I have been noticing that there are a lot of beginners and people seeking knowledge about Paganism and the paths within it joining this guild recently.
So I wanted to get some basic information out to them. I know many of us follow different traditions and paths however there are the basic ways to get started thatr I think we all can share. So if you have something to share about getting started or even a personal story as to how you found your path, please post it.

Finding Your Deities:

To put it frankly, they will come to you when they are ready to or when they think you are ready to accept them. You cannot and certainly should not command them to make themselves known to you. It takes time and it will not happen in a day. While a particular god or goddess may interest or fascinate you it does not mean that they are meant for you. Patience is key!

The hardest thing for me when I first started exploring paganism was finding information I can trust. The whole New Age movement has started this trend where people think they can say whatever they want and be taken seriously, publishers also tend to publish just about anyone who can string together an appealing couple of chapters regardless of actual substance.

The best advice I could give would be to double check your information and research authors before you put your trust in them.
