj again, too.

She gave the other a weak smile. "Thank you, though." She said even if he wouldn't know exactly why she said it. His heart was good, and she hoped he'd always stay that way, this lion.

"This rain," she started "seems like it'll never slow down" She looked up for a moment than back at him. Trying to change the subject to something else. To distract her mind, perhaps. It hurt too much to continue.

Giving a light nod, the young lion carefully took a seat a foot or so away from the female. It wasn't that he thought she was mean or anything of the sort, but if he learned anything from living on his own for the past few months it was that his mother was right about the whole "better safe than sorry" thing.

"Yeah, but no storm lasts forever, right? It always eventually comes to an end, and even if it leaves a mess behind good things always grow from it in time, or at least that's what my mother always talked about. It's always just a matter or waiting through the storm, even if some last longer and do more damage than others."

Ears twitching and a smile creeping along his face, Ithu looked up at the graying sky once more and watched as the clouds gathered over head. It sort of brought him some sense of peace to think about his family. He had harbored so much anger towards them since being chases off that he never really took the time to sit and think about the positive of it all.

"You know, I know I just met you, and sad to say that you do look like a drowned mess right now, but if you're going to stay out here and drown some more I'm more than willing to keep you company. Who knows, maybe this storm will be a beautiful one."

She couldn't help but give a small smile at his words. He was trying hard to make her feel better, and so far it was working. He was so kind, and she was glad she ran into him. He was also funny to, it seemed. "Your mother sounds like a very smart lioness." She spoke with her soft voice again. Perhaps she was also as kind as he was, but she wasn't going to ask that. It wasn't her business to pry in someone else's life.

"I do look a bit like a drowned mess right now." She nodded in agreement. Her scarf thing had been so wet that it was plastered to her white fur, as well as her mane was straight and stuck to the side of her face. "I am not sure where there is some shelter, however." She spoke. She really liked that he was going to stay with her. It was nice to know she wasn't going to be alone. "We should find a place, I wouldn't want to get you sick." She knew she'd probably come down with a cold after this one. Nothing too bad, she hoped. "Though, I hear lightning storms can be quite pretty"
